Our room was beautiful, comfortable and very well maintained. Everyone we dealt with was friendly and courteous. We were within walking distance of Pier Park and enjoyed walking there several times to shop and eat. We will definitely stay here again. The best feature about the Calypso is location. It is conviently located close to Pier Park which has many dining and shopping options. Had a blast....hotel is close to the pier and pier park. The oyster bar across the street is pretty good, if your gonna eat out stay away from the places in pier park, their allways busy and way overpriced for the kind of food they have. The beach was great and the condo was nice.

I was willing to pay a bit more than comparative units because Calypso was the only 1 bedroom condo with the bedroom balcony doors overlooking the ocean. This was our one year wedding anniversary, so a splurge to sleep by the romance of the sea was worth it. Unfortunately, we got a condo with the bedroom on the street side. Oaseas management said the […] individual owners have most of the one bedroom with balconies. They only have 3 and we couldn’t be changed. That was a very big let down. It is hard to say whether or not that was worse than the shock of the condition of the unit. The walls looked like they hadn't been painted in years. Tiny nails poked through the 3-4” frayed carpet edges. The additional separate cleaning fee that you pay at check in must not include the entire bathroom. The base of the toilet and behind it were disgusting, a thick coating of dust on the vanity lights. I put my things in the bathroom drawer before I noticed that someone’s bold aqua powder eye shadow had spilled and not been wiped out. It got all over my brushes, jewelry bag, etc. The tracks on the armoire drawers were broken so the drawers were very difficult to open and close. There were no hangers in the unit. The ceiling fan in the living room didn't work. Maintenance came and went several times without fixing and never returned. We finally got tired of calling. If you do rent from Oaseas note that their check in office is actually across the street on the outside of the parking garage. Sterling also manages Calypso units. They have the normal lobby, loading and unloading area. It takes a lot of walking around to find Oaseas office if you don’t know where it is beforehand. Read more

The Family and I overall have a great stay at Calypso. I however booked our room through Oaseas Resorts, their office is located on the other side of the street from the main lobby. We arrived on a Monday evening during check-in hours and no one was present in the office, we have to call the company and got our room info over the phone after approx […] a 30min wait. They seem to be only there during the morning hours for check-out. My only other complaint was there was no iron available during our stay. Sterling Resorts also books rooms at the Calypso, their office is in the main looby and from what I heard is a better experience with checking in and making sure of have amenities that you need. Other than that the rooms have great views of the beach and Gulf, your are walking distance from the Pier Park Mall and the staff was at least courteous. Read more

Master bathroom was not clean and last visitors dirty towels in the bathtub. Took them 8 hours to bring new towels. Did not clean bathroom even though cleaning lady brought the towels.
