"Best in Pompei"
The staff was more than helpful even finding glue to repair the brim of my panama hat. The craftsmanship and design of the hotel was very good.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Sweet and friendly staff; close to Pompei Ruins"
We were warmly welcomed. Every staff member was friendly and very helpful. We found our room clean and fresh and very comfortable. Hotel has an arrangement with a nearby campground so that hotel guests can park their cars for free all day while visiting the ruins; the campground is just across from the entrance to Pompeii's ruins. Right across the street […] from the hotel was an excellent restaurant; it was the best meal of our trip! When we checked out in the morning, we were given a sack lunch for our drive and were told that they were "honored to have us stay in their hotel". Ours was a very pleasant stay and a good experience. We highly recommend this hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Do not stay here!"
We feel very misled by this hotel. For a supposed 4 star hotel, it was dirty, lacked amenities and far from everything. Upon arriving, the front desk clerk tried to charge me for my prepaid room. Luckily, I had the confirmation from hotels, com printed out to prove we prepaid. Our room itself was clean but a bit cramped. A/C worked wonderfully. The bathroom, […] however, was horrible. The shower was coated in mildew and grime. Neither of us wanted to even shower without sandals on to protect our feet. Again...NOT acceptable for a supposed 4 star hotel. The website was incredibly misleading regarding the distance of the hotel from the Pompeii ruins. The hotel was miles away from anything except for one, extremely over priced restaurant. We walked around a bit as we had no car (huge mistake as cabs charge €20 for a ride anywhere, which is ridiculous) and the neighborhood the hotel is in is extremely sketchy and extremely dirty with trash strewn everywhere. There are numerous hotels way closer to tourist attractions in Pompeii. Trust me, stay there and stay away from here. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Well kept hotel, good staff"
Location is not close to station to walk with bags. It's a 15 -20 minute walk to town center and ruins. The surrounding neighborhood is industry. The hotel is clean, quiet, good hot water, good breakfast. Would be good for a business travel.

Within walking distance from the Pompei Scavi (historical ruins area). There are some nice restaurants within a 10-minute walk. You can also visit Vesuvio with arranged tours that start next to the entrance to Pompeii historical area.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Semplicemente Eccellente in tutto"
Semplicemente Eccellente in tutto. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Maiuri - a pleasant experience thanks to its staff"
10/21/14 Anees1909 Birmingham, United Kingdom
A few days back, spent a week in Pompeii. Please note that Pompei is centrally located to visit Amalfi Coast and thereabouts if you are on a budget and you are driving and Hotel Maiuri is located strategically, just off the motorway.(You do pay a toll of 2 Euros each time you use the motorway) but there are other routes if you want to avoid that. Hotel Maiuri is neat and functional. Towels and sheets are changed everyday and toiletries are provided (but we preferred to use our own). Breakfast in included. It is quite basic but the staff are attentive and boil eggs and make tea / coffee for you. However "what" made our stay in Mauiri comfortable was, (or rather "who" did) in one word (name)..... GERARDO GUARIGLIA.... right from our airport pick up, he was courteous and extremely helpful and pleasant and went out of his way to make things easy for us and he spoke good English, which was a bonus. He was our guide / receptionist / chauffeur / friend. Thank you Gerardo! If I do go back to Pompei, will definitely stay in Mauiri again.
"very good and recommended."

we booked a package holiday using lastminute.com ( flight and hotel) to pompeii. We decided to booked a transfer from airport to the hotel. It costed 60 euro each way. A bit expensive but worth it as we don't speak italiaan and could be a little bit complicated to use the train. It was a hassle free transfer. When we arrived at the hotel, the first impression was that it could do with a bit of paint on the outside. The room was clean, good size with balcony and view on the Vesuve volcano and the mountain. the room was clean everyday and was comfortable, . The breakfast was continental and was nice. In general the staff were very helpful. The location was great about 20min to the ruin of Pompeii. The negatives points are minors: - the car for the transfer was a bit old - need painting outside the hotel - noise above the bedroom on our last night but quickly solve by the staff. My general opinion of this hotel is positive and highly recommend it .
"Bit of a walk to the ruins. "

We specifically came to Pompeii to see the ruins and this hotel is not very close. $15 cab ride from main gate/train station. The hotel was ok. The rooms were small and the service was great. It is classified as a 4 star which I don't agree with. Definitely 3 star.
"Awesome service !"

Stayed here for 1 night while visiting the ever famous Pompeji. We were 4 people and we had booked one room. When we saw the room there were a double bed and a bunk bed. Since we were 4 adults travelling, I went down in the reception and complained. In no time we got and extra room no charge. AMAZING!

The hotel is clean but the room was a little small. Breakfast was good, their cappuccinos excellent. However we did not have a car and it was quite a walk into town and the stations. The staff were really helpful and friendly. We got completely stung by a cab charging us 120 Eurors from Naples airport to the hotel. The hotel staff were really sympathetic and dropped us off to the ruins and the station for free!

The hotel is located near the highway and offers free parking. The rooms are a bit small but well furnished including a desk. Beds are very firm and they squeak as we move. In our room the shower head is partially blocked and sprays water awkwardly. The room is very clean. Breakfast is average and the coffee is quite strong. If it is not for the size of the room and the noisy bed, my rating would have been higher. Overall the price to value is honest.

This little gem of a hotel took us by surprise. It's only two years old but has award winning achitecture. The lobby is beautiful and breakfasts was fresh and delightful. The owner also owns the Ristoranti Macarone across the street, where we had wonderful dinners.

I booked this hotel at the last minute, on the advice of a guidebook, and I was not disappointed. The room was very nice, with a balcony that was great for relaxing in after a long day of exploring the ruins of Pompeii. The room I was in had hard tile floors, so best to bring a pair of slippers or something, but otherwise a very nice room with in-room safe. The staff is excellent, both day and night personnel. I stayed for 3 nights, and on the second morning of my stay the gentleman behind the breakfast counter already remembered my breakfast preferences. As many others have said, it's a bit of a walk to the train station, about 5 minutes (1.1 km). I was able to manage just fine with bags- it's all level ground, and except for a couple of about 5 m stretches, there's wide sidewalks the entire way. Do make sure you go to the Pompeii Train station, NOT Pompeii Scavi, otherwise you're in for a hike. The hotel is about 15-20 minutes walking distance from the ruins of Pompeii.

Staff are friendly, room was nice and clean, good hot water and good breakfast. Location is 15-20 minutes from town center and ruins. A bit far from central station, not an easy walk with bags. Good value.
