The hotel owner was very friendly and accomodating. The breakfast choices which were included were great! We arrived during a cold period and it snowed and was very windy. The heat was not sufficient in the two rooms we reserved. That is my only complaint. Otherwise would be a great place to stay in good weather.

great place. only downside was the bathroom was about 18 inches wide. my knees literally touched the wall when i was sitting on toilet and i'm not a big person! but i'm sure all the bathrooms are not that small. the towels in the room were huge and fluffy. breakfast was adequate.

We had troubles finding maps to the hotel, but based on another person's review indicating that the hotel was just a short walk through the tunnel, we were easily able to find it. The staff was very friendly. I would recommend this hotel to others.

We loved staying at Giovanni Rooms! We would definitely stay here again. You couldn't find a better location. The view is absolutely stunning. I think Manarola's the most beautiful city to stay in, too. The rooms are really nice and well kept. The only thing to keep in mind is that walking to the hotel from the train station is a little bit of a hike, just because it's near the top of the city. It doesn't take long (5-10 min.), but it's steep. It was fine for us, but a little bit hard on my older in-laws.

It's a little tough to find and easy to miss when you arrive. Only frustrating point was attempting to check in. Since there is no reception, we had to... call 2 numbers, one of which was not working and couldnt reach anyone. The friendly neighbor was very sweet to come over and reach the owners for us, which he proceded to show us to the room. If there could be a better system in place (i.e. confirmed meeting time or another location we could check in) - it would be a perfect stay. Breakfast was a beautiful spread and eggs made to order. Nice touch. Owners are very sweet and make you feel special, as a guest. Well done. Next time - I would stay here and reserve the larger room. Very cute and memoriable experience. Had a great stay for 2 nights in this hotel. Owners were very lovely and nothing was too much bother. We had an early check out and tried to pay up the night before - I emailed them and arrange via email, and they offered to provide some breakfast for us that night! Only issue was we had our own entrance - but keys getting in was difficult in the dark, […] and also the fridge in the room was too loud. Shower was fantastic!! Read more

Utrolig koselig i gamlebyen i Monterosso. Frokost rett utenfor døren, hyggelig vertskap, rolig gate hvor det bare var 1 minutt å gå til hovedgaten. Vi var 3 damer på tur og hadde en enkeltseng i første etasje og en hems med dobbeltseng. I første etasje var det god plass og en kveld satt vi syv damer der inne og hadde god plass. Vil du bo sentralt men likevel rolig og skjermet fra støy fra utelivet skal du velge dette hotellet. Sengene i trippelrommet er hardere enn de fleste setter pris på men ny og innbydende innretning på badet, god frokost og serviceinnstilt personale hever standarden.

Langt å gå fra togstasjonen i monterosso, og taxi kan ikke kjøre fram til hotellet. Greit så lenge man har lite baggasje, ca 10-15 minutter å gå. Hyggelig folk på hotellet og god service, noe som kompenserer for beliggenheten. Grei kvalitet på rommene, og det var godt rengjort.
