"Very inconvenient for transportation."
It is located at okubo station which means you need to change another railway line from the main shinjuku or Tokyo station In order to reach the hotel. So you will have to spend a very significant sum of transportation . Bear in mind, public transport is very expensive in japan, so having more station means more $$$ per person. No matter where I go, […] eg for shopping at harajuku or sibuya it cost almost 1000 yen thru and fro per pax. There are mostly western and Korean restaurants near the hotel which defeats the purpose of going japan whereby We are obviously looking for local Japanese cuisine. For hotel, is not as spacious as it seems. And I booked the Eco friendly twin room which means there will only be cleaning your room on the 3rd day. So they will charge you for every extra towel if you need and even on the 3rd day when it was supposed to be cleaned, they just merely giving you another set of towel and re arranging the bed n blankets. The table in the hotel is not cleared including no washing of the cups and glasses provided by the hotel. The most disturbing thing that I feel was there is no free wifi in the room. You can see all the guest standing around the lobby tapping the wifi which is very inconvenient. Whilst for the hotel staff, do not expect them to speak English. Most of them can't speak English nor understand English.Hence, even if you need help, they couldn't be of much help since language is a barrier. They are not helpful at all so don't expect much them. Great location within easy reach of Okubo Station. Staff extremely helpful even when I kept losing the room keycards and spoke good English. Free wifi in the lobby and a handy convenience store next door and an Udon & Italian restaurant in the same building complex. For the price, faultless!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great staff and close to train station"
Staff very helpfull. Great location. Already recommend to my friends if they ever decide to go to Tokyo :-)Genuine Expedia guest review
"Spacious and clean"
Room is neat and spacious. Restaurants and food in the neighborhood is average. Hotel room has Internet but without Wifi which is only available in hotel lobby.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good value for your money"
The hotel looks quite modest on the inside, especially the lobby, not your usual "executive type". However, I got good value for my money since: * spacious room * good amenities * helpful staff 24/7 * self service laundry (free) * LAN internet in rooms, Wifi in the lobby * 3 min walk to the JR East Okubo station which is next to Shinjuku * convenience […] store next door and good food places one to five min walk Things I would improve there and/or can be better in other places: * smell in the hallways * Wifi in rooms * better breakfast (some variety instead of same food all the time) * better instructions for washing/drying machines * closer to Tokyo subway (this one is 15-20 min. walk) Still, I liked the place and its value/price ratio and would probably stay there again when in Tokyo next time. We were very happy to stay at this hotel for a week. The location was lively and on the Yamanote line (Shin-Okubo), which was very handy. The breakfast was very basic but included in the price, so no complaints. Room size was excellent for Tokyo and we had a great view from floor 15. We would definitely go back and would recommend this hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Location, very clean"
We had a fantastic stay at Hundred Stay. We had our bags delayed from the airport & the staff allowed us to check in early. The room was very clean & reasonably spacious. The location was very close to the Okubo stop as well as places to eat, a supermarket & a pharmacy. There was no wifi in the rooms unfortunately. We had to use wifi in the hotel lobby […] & dining area but it was extremely reliable & fast. We would definitely consider staying here in the future Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"What an amazing View!!!"
The Hundred Stay Shinjuku was definitely the Best hotel we've EVER stayed in! We were upgraded free of charge because it was our honeymoon and the room we were given was amazing! It had an incredible view of Tokyo, we could see all the sights and saved us a trip up the Skytree! The staff were so helpful and friendly. The location is ideal as It's very […] close to Shinjuku and therefore the rest of the City. Hunderd Stay also Has Korean Town on It's doorstep which is another cutural experience not to miss! Great hotel, well located just five minutes from Okobu train station, great eateries and shops nearby. Building houses serviced apartments and hotels. We had a deal on a twin share room (cleaning on third night of stay). Great room. Bath facilities look a little worn out. We could smell cigarette smoke on the way to our room, even though we requested […] for a non-smoking floor. Cleaning was impeccable. "Continental breakfast" was simple and the same everyday in a canteen-type environment. Free cable internet in room. Free internet only available on the ground level. A good, clean Hotel at a good price. The rooms are a good size and have plenty of storage space/ wardrobes etc which can be a problem in Tokyo. The breakfast is basic but fine and the location is good. Shinjuku station is one stop away.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Basic breakfast. Aeon supermarket beside the hotel. The street are filled with restuarants.one station away from Shinjuku. The chuo line, which the station of the hotel, is link to soe tourist spots. Big rooms compared to other hotels.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good accommodation, not sure about location"
My only hesitation in recommending this hotel is that the location was a little far away from the main places where we wanted to socialise and explore. That said, the services offered and standard of accommodation was very good.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great place to explore from"
Great location and a great room with a superb view over Tokyo. The station is a leisurely 5 minute walk away and with a convenience store in the same building whats not to like. Really great stay and even the continental breakfast was good.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great hotel for a foreigner"
Staff are extremely helpful, very good English skills, restaurants near by including attached to the hotel offer English menu and foreigner friendly food. Very close to the train lines so easy to get around.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great value for the price"
The hotel is conveniently located, easy to find and commute to other places in Tokyo. Safe area, very quiet at night. Rooms are spacious, with big (as for Japan) toilets and kitchen facilities in room. We were upgraded to studio superior, which is enormous - living room, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, washing machine and fully equipped kitchen.Genuine Expedia guest review
Good Hotel. A few stops on the JR or a short walk from Shinkuku Station. It's located in the Korean Town. The hotel room I believe is old studio apartments so they are pretty big by Japan standards. Breakfast was included and met standards. There is free wifi in the lobby but not in the rooms.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Very big room"
The room of this hotel is very big, and the furniture looks new and clean. However, the location of this hotel is a little far away from the JR station.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good service, reliable"
I've stayed here before and it's a pretty reliable service. Very good value for money (when booking through expedia anyway) and pretty well connected for the train from Okubo or Shinokubo, also walking distance from Shinjuku/Kabuchiko if you've been out for the night. I don't generally use hotel services beyond the room itself & breakfast when I'm staying […] anywhere, and on that level Hundred Stay is very good. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Choose this hotel"
So let's start with the bad stuff. Breakfast was not great but probably similar to what other hotels offer. Checkout time is 10am which I think is a little bit early but might be normal here. And the last point but probably the worst is that it has no WiFi in the room but there is one in the lobby (which requires you to log in daily to use). Bring a […] laptop (there's cable in the room) and look up connectify for setting up wifi in-room. Now for the good stuff, great location. Okubo Station is literally right around the corner (upon arrival use north exit) as is Shinjuku's Korea Town. Okubo station can take you to Shinjuku Station and Akihabara. Shin-Okubo Station is only 5 min walk away and can take you to Ikebukuro, Shibuya/Harajuku, Ebisu, Ueno, Shinagawa etc. Those are some of the places I found interesting. Additionally, there are lots of places to eat nearby. As for the room, we had a Studio Superior Twin and it was very comfortable and spacious. AC works great (which I hear is a problem in other hotels). Room had stove top complete with pots and pans and anything you need to make food if you so choose. Also had TV and DVD player (if you like watching TV I suggest you bring DVDs unless you know Japanese). Bathroom was clean with fancy toilet. Hotel also provides Fitness and Laundry room. I really think it would be tough to find something better than this hotel in the same price range. Let me know if I am wrong. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location, nice room with a good view!"
Within walking distance to JR Okubo Station. There are plenty of restaurants and shops around the hotel. The room is spacious and clean, but the AC is weak. The only drawback is that I hardly see smile on the hotel staff"s face during my stay!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"great hotel! great staff! no so great food"
Staff were great and super helpful, room was very clean and comfy. Only downside is breaky was pretty average and not really worth it, much better off going out for breakout seeing as though the location is very central in Shinjuku!Genuine Expedia guest review
I was surprised by the good kitchen facilities in the room. But It was hard to understand the reasoning behind no dish washing liquid, scrabing brush or tea towel being provided so one could clean up after cooking and using the dishes provided. When I asked, they were happy to provide the above at a COST. So the dishes piled up till the every third […] day room service. No English TV, but if you ask, they do have free videos and English books available. Breakfast provided in the cafe was average but ok. Depending on the staff of the day, the food, plates etc could run out fast. But on reporting the situation to the desk, more staff appeared to right the situation. Overall the room and service was great, very clean and plenty of room for two, with two large storage units to be able to unpack and work from. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"I recommend this hotel!"
Good location, easy to find within a few minutes walk of Okubo and Shin Okubo stations with connections to Shinjuku. Possible to walk to Shinjuku in about 20 mins but we preferred to be a bit away from the madness! Good local neighbourhood with everything you need - shops, restaurants, bars, even a little temple! Good sized room with mini kitchen. (We […] had a superior twin - hard to find in Tokyo!) No bar or restaurant in hotel, but everything is on your doorstep. Breakfast basic - cereal, bread, juice tea and coffee -but perfectly adequate. Helpful staff. Only one small gripe- the pillows were quite hard! Otherwise excellent. Would recommend. "a very nice hotel"
A very nice hotel. Considering the location of the hotel, the rooms are quite large. It is very clean and comfortable, three minutes walk to the nearest subway. The only inconvenience would be that wi fi is only available in the lobby.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good location but a little outdated"
The hotel is fine for a short stay but the decor and furnishings are a little outdated. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very basic. Wifi is only available in the lobby but there is free cable internet in the rooms.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Excellent stay had."
I stayed on level 14 in a basic twin share room. The room was perfect. Not small. Nothing to complain about at all. Staff were extremely helpful. Location is fine, just one station north from Shinjuku or an easy 10 minute stroll from Shinjuku Station.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Good Tokyo Hotel Option"
Good accommodation, especially for a longer stay as the rooms are slightly larger than typical Japanese hotels and are equipped with kitchen facilities. Free wifi in rooms and also in the lobby and continental breakfast is included in the room rate. Good location , many restaurants around the corner and near JR line staion , only one stop to Shinjuku station,Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Hundred Stay was a little out of the way but not a long walk down to the nearest metro station or to the hustle and bustle of Shinjuku. My girlfriend and I actually liked the fact it was in a slightly quieter area. The room was pretty big for Tokyo and the bed was one of the most comfortable we've slept in! We lay down for a 5 min rest and fell asleep […] for 2 hours! Would definitely stay here again. As it is more like serviced apartments there's no restaurant and the breakfast is pretty basic but the size and comfort of the room made up for this as we preferred to eat out anyway. We made a last minute decision to switch to this hotel following some unfavourable reviews of the hotel we had originally chosen and we definitely did not regret it. Superior twin room was very big especially for Tokyo. Very clean and mini kitchen very useful if on a tight budget. Basic breakfast was also included which was good enough for us. The view […] from our room on the 17th floor was spectacular. Easy and pleasant 15 minute walk to Shinjuku station or just accross from JR Okubo station on the Chuo Line which is just one stop away. When boarding at Shinjuku be sure to go on the local line (yellow) as the rapid or express trains (orange) do not stop at Okubo. Alternatively there is also Shin Okubo station on the Yamanote loop line which is an extra 5 minutes walk away. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Very nice hotel"
I was very satisfied overall with my stay at this hotel. The rooms are very very spacious in comparison with other hotels in Tokyo and there is an excellent view of the city. There were one or two minor issues but the staff were willing and able to sort things out.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Good value for money"
I had a room on the 19th floor with a nice view over the city. It was a good room for only $100.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
As residences go, this one was quite OK, altough it reminded me of student digs. Quite basic and awful TV (only Japanese over 5 channels), but it had a CD player which I used to play my newly bought CDs. For transport, the Okube station is only 3 mins walk The breakfast was a basic continental onlyGenuine Expedia guest review
Good value for money. Close to Shinjuku but in a quiet and less crowded area. Wondeful views over Tokyo from bedroom window. nice to have breakfast included in price of room. Very comfortable bed / pillows. Spacious room, plenty of storage space.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Value for money! Highly recommended!"
We read the reviews before deciding on the hotel. We stayed 5 nights at the service apt/hotel. It is spacious, and clean. The room provides a home ipod and BOSS system! The bed was comfortable. Much better than the one we paid double the price near Disney resort. The hotel is 5 mins walk from Okubo station, which is one station from Shinjuku. We will […] walk to Shinjuku for shopping and take a train back to Okubo. And have dinner at Okubo where the food are cheaper. It is the best deal I can imagine. However, we had trouble using the dryer at the laundry room (free of charge) and no staff could help. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Excellent Value - good size room"
Rooms are a good size by Tokyo standards. The hotel is modern, and extremely well situated just around the corner from a local line JR rail station, just one stop from the centre of bustling Shinjuku. Free wifi, but no wireless LAN in rooms, so bring your own wi-fi router (like I did). It would be good if they could shampoo the carpets, which had a […] few stains, but otherwise clean and well appointed with 32" flat screen TV and Bose sound system (great if u have some CDs with you). Staff are very helpful and speak English. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location for a family on the go"
We stayed 5 nights at Hundred Stay. The hotel is very close to JR Okubo train station which is around the corner (just one stop to Shinjuku) with a supermarket (Tescos) and chemist en-route which was very handy. Room was spacious enough that our cases were not in the way and the room had a proper tiled bathroom (a few other more expensive hotels we […] stayed in had those horrible claustrophobic plastic box bathrooms with miniature tub) this room also had a full sized bath too which was great. Interesting view from the 19th floor and very quiet. We really enjoyed our stay here. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"100 Stay Tokyo Shinjuku"

"Wowed by Hundred Stay Shinjuku!! :)"
My fiance, myself, brother & friend stayed here on the last leg of our trip to Japan recently. Arriving at the hotel, we were pleased to find that the staff on the reception desk spoke very good english and were extremely helpful. We went up to our rooms on the 18th floor (standard) and upon entering were pleasantly surprised at how spacious and nice […] the rooms were! And these weren't even the deluxe rooms! There was a magnificent view over the city, microwave, tea & coffee making facilities as well as an electric stovetop & bar fridge. There was a large flat screen television with English channels & movies & a Bose sound system plus an ipod docking station. I felt like i could move right in and feel at home. The hotel offers continental breakfast & we went down (it's cheap - 600 yen each) but were not really excited at what we found, thinking toast and cereals, etc. we were slightly disappointed to find that there was no toast or spreads, only cornflakes, a few pastries, yoghurt and tea & coffee. There are many places to eat close by so it wasn't really a problem. The hotel is literally a 3 minute walk fom Okubo Station which we found was fantastic, we used the trains a lot. The area seems really nice and is close to cafe's, restaurants and shops. Plus it is so close to other areas, just a quick train ride! Upon check out, the staff held our bags for us until we were ready to leave for the airport. TIP:Take the bus if you're going to the airport :) Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Great quality, value, location - best in class"
Just one simple stop north of the main Shinjuku station and then very easy walk through an area full of *real* local shops / character (Shinjuku itself is a bit westernised, as are other areas e.g. Ginza, so it's great to feel a bit more like you are actually in Japan - as with everywhere in Japan, also feels like a very safe area). Very smart hotel, […] desk staff speak good English and there is a business area for internet access etc. Fantastic views from our room (and we were upgraded) and all the facilities you could need for a comfortable stay, plus typically clean and comfortable. Useful local amenities e.g. Tesco Express, Italian restaurant on ground floor, and proximity to Okubo station means its very easy to get to all other areas of Tokyo (and it's on the right side of town for some of the more popular areas - Harajuku etc). The N'EX service from Narita airport stops at Shinjuku (where it's an easy change onto the Sobu line for Okubo) so it's also very convenient for getting in and out from the airport. I will certainly plan to stay here on any future visits to Tokyo. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
