My wife and I studied all the hotel options in the argentine and even Brazilian side. After reading the Sheraton reviews, we decided to go with La Aldea .... What an awesome surprise. We absolutely loved this place. The hotel is so beautiful, the walkways between cabins are charming, the cabins strike the perfect balance between hotel and rainforest […] secluded experience. It is actually a very romantic place. Not to mention it is so affordable and worth every cent. My wife and I wish we could have stayed even more time in this hotel. The only downside was that the wifi in the rooms did not work and they were never able to fix it. It did work in the business center and lobby. Excelent experience. Breakfast was very good and location ideal. You can walk to the bus stop and the mall. The feel of the jungle around you is amazing. The only detail was in our bathroom there was constant faint sewer smell. Im sure its no general. Totally recomended.

Our first impression of Aldea de la Selva was a very good one as we saw a very nice lobby, the cabins scattered in the jungle, spacious, clean and nicely decorated room. Then, we started to notice some shortcomings: - a very unpleasant odor from an unidentified source occurred few times in the room (we smelled it also first time we entered the room) - […] the restaurant serves mediocre food, definitely under the expectations provided by the price. In addition to this, as the location is outside the city, you don't really have other convenient options for dinner. We arrived to a beautiful, luxurious hotel. Unfortunately, the staff at the front desk, were not as warm and friendly as the non- human surroundings. During the 3 days there, we needed additional towels at night(sick child), the night staff was unable to get them, as" they were not given the key to the housekeeping supplies". The remote control was […] broken,"I'll let housekeeping know----tomorrow". Never got fixed. The a/c controls were never explained, but after 30 minutes we figured it out. The staff is friendly, the lodge itself is incredible. Not the best location in terms of distance to the waterfalls, but I think its about as good as you can get unless you pay alot to stay at the Sheraton inside the park.

The hotel was lovely, but certainly not luxurious. Situated on the edge of jungle with cabin type lodging. Hammocks on every balcony. The bathrooms were nothing fancy. Great hotel with lodges that really make you feel like you're deep in the jungle. The staff was friendly, the breakfast good and the fireplace very cozy. But be aware, Expedia's map places this hotel in the wrong place. It is further out of town than indicated so eating dinner in town means a bus or taxi ride (although others say you can walk, it's […] not really close and along a fairly busy road). It's still near to the road to the falls though so catching the bus and back is no problem. On the way back, just make sure you sit near the front and tell the bus driver your hotel when you get on so he knows to stop there. The bus into town is also very cheap (about $1/person), but on the way back to the hotel do the same thing, tell the driver your hotel. Read more

It was really nice to wake up and feel surrounded by bush, but you are still walking distance to the main road to get the bus to the falls or to town. The guy at reception was really halpful at booking tours for us (generally at the last minute!) and getting us into the sold out full moon tour of the falls. The pool is great though, you can order food and drinks and because the lodge isn't very big there usually are more than a few other people there. While it's handy that the lodge is close to the main road so you can get around easliy, I'd reccommend requesting a room as far from the road as possible - the locals like their scooters. The rooms are very comfortable. But the bad service makes it not a nice place to stay. We didn't feel welcome when we arrived. The manager/ receptionist didn't even look at us, he kept talking in a walkie talkie while he handed over some forms to fil in. This was representative for the rest of the staff (only 2 exceptions).

This hotel is well located for visiting the falls and slightly out of town - in one way a good thing as the town is not very pretty but slightly inconvenient as any trip meant a 25 peso taxi ride. The rooms were very large , bathrooms well equipped ad very good wifi connections. Breakfast was good . There were some slight irritations - firstly the […] hot water was slghtly unpredicatable, and secondly there was very little information provided about anything - hotel facilities trips etc. It did say in the blurb that the hotel arranged trips - there was no sign of that and although the staff were extremely friendly polite and helpful we had to be proactive in saying what we wanted.. There were many operators in town who offered good trips and arranged pick up and drop off from the hotel My suggestion would be that the hotel have some literature about those operators and individual trips and assist clients with making the bookings. Finally there bar was not particulalry well stocked. Having said that the hotel was extremely good value, the facilities excellent the staff very nice and we would ertainly recommend it to others, the above is only intended as helpful suggestions. Everyone seemed helpful, even the guests and if you don't know Spanish the staff can speak English. Um passeio inesquecível as cataratas e o passeio de barco então nem se fala. O que ficou devendo foi o chuveiro do quarto, saia pouca água o que nos obrigou a tomar […] poucos banhos devido ao frio. Rezeptionist bei Ankunft etwas schrullig, restliche Mitarbeiter sehr nett. Regenwald-Feeling pur. Pool sehr sauber und angenehm zum Entspannen. Das Essen am Pool kann man sich allerding sparen. Durch das feuchte Regenwald-Klima, war auch im Zimmer "feuchter" Geruch merkbar. Dieser Geruch hat sich auch in der Kleidung festgefressen.

Ett lugnt och härligt hotell omgiven av djungel. Mycket bra pool och nära till staden. Inga problem med transporter då hotellet har egna bilar som man kan boka för egna privata utflykter var man önskar och är billigare än taxi. Dagsutflyter till […] vattenfallen på Argentiska och Brasilianska sidan fungerar snabbt och felfritt, vill man göra andra slags utflykter så går det också bra att boka direkt på hotellet. Då hotellet ligger endast ca 4km från staden så passar det perfekt att äta middag inne i stan där det finns det många bra och trevliga restauranger. Taxi tillbaka till hotellet kan restaurangerna ordna på 5 minuter. WiFi på hotellet är också bra, en aning långsamt men man är ju på semester. Read more

No tuvimos la oportunidad de disfrutar del local, porque nuestra reservacion fue transferido a otro hotel. Despues de haber conocido otra gente nos dimos cuenta que fuimos los unicos. La inconveniencia fue manejado muy mal. Nos prometieron un hotel de mayor calidad, pero en cuanto llegar nos dimos cuenta que era de peor calidad. Ibamos perdiendo una […] parte muy grande del valor que ya habiamos pagado y parecia una verguenza como nos trataron. Despues de quejar por segunda vez, el dirigente general quiso arreglar las cosas de una manera que se deberia haber hecho en primer plazo. Nos ofrecieron distintos servicios gratis hasta que se sentia comodo.
