      For the money, this can't be beat. The hotel is very nice and comfortable. The owner is a native to Santorini and is extremely helpful and accommodating. We were only there for one night and without her advise and help, would not have enjoyed our stay as much as we did. Since we were there in the winter, not everything was available and much of the island goes into hibernation. But, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. It is not a luxury hotel so don't expect room service and spa facilities. What you do get is a small, personal, comfortable accommodation from people who care about your stay and experience in Santorini.

      First, the staff was amazing. He picked us up and dropped us off at the ferry port (although this is not a garaunteed service if the hotel is busy). He also arranged a rental car for us. The hotel itself is also lovely! Great views, nice pool, and amazing two story units with front and rear balconies (we were upgraded to 2-story units for free since the hotel was not busy). The location is near the center of the island on the west edge, perfect for viewing the sunset this time of year (Sept-Oct). Easy drives north to Oia and also south to Akrotiri and the beaches.

    Location.
    Afroessa is close to Petros M. Nomikos Conference Centre, Archaeological Museum, and Museum of Prehistoric Thira. Also nearby are Wall Paintings of Thira Exhibition and Catholic Cathedral.

    Property Features.
    This romantic aparthotel offers a poolside bar. Complimentary wireless Internet access is available in public areas and an Internet point is located on site. The staff can provide tour/ticket assistance and tour assistance. Additional amenities include an outdoor pool, room service (during limited hours), and dry cleaning/laundry services. For a surcharge, guests have access to a roundtrip airport shuttle (available on request).

    We spend 4 days in Afroessa,and love it! The view of the hotel is breathtaking,the rooms are very nice greek decorated and clean,good bed to sleep in.... I would defenitly recomend this hotel to anyone. by Mark  from Usa on 05/05/13

    Afroessa was a wonderful hotel. The service was outstanding and the views were fantastic. It's in a good location. You can easily walk to some restaurants. The staff is very friendly and I would recommend this place to anyone.

Whenever we had problems with our room (and we had a few), someone was always at our door within 5 minutes to fix the problem! The hotel was beautiful and within a nice walk to eating places.     You stay at Afroessa to really be away from it all yet enjoy the best of Santorini. The hotel is away from roads so very quiet but only a short walk to the square. You can park your scooter right outside or your car only 75 meters away. The sunset view is outstanding and in general you face west with a view to Oia and the caldera.
