Very basic...but Wonderful Friendly Helpful Staff...Great Breakfast....Great Location...wifi is good...but free. Would definitely recommend!! and possible stay there again...for the money you can't beat it. The staff at the hotel was wonderful....very helpful with suggestions of places to eat, things to see and do. The hotel is just about 4 doors off from Las Ramblas, so very conveniently located. Would stay there again.

Although the rooms were furnished (on the level of a dorm room), the helpfulness of the staff and the location (1 block off La Rambla, midway between the sea and Placa Catalunya) made up for the sparseness of the furnishings. The images of the hotel online do not match the reality when you cross the threshold. The carpets are stained and dirty in the lobby and breakfast room area and the hallways are not very clean either. There is a bar across the street where the crowd is outside untill the wee hours of the morning and then the street girls are on the corner carring on. […] The lounge room does not have any access to lights so using the internet in the evening is impossible. The room itself had poor air conditioning and tired decor. Great location, but since it was SO close to Las Rambla and our room was right off the street the noise was a bit much at night. Sound proof windows would have been great. Otherwise, the breakfast selection was nice, the staff was very nice and we really enjoyed the neighborhood. A good deal overall.

The hotel staff was extremely accomodating, the best we saw in all of Spain. The location was fantastic, right in the heart of everything in Barcelona. Do request not to be on the 3rd floor of the hotel as there is a very loud air system that is constant and kept us awake.

This hotel is run down, dark, and uncomfortable. The room had a foul odor that is most likely caused from the fact that the air conditioning filter hasn't been replaced in years and the mold growing in the bathroom. We were not expecting a 5 star hotel, but we were expecting the 3 stars we paid for. I wanted to stay near Las Ramblas and the Gothic Neighborhood. I lucked out with this choice. It is no more that 20 steps from the main street in Las Ramblas and actually has a full size road in front of it (so taxis can drive right to it and you can walk to it without getting lost). I saw a number of tourist with there rolling luggage trying to find there hotels. Not pretty. I did not have that problem. Front desk was amazing. Very nice. Free breakfast was ok. The only minus was the thin walls. I did not mind hearing the busy Ramblas streets--that's what I wanted to hear. It was hearing the other guests. I actually heard one man run into his room and go to the bathroom. I don't think he realized that everyone heard. Or he did not care. Also, the hotel is very close to the port. It is a ten minute walk to the blue bus that takes you to the cruise ships. The same area is where you can get the fabulous tour buses that take you to the highlights of Barcelona. NOISY really NOISY! I had a room facing the street and may just have well have wheeled my bed onto Las Ramblas on Friday night. I'd booked a single room which was small but very clean, tho' rather hot. A shame because the hotel location is brilliant, the staff really friendly and helpful and the breakfast reasonable.

Excellent location just off La Rambla. We walked everywhere and could get to all places including Parc Guell in an hour or less. Because of the location there was a little street noise at night which could annoy some but the convenience of the location made up for that. Got the bus from the airport to Placa Catalunya and the hotel is only a ten minute […] walk from where you are dropped off. Good breakfast in the hotel and had the menu of the day meals in the cafes between 1.30 and 3.00. Good value. Didn't need much in the evenings when the meals are more expensive. Just look for a drink and some tapas in the evening but probably avoid La Rambla and just off it in Barri Gotic if looking for value. Hotel is in a brilliant central location off La Ramblas. The hotel was fairly basic, but clean with large hotel rooms, and fairly new bathrooms. We went to Barcelona for a long weekend. The staff at the hotel was wonderful. They gave us tips of restaurants and sights to see. They gave us travelinstructions and helped us in every way they could. The breakfast was good.
