"Casa Virgilios: Dec. 2012"
This B & B turned out to be a surprising find. The owner and staff were very friendly and seemed always available. It was beautifully decorated with loads of colour; enhanced by the use of traditional Mexican materials. Our room was expansive, comfortable and provided more amenities then one would expect at a B & B. The morning meal was a good mix of […] fresh local fruit, traditional Mexican fare and breakfast basic. We found the grounds to be quite inviting, with a variety of native flora. This environment along with the pool, hot-tub and pond provided the required elements to attract the many birds that frequent the area. We truly enjoyed our stay at Casa Virgilios; we would recommend it and look forward to a repeat experience. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
A beautiful change from the busy and noisy strip of hotels on the beach. Within walking distance to the beach, golf course & high end restaurants. This high end B & B is definitely worth every penny. Huge colonial rooms, cleaner than any 5 star hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Wonderful experience in Nuevo Vallarta"
From the moment we arrived to the time we left Virgilio was the perfect host. The breakfasts were excellent and changed daily. The property is landscaped beautifully and the pool is cleaned everday. They have WIFI on site as well. Virgilio kept us entertained on several occasions sharing stories and an evening beverage. He is very familiar with the […] area and provided us with some good ideas on where to eat and things to do. We would come back anytime. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Very, very nice. Much nicer than the big sterile beach hotels only a few blocks away. Highly recommended.

"What a gem of a place!!!!"

This place is awesome. Quiet little place in the heart of Nuevo Vallarta, 10 minute walk straight down the street to beach and access to buses.. Virgilio is a quiet gentleman who will help you with whatever you like. The rooms are really nice. We were in the Libra room but if you have a couple of kids i would recommend something like the Scorpio room which faces the road side, is quiet and has a nice kitchenette with a table. You can walk to La Dolce Vita restaurant 5 minutes away and if you take Vallarta Adventures (which is world class for Rhythms of the Night or a sailing trip...don't do Mariates) for only a 4 dollar taxi ride. LOVE IT!!!! Thanks Virgilios....
"Beautiful, quiet and convient."

We actually spent one night before we went south to Los a honchos, then 2 nights before we went home. Enjoyed every moment at the Casa and our time visiting with the owner Virgilio. The rooms and the shared areas gave us the best of authentic Mexico with all the comforts we're used to in the states. Cool quiet rooms, tropical flowers and plants around the garden and pool area made you feel you were in an oasis in the jungle but you can walk to reaturaunts and shops. Thanks to Virgilio and his staff for making us so welcome.
"Beautiful property! Great Breakfast!"

We had a GREAT time staying here, so glad we chose Casa Virgilios over any resort experience! We stayed in Capricorn (rm 10) Very nice room, spacious, homey, with a HUGE bathroom! Everyone here was so nice and welcoming, and the breakfast was great every morning. Walking to the beach was easy 10 min walk. (easy after 1st time getting a bit lost) and I have to HIGHLY recommend eating at Eldinamita which we found while lost..... I think there is a main sign that says 3 X restaurant, and also has a Fajita restaurant below... we never made it to that one, went back to Eldinamita since it was so good! We also did a couple things at Vallarta Adventures, this was about a 30 min easy walk from here. The landscaping and house are both just incredibly beautiful, clean and well kept. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to anyone!

If you want a quiet comfortable place to stay...authentic Mexican breakfast...and a beautiful space to enjoy the outdoors...STAY HERE! Virgilio is an awesome host. Very informative, extremely nice and willing to help at any time. We stayed in room Leo for 5 nights which ended up being the first room with satellite TV installed. The flat screen was new with USB ports so we got to catch up on a few movies we had saved on our flash drives. This room had the best location on the first floor in my opinion because the patio is semi private and you can hear the waterfall from the room; also just steps away from the pool. The kitchenette came in handy. The bathroom shower was amazing. The staff at Casa V are wonderful. Wanna wash a load of clothes...There's a jar on the counter in the kitchen for the requested 30 pesos per load. The breakfast every morning was delicious. We definitely will stay here again. Nearby there's a La Dolce Vita (one of the top restaurants in PVR), must be pretty new. Also Mediterraneo is in the same business area both within walking distance. Now if you're caught up on the details or your more in to the "all inclusive" scene, obviously this is not the place for you. I would prefer to be closer to the action in downtown PVR but Casa V is really unique and very special. Wifi was a bit sketchy at times especially in our room but it is free (included in your room rate). Our stay was wonderful and we look forward to returning.

Had a 2 day stay at the Villa. In a quiet area in Nuevo Vallarta. 10 minute walk to the beach, walkable restaurants in the area. The villa itself has large rooms comfortable beds and clean throughout. Breakfast plentiful, good selection. Garden area beautiful with pool and lounges. Virgil always on hand to give directions, very friendly. A great stay to relax and get out of the tourist area.
"Wonderful 2 week stay"

Had a very pleasant 2 weeks stay. Quiet and tranquil, beautiful garden and pool, beautiful house, wonderful decor Thanks Virgilio for making me feel at home in your home, and thanks to the housekeeping staff, Carmen and Kim, for the delicious breakfasts and taking care of me. My room was always clean and comfortable. There was a bicycle for me to use to explore Nuevo Vallarta, go to the beach and the mall. And in-house laundry service for a small fee. I highly recommend Casa Virgilios.

My husband and I stayed at Virgilios for our 10th Wedding Anniversary in February 2014, and had the most wonderful bed & breakfast/hotel stay of our lives. We were on an extended trip in Puerto Vallarta for the season, and decided to find somewhere special for our milestone- and that is exactly what we found. I called Virgilio after seeing this tripadvisor page to ask some questions, and he was very laid back and accomodating. He told us he would have a few rooms available for our particular night and we could choose what we liked when we got there. Having never been to Nuevo Vallarta it was a bit tough to understand where it was without seeing it, but we were able to bus to the main stop and take a very quick cab ride there without trouble of the driver knowing where the address was. We walked into the place and it was quiet and sweet. We were greeted by the friendly staff who let us choose our room, and lock up our stuff to head out to the beach and dinner. We chose the Leo room on the main floor with a patio sliding door to the pool area. The shower was awesome, the room was spic-and-span, the bed was soooo comfortable (I'm still dreaming about it), and the pool area is beautiful, with gorgeously kept grounds, a dock, and lots of little private areas to sit (even a palapa gazebo for the smokers). Casa Virgilio is a beautiful 20 minute walk from the main beach area, with a close by Oxxo, and a few nice restaurants about the same distance away as the beach. Nuevo is a gorgeous little town that is quiet and flat! Nice for people who like to cycle- the roads are paved nicely and the topography is the flattest around in the area. At least the area that the B&B and the beach entrance is in. After our date night we came back to a quiet place that felt like our own. We had a late swim and sat out by the dock, and had the best sleep of our LIVES. If you are used to staying in PV and listening to roosters and/or distant beach parties all night long, you have no idea how quiet it can be out there. It was so quiet that we didn't even realize that there was anyone else staying there until breakfast the next morning! Coffee was waiting for us when we woke, and Virgilio himself made us one of my favourite breakfasts of our 8 week Mexico trip. Eggplant & fried egg on a bucuit, fresh fruit, a blended smoothie, fresh squeezed juice, and coffee cake! Virgilio was friendly and full of advice when we asked for it. Just a fantastic host. Before we left we decided that it would be our Anniversary stop every year possible. The price is right, it feels like home, we wanted for nothing, and it was just perfect. Thanks Virgilio for making our milestone Anniversary one of the best nights of our lives.

"Home from home"

This is one of the best places my wife and I have ever stayed in throughout the world. From the moment we arrived, we felt at home in this superb five star bed and breakfast. The facilities were top notch and the breakfast prepared by Virgilio was delicious. We stayed for seven nights and enjoyed every moment. I cannot recommend Casa Virgilios highly enough.
"Very enjoyable stay"
04/22/14 AnnnnnG London
I stayed at this property with my twin sons and dog. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The room I was given was nearly perfect; ground floor close to the pool. The room had a fridge, microwave and sink; all very useful when travelling with babies. The bed was huge. The babies didn't need to sleep in their Pack N Play. They just slept and played on the huge bed. I was on a special diet so I was unable to eat the breakfast that was being served. It looked and smelled delicious. My little Yorkshire Terrier was able to roam around the property undisturbed. The kids really enjoyed the pool. I have 2 very small complaints: 1. There were many mosquitos in my room. I killed four. No idea how many more were in there. During the 3 nights I slept there I ended up with over 20 mosquito bites. I ended up having to sleep in long sleeves and pants to avoid being bitten. (But then they just bit my feet) Luckily my kids were not bitten at all. 2. The cleaning schedule wasn't consistent. Either the bathroom was cleaned and the bed wasn't made or vice versa. For some reasons I could not get the entire room cleaned every day. I want to point out that these are very small complaints on an otherwise enjoyable stay.
