"Perfect Stay"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 4, 2012
The Westin was perfect! Stayed in a suite with friends for a weekend away. The hotel was clean and the service was great. The location is perfect for walking and dining in the old port and totally accessible if you want to spend time downtown or further North. No complaints!

Price at the restaurant was high ei $16.00 for glass of house wine. Gym under reno and card for other facility didn't work

"Perfection in Old Montreal"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 3, 2012
We only stayed the one night at Place d'Armes hotel, on our way back to Vancouver and then home, but we wished we had more time, and will return. The hotel staff were both welcoming and efficient (not a combination one often finds), and the hotel itself was immaculate in every respect. The room was flawless in its design, the bed was soft enough to be comfortable, but not so soft as to feel like one is clambering from a bean-bag, upon rising, (as I found in so many hotels in the States!) I particularly appreciated that the designers had eschewed a bath/shower combination in the large bathroom, and installed a large, stone-clad, walk-in shower with a beautiful glass shower screen, instead. The location of the hotel was perfect for exploring Old Town Montreal by foot, which was just what we wanted to do, since we only had the one night. When we checked out, we left our luggage with Place D'Armes, mentioned when we would return for our flight and, when we did, a taxi was already awaiting us. Immaculate service.

"Great location, cozy place to stay"
This was our first time in Montreal and we found this hotel on hotels.com. It was perfect b/c it was in our budget and looked like a good location. As it turns out, it was perfect - we were able to walk everywhere, the neighborhood was safe (located near a lot of other major hotels and McGill University). We also didn't realize that the hotel was more […] like an apartment - an added bonus and very cozy - newly redecorated. Next time we're in Montreal, we'll definitely think of Le Majestic for our stay. Read more
"STAY AWAY - Even if it's free!"
I've stayed in hundreds of hotels for business and pleasure, and never did I take the time to write a review for a hotel until this one. I guess none were ever as horrid as this. Yes, the rooms are nice and clean, but what they don't tell you, is that there is a 24hr pizzaria directly beneath the hotel and they play club music 24/7 on full volume. They […] have an amazing sound system too, trying to eat, rest or sleep, you will clearly hear their noise all night, and even the vibrations from the bass. Tried complaining to the pizzaria to no avail. Tried speaking with someone at the front desk of the hotel, but unfortunately there is no front desk, and there is no one to speak to, no phone number, nothing. There is only someone downstairs waiting for you to check in if pre-booked. I addition, the rooms were freezing, the heaters barely worked, and once again, no one to speak to. Overall experience, horrible. I would not stay there again if it were free... Read more
"All Suites Majestique Downtown"
This is a great little hotel to spend a week or two. The suite I had was really a one bedroom apartment and keep in mind that you are really renting an apartment - there is no front desk, not "on duty" staff, no concierge. My apartment had a full kitchen, large living room, large bed room, a bathroom and a couple of closets. If found the furniture and […] decor to be modern, well kept and adequate for the needs of a traveler. I didn't use the kitchen as I was traveling alone with little time in my room, but looking through the cupboards, it looked like everything was there. The hotel is centrally located (within what I would consider walking distance) for access to downtown, Place des Arts, Mont Royal, McGill. It's a short cab, bike, bus, metro ride to Old Montreal and the water front. Several small but comfortable restaurants are nearby for quick meals and a grocery store is across the street. There is a metro station and a Bixi bike rack just a block away. I never felt uncomfortable in walking home in this neighborhood at all hours of the day and night. My only complaint would be that the carpet in the stairway was in need of cleaning or replacement. Read more
"All Suites Majestic"
Definitely one of the most comfortable suites I've ever stayed in. Everything from the decor, the size, and location was perfect.
"Looks like a regular apt"
Had dificulty parking had no elevator and didnt like the area much besides the fact the internet wasnt good and had no reseption
"All Suites Majestique in Montreal"
Great location: central and walking distance to downtown, cafes, shopping and Metro. Very large rooms and newly renovated kitchen with the latest appliances. Charming European style/concept. Unfortunately, there were many broken fixtures: lamps, switches, heating panels. Only one garbage in the washroom.. nothing for the kitchen. Many lights were broken […] and/or unplugged. The cable/internet modem was unplugged and took 45 minutes to reboot. Also, there is no buzzer/intercom to contact the Reception.. it took 15 minutes to find a long distance telephone number to call and ask for someone to let me in the front door. Nobody to check out with either! Instructions before hand would be beneficial. Read more
"Majestic suite"
Well, it's large, it's really like a one bedroom flat, and it's spacious, I suppose ideal for a long stay as you have a full kitchen. The flat wasn't really super clean, but it wasn't too bad either. The water pressure in the bathroom is a bit dodgy as for the hot water, and all the linen was clean, but had a weird sort of smokey smell. The sound proofing […] wasn't great either, I didn't really mind the cars on the street, but the loud music at the other side of the hotel was a bit too much. Overall it's a pretty nice place, it could be a lot better, but honestly given the price, I can't really complain. Read more

"Majestic Hotel - Parc and Sherbrooke, Montreal"
Excellent choice for those who know Montreal, need a fully contained apartment suite and easy access to transit. You essentially get a one bedroom apartment with maid service. This includes a full stove, fridge and dishwasher, all of which were new in my room. There is also a complement of dishes, cooking pots, pans, etc.. There are no other services […] one might normally associate with a hotel. There is not even a front desk. Also excellent for visitors looking for a reasonable rate and who do not want normal hotel services. Parc / Bleury and Sherbrooke can be noisy on the weekends. General traffic noise might bother some people but it was not really bad. This will be my choice for long-term stays. For those who do not know Montreal, the location is downtown where there is an unlimited selection of restaurants and cafes across the spectrum and is close to McGill. Transit access is excellent. You can walk to local attractions like Crescent Street, Saint. Denis Street, St. Laurant, Place-des-Art, etc.. Only complaints: (1) did not get made service last two days but in truth I did not need it anyway. (2) You can only connect one device to the free provided WiFi. This may not be a limitation, it might be simply a matter of asking for access for another device. It's just a hassle as I use a laptop and a smart phone and don't use digital roaming in Quebec on the phone. Read more

"Very Dissapointing"
I tried to cancel our room and go to another but they would not refund me. Tere was a $40.00 upcharge for my second child. The pullout was vinvy and I had to have bedding delivered even though they expected and charged for three, Sheets pillows but no blanket were delivered. As soon as you entered our room the smell of smoke was disgustion. The room […] was dirty, there was 2 holes in one in the wall and one in the ceiling in the entrance and left us wondering might crawl out at noght because we found mice droppings in hte kitchen, No garbage can in the bathroom. The list goes on There was no parking onsite, I hade to pay an additional $45.00 to park around the corner. When you add it all up my 2 daughters 13 and 15 and myself could have stayed in comfort and cleanless elsewhere for the same or little more. Read more
"All Suites Majestique Montreal"
We enjoyed the convenience of having a full kitchen and separate bedroom and living room. The bed was very comfortable, and the A/C kept us cool. Linens, dishes, pots, coffee maker and cutlery provided. Hair dryer, kettle and iron are not provided. You might like to bring dish detergent, coffee and tea, although it's just a 2-minute walk to a large […] grocery store. Within walking distance of great restaurants and shopping. Great views of Sherbooke and Avenue de Parc from the large windows. Read more
"A Bargain"
Great price for two newly renovated, spacious apartments - highly recommended.
"All suites majestique downtown"
Overall the appartment was ok. The main problems I had whilst staying there was that the area is a little undesirable. The kitchen facilities were adequate. Only other complaints were that the floorboards were very squeaky and that the window hinges were broken and the window actually fell onto me when I tried to open it. However, any question that […] I had the staff were very helpful and polite. Read more
"great value, location and very clean"
As stated above the hotel is very clean and offers a lovely mordern kitchen for cooking your own food and chilling out. Is in a fantastic location to see montreal on bus, foot or by car. WARNING: Parking is extreamly expensive in the area and not offered by the hotel directly. Do not leave car on the street even for 10 minutes unattended unless you […] have a spare 85 CAD to donate to the local government. Airconditioning was down in the hotel for the two days that we stayed and this apparently wasn't being fixed any time soon. This made room very hot and quite uncomfortable, opening a window is possible but traffic noise is severe. Read more
"Not a hotel but still nice"
We expected a hotel but found a converted apartment building. There was no front desk or elevator. That said it was a lovely apartment and met our needs. The kitchen was clean and held basic supplies for making meals. (pots, pans, dishes) The living room was comfortable and had cable. The bedroom was a good size and had a very comphy bed. The bathroom […] was a touch cramped and there was no water pressure. The lack of concierge service was a little unsettling but did not hamper our stay. Be advised that regular tennants still live in the building alongside guests. Read more
"All Suites Majestique Downtown in Montreal, qc"
This place was nice and clean and the price was OK, the parking was kind of difficult, hard to understand the street signs for parking or no parking. But overall it was a great place and I would stay there again.
"Almost perfect"
I would definitely come back here, every time my friends and I visit montreal and become "regulars". it is located in the heart of downtown Montreal, so everything is walking distance. The suite was very warm and comfortable compared to the larger and more pricey hotels. The price was exceptionally well; it was cost effective for the quality of the room. […] I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is planning on visiting Montreal. The only quirk to the suite was the shower head in the washroom did not have great pressure, but that was just nit-picking. Read more

"muy recomendable!"
La ubicación es muy buena, a pocos minutos del centro, en una arteria principal de la ciudad. Las habitaciones muy cómodas, bien equipadas y confortables. Geo, el chico de recepción es una persona muy amable, super dispuesta y atenta a resolver cualquier requerimiento o necesidad que uno le plantee. Realmente es muy recomendable para una apacible estadía […] en Montreal Read more
