There was not hot water to take a shower, tried to contact staff but nobody was there. Room smelled of cigarette. Parking is a big problem, there is a parking lot around the corner but the attendant leaves at 5:00 pm.

We arrived early and hoped to park and leave our bags at least, but could not get in the building and a sign said no checkin before 3, so we went away and came back much later. My mother and I stayed here for one night while attending the Just For Laughs festival. The location was great, in that we were only a few blocks from the festival itself and once we parked the car we didn't need it until we were ready to leave. The tricky part was finding the hotel! It is not very well marked and located on a very busy main street, […] so finding parking and actually tracking down the entrance were no easy feats. Once we got there, the building was charming and had clearly once been apartments in it's hayday. The room was very clean and modern - they had obviously purchased every single thing in it from IKEA. It would be a great place to spend more than one night, as it had a nice kitchen, livingroom and seperate bedroom. I had to lug my luggage up three flights - Shower has no water pressure. Hot water was not really hot. Hot water and cold water pipes were switched. Took some time for me to figure out. Flaky soap. In short, I was longing for a good shower back home at the end of my trip. - The living area had an AC with missing remote. I searched everywhere and there was no one at the reception to help with finding it. On the second day, I ended up turning off the circuit breaker for the AC as the room got too cold. Unfortunately, I was desperately trying to turn it on as the temperature was quite high. Unfortunately, without the remote I couldn’t turn the AC on. So the third night was not so comfortable even with the windows open. In summary, this is ideal for budget travelers looking for a good deal and if they can live with the cons. They need to include coffee and filters with the coffee maker. They need to fix the AC leak. The AC water leaks into the room and makes a big mess. There was no one at the front desk many times I went in and out of the hotel. I would not stay here again.

I showed up at 2:30am, and the hotels.com reservation had said "guaranteed late-night check-in". Therefore, when I showed up, the building was all locked and I could not get to the front desk. Yes, the rooms are nice and clean, but what they don't tell you, is that there is a 24hr pizzaria directly beneath the hotel and they play club music 24/7 on full volume. The suite I had was really a one bedroom apartment and keep in mind that you are really renting an apartment - there is no front desk, not "on duty" staff, no concierge. My apartment had a full kitchen, large living room, large bed room, a bathroom and a couple of closets. I didn't use the kitchen as I was traveling alone with little time in my room, but looking through the cupboards, it looked like everything was there. The hotel is centrally located (within what I would consider walking distance) for access to downtown, Place des Arts, Mont Royal, McGill. It's a short cab, bike, bus, metro ride to Old Montreal and the water front. Several small but comfortable restaurants are nearby for quick meals and a grocery store is across the street. There is a metro station and a Bixi bike rack just a block away. I never felt uncomfortable in walking home in this neighborhood at all hours of the day and night. Great appartment-style accommodations. The walls are a little thin but the rooms are gorgeous. The personnel is not present on site at all hours but they can easily be reached by phone and proved to be more than helpful when I locked myself outside of my room after hours. The fully furnished kitchen came in very handy for me as well.

The hotel was a joke. There is no reception. We were locked out of the door and there was no buzzer, nor was there an instruction notice. We finally got in when some other guests were coming out. Booked this hotel for a 4day trip to Montreal. The location is really good, with a Subway station about 5 Minutes away and a supermarket across the street. The hotel is actually an appartment hotel with several flats to rent in an old building with an old wooden spiral staircase (first minus is the missing elevator, though landlord helped carry the […] baggage upstairs after check in). The room I stayed in was a 2 room appartment very modern estblished. The kitchen was comfortable with a dishwasher, a microwave, a stove and a realy big fridge. There were some dishes but unfortunately no dish soap to wash them. Though they changed the towels erveryday they never cleaned the floor (even when I checked in there were some hair and stuff of the previous guest). Good was that there was free WiFi (though only one could log in at the same time, so there was either PC or Smartphone) and that local calls were free of charge. Maybe I would book it again because it was really good located and the cheapest I found but this time I would tell them to clean the room every day or else give me a broom to do it myself. Read more

Great location: central and walking distance to downtown, cafes, shopping and Metro. Very large rooms and newly renovated kitchen with the latest appliances. Charming European style/concept. Unfortunately, there were many broken fixtures: lamps, switches, heating panels. Only one garbage in the washroom.. nothing for the kitchen. Many lights were broken […] and/or unplugged. The cable/internet modem was unplugged and took 45 minutes to reboot. Also, there is no buzzer/intercom to contact the Reception.. it took 15 minutes to find a long distance telephone number to call and ask for someone to let me in the front door. Well, it's large, it's really like a one bedroom flat, and it's spacious, I suppose ideal for a long stay as you have a full kitchen. The flat wasn't really super clean, but it wasn't too bad either. The water pressure in the bathroom is a bit dodgy as for the hot water, and all the linen was clean, but had a weird sort of smokey smell. Excellent choice for those who know Montreal, need a fully contained apartment suite and easy access to transit. You essentially get a one bedroom apartment with maid service. This includes a full stove, fridge and dishwasher, all of which were new in my room. There is also a complement of dishes, cooking pots, pans, etc.. There are no other services […] one might normally associate with a hotel. There is not even a front desk. Also excellent for visitors looking for a reasonable rate and who do not want normal hotel services. Parc / Bleury and Sherbrooke can be noisy on the weekends. General traffic noise might bother some people but it was not really bad. This will be my choice for long-term stays. For those who do not know Montreal, the location is downtown where there is an unlimited selection of restaurants and cafes across the spectrum and is close to McGill. Transit access is excellent. You can walk to local attractions like Crescent Street, Saint. Denis Street, St. Laurant, Place-des-Art, etc.. Only complaints: (1) did not get made service last two days but in truth I did not need it anyway. (2) You can only connect one device to the free provided WiFi. This may not be a limitation, it might be simply a matter of asking for access for another device. It's just a hassle as I use a laptop and a smart phone and don't use digital roaming in Quebec on the phone. Read more

I tried to cancel our room and go to another but they would not refund me. Tere was a $40.00 upcharge for my second child. The pullout was vinvy and I had to have bedding delivered even though they expected and charged for three, Sheets pillows but no blanket were delivered. As soon as you entered our room the smell of smoke was disgustion. The room […] was dirty, there was 2 holes in one in the wall and one in the ceiling in the entrance and left us wondering might crawl out at noght because we found mice droppings in hte kitchen, No garbage can in the bathroom. The list goes on There was no parking onsite, I hade to pay an additional $45.00 to park around the corner. When you add it all up my 2 daughters 13 and 15 and myself could have stayed in comfort and cleanless elsewhere for the same or little more. Read more
