"Good location"
Don't be fooled by "breakfast included" by breakfast they mean a cup of coffee and a piece of coffee cake. Oh, and "Mountain view" means neighbors roof tops.. Other than that, great location.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Quiet and Relaxing"
This was a great quiet place to relax by the pool and walk around the downtown Palm Springs area. There are close by restaurants and bars that have great food for breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner. The hotel is quite new and has a nice decor. Would absolutely stay here again. The only reason I gave the comfort of the room 4 stars is cause I can't stand down […] pillows! "Wonderful weekend getaway with no kids!!"
It was a peaceful, relaxing place to get away from the busyness of life!! It was quaint and peaceful. We loved it!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"approaching perfection"
Very enjoyable! The hotel provides a great blend of old meets new. Only a few nitpicks (not enough counter space in the bathroom, AC a little noisy) but will definitely plan to stay at Alcazar again! Proximity to Cheekys and Birba a big plus.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great New Spot"
Great place. Perfectly located. Easy walk to stores, restaurants. And you have your own bar/restaurant and brunch spot right outside the door.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Alcazar was a great hotel"
We had a wonderful stay at the Alcazar. We were in town for a wedding and so had a lot of friends staying there as well as other hotels in the area. Our pool area was very nice, with lots of lounge chairs, umbrellas and many other areas to sit outside. We had a poolside King Deluxe room and it was larger than some of our friends who paid a bit more […] money for a suite, so keep that in mind. Although the shower stall was very small the room was spacious with a sofa and a Jacuzzi tub in the corner. The two restaurants on the property are wonderful, especially Cheeky's for breakfast and lunch. It is quite literally the best my husband and I had. We ordered it to go and ate at the tables near the pool every morning. Just delicious. Birba was also great. Pizzas were the best. I highly recommend this place for the price. "Great experience"
We had the best time here! The staff was very friendly, the rooms are gorgeous, and the place is beautiful! The pastries and coffee in the morning were icing on the cake. Also, the restaurants attached to the hotel, specifically Birba, had amazing food and cocktails. We will definitely be staying here the next time we're in Palm Springs.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Make sure you read this !!!"
Due to over-booking we were transfered to "the Movie Colony "Hotel in Palm Springs,Ca.This proved to be a complete disaster. The Hotel is only 16 rooms and completely locks down a 7pm each night,no night personel or any way to access the property. On Friday 4/28/12 we had to drive back to Riverside from Stagecoach because of this and the fact that the […] hotel phone goes to an answering machine. We did stay there finally on Saturday 7/28/12,how-ever this turned out to be an "Adults Only"facility, which they did not diverge in any of our conversations. And appears to cater to a certain type of clientel, certainly not family in nature.Extremely unsatisfied experience, never to be repeated. "a great vacation place"
loved every minute of it! Clean, everything worked . Close to palm springs shops/dinning, we walked pretty much everwhere we went except the Palm Springs Tramway.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Love this place. Very pleasant, nice location, great value.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Me and my husband went to celebrate our anniversary for a few days. We loved this hotel when it was under another owner, and we love it now as well. Its very beautiful and the pool area is very peaceful. The breakfast was, however, too minimum. Just coffee and a muffin. No juice, fruit....nothing else. But other than that........great!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great stay!"
I would recommend this hotel. Great location near town. Very clean and roomy with wood floors and flat screen TV. Lovely pool area. Lush landscaping with that Spanish feel. Our room had a separate bathroom with a jacuzzi tub. The other side of the room had a very large shower with the sink and toilet. Will definitely stay here again!Genuine Expedia guest review

"Great remodeled Hotel with Shabby Chic Feel!"
Great hotel. Some noise outside window with a busy street but I did not mind it very much and only really heard it once you opened the windows. Otherwise an amazing experience and will definitely be back. Restaurants attached to hotel are great and I would check them out for an amazing meal.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Loved this place."
We loved this hotel, it's clean and pretty. The landscaping is lovely, it's mostly quiet, everything is new. The waterfall screens, white lights, and fire area is very nice. Linens are nice and it's a quick walk to downtown shops and restaurants. "Breakfast" only consists of one or two types of pastries and coffee. Smoking is allowed in the common areas […] which we did not like at all. It wasn't nice to sit out by the pool and smell smoke nor see the ashes and cigarette butts in the walkways. We could hear talking in the room next to us. Overall, we really liked it and will stay there again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Lovely small hotel"
When we arrived, we found that Hotels.com had not contacted the hotel with our information. We were asked by Alberto to find a number to contact them. We found the number, Alberto spoke to a representative and they faxed the needed information. Not a big deal, but made us a bit nervous. We were told to always confirm with the hotel directly, probably […] a very good idea. Our room was, as requested, king, near pool. It was small but perfectly fine for our needs with a good sized bathroom and nice amenities. After driving from the bay area, we didn't feel like getting back into the car and there was a nice little restaurant next door. Comfortable bed with sparkling white linens. Great coffee and pastry in the morning! Really enjoyed our stay. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"The Alcazar - comfort, beauty and location"
In a word, we loved the hotel. The courtyard and hotel grounds were beautiful and much attentionwas given to design and comfort. The pool was fun, and Birba (the patio restaurant) was jsut right. Our only complaints were that the porch light shone in the room even with the louvres closed, making sleep a little difficult at first,a nd the hotel walls […] were quite thin, so we could hear the TV adn conversation in theneighboring room. The location is absolutely perfect, friendly and convenient neighborhood. Staff very professional and friendly as well. We would return and also recommend to others. "Noisy Locale"
If you are looking for something quiet and peaceful this is not it. The location was great for the downtown amenities, but this hotel is between 2 very busy streets so you always hear road noise. The remodel is lovely, but the hotel is old and poorly insulated so you could hear people in adjoining rooms. We had to change rooms after the first night […] because our suite was right next to a very busy restaurant that was open until late. One morning someone was running a pressure washer at 7:30 right outside our courtyard. The staff was very kind, but our next visit to Palm Springs will find us staying somewhere else. "A Great Place To Hang Your Hat In Palm Springs!"
Awesome experience! Everyone of the staff was friendly and helpful! Close to downtown ... excellent pool, hot tub and outdoor ambiance ... use of bicycles on site to tour the town. My wife and I both enjoyed our experience here!Genuine Expedia guest review

lovely place where a great deal of thought was given to details and it pays off. Pool, grounds and easy parking are a real plus, as are the two restaurants next door. Particularly liked that my Siberian Husky had his own private patio where I could leave him to relax, sleep and avoid the sun (Siberian, no?). Only minor criticism: it gets cold at night […] and the spotless bathroom could use a heater of some sort. Help were very helpful and kind. Have already told many of my friends. BRAVO to the management and staff. I would happily stay there again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Thin Walls"
Everything about this place was great. A lot of attention to making it cute. Walking location to everything in town. The only problem was that the walls seemed quite thin and I think that was because it is an old building that was updated. One night our neighbors came in about 3:30. While talking in normal tones they woke us both up. Their voices and […] quite loud coming through the wall. The next night we were treated to what I thought was a puppy whimpering, but my GF insisted it was our new neighbors having sex. Not as annoying as the voices the night before, but I think a newer hotel would have better sound proofing. But really, she sounded like a puppy. All in all I think it was a charming place. Everyone was very nice and you get coffee and danish in the morning. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Walls are Too Thin."
Great location, staff was very professional and rooms very clean however the experience was very disappointing because the walls are so thin that I could hear the person in the next room snoring all night. Not a good place if noise keeps you awake.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Romantic haven!"
The grounds are beautifully designed as are the rooms. Elegant, spacious rooms with fireplaces; very comfortable beds & linens. Convenient to great restaurants less than a block away. A private oasis, romantic and beautiful!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Perfect for relaxing."
A real find. Centrally located, but a block off the main shopping street so it was quiet. The Spanish hacienda-like layout is perfect for the location. The hotel is designed, down to the smallest detail, to help you relax. Very fair prices for the rooms. The young woman receptionist was delightful. The older gentleman at night was a bit of a grump-- […] the only negative about this hotel. I will be back in Palm Springs in the coming months and will book to stay here again. "The Palm Springs Hotel"
Very attentive management. Was staying with daughter to relax and recuperate after a back injury. Only concern was with the construction being done on property. With the many different workers walking around, left me feeling a little on guard, unable to completely relax. But beautiful hotel, the price was very reasonable.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"A desert gem"
This place is truly a "must stay"and totally relaxing. Perfect location in the middle of everything that is downtown Palm Springs. If you like a small, quiet hotel with character this is it! It is a small property that makes the visit more personal and has a courtyard pool that is private and inviting. The hotel has no restaurant, but delicious pasteries […] and coffee are offered each morning in the lobby. A cafe is right next door and very convenient for breakfast and lunch. Rooms are lovely...ask for #37 that has an interesting history. Some rooms are still being redecorated, but you won't be disappointed regardless. They are sparse in decor, but it fits our style. You'll want to check out the site photos before you book...they are accurate. The hotel managment does everything to please and has tons of great new ideas to bring to the newly operated site that will please guests. Robert, Alberto and all the staff are wonderful, very personable and go out of their way to make guest comfortable and help in any way they can. A stroll down the main street offfers all sorts of cafes and bistros, lots of outside dining, and cool shops. The people in the town are off the charts as far as friendly and making you feel at home right away. This was our first time in the desert and we can't wait to go back. We've even decided to house hunt and while there we'll return to the Alcazar Palm Springs where the service is personal. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
The walls were thin and we could hear everything in the neighboring rooms. The heaters and plumbing were extremely noisy - not just in our room, but in the rooms of those neighbors when they used them. Also, the rooms all all white. ALL WHITE. That might be your thing - I don't know...but it's stark. In my opinion it wasn't comforting.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very cute"
The queen size room next to the pool side was basic and cute. A small WHITE room with a tv, closet, and bathroom. The only thing uncomfortable where the pillows for me. Overall I would recommend .Genuine Expedia guest review
""THE MOST ROMANTIC EXPERIENCE EVER""
Wow, how do I rate what we saw and felt. We were celebrating our 1 yr anniversary. The place was magical in the sense that we dont get out much to hotels etc., we are always on a budget and with that said it was nice to experience such luxury yet with such simplicity as what one would expect from the highest priced resort. It was exactly what we were […] hoping for. Cleanliness, simple yet super quant and elegant. The white walls covered with ivy was beautiful. We had read how the hotel was renovated during the summer, have no idea what it looked like before or how it was managed but we were extremely happy and have already referenced it to a few couples that we know. We hope that it'll remain our diamond in the desert and that you continue to consider us folks who want the best things in life at a reasonable price without affecting quality. I also want to thank the cleaning staff for their attention to detail and the warmth they bring to their services. I also love the key entry, it brings classic goodness back on the market and I hope that never changes. The location is ideal, we didnt use the car all weekend, we walked to the shops and restaurants, plus the art festival is literally across the street. We couldnt ask for more. Both Cheeky's and Birba were wonderful eateries and the atmosphere was devine. I truly can't wait to go back next year for our 2yr anniversary. =D Thank You Alcazar for our perfect weekend getaway, WE WILL be seeing you again! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

We stayed at the Alcazar Palm Springs hotel and had a fabulous time. The hotel is a block off downtown Palm Springs near Cheeky's a great place for breakfast. The hotel room was surprisingly large. The rooms was located near the pool which was heated (a nice surprise). The staff was very friendly. Overall, a great place to stay in Palm Springs.Genuine Expedia guest review
