"Located in City Center"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 1, 2012
The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the room was clean and comfortable. The only drawback was that it was not a quick walk to/from the train station (30 minutes and hilly). However, there was taxi service readily available and the hotel arranges for that if requested (Approximately $8 for one-way).

Hotel Barton was an excellent value for the price. Breakfasts were great!
"Tyndale Guest House, Torquay - great place to stay"Reviewed by Susan L. of "Santa Barbara, CA" on Apr 9, 2012
The Tyndale Guest is a lovely B&B in a convenient and safe neighborhood of Torquay. It has just been redecorated and our room was comfortable and very clean. The Full English Breakfast was wonderful. Daniel and Andy, the owners, were extremely friendly and gave us great ideas of places to see. If you have time definitely take the ferry ride to Dartmouth. The town is adorable and there is a castle to explore. We are fans of pub food so we ate in a Wetherspoons pub in Torquay. The food is good and the prices are reasonable.
"Traveling with my 12 yr old Daughter through UK"Reviewed by Dean Wi of "Boulder, CO" on Mar 31, 2012
We've stayed in several different places in England this spring. The Torcroft Hotel has been the most welcoming and comfortable experience. The owners and staff made us welcomed as we arrived and the room has all we Americans need for a relaxing weekend. I highly recommend.
"Loved it!"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Mar 29, 2012
We only had one night at the Burleigh House, but it was great. Very comfortable rooms, a good breakfast, and close to downtown. The car park was a little difficult for a large vehicle (there were 6 of us on this trip), but we managed. At least it was available! Towels were thick, the whole house was extremely clean, and the proprietors were friendly and welcoming. A wonderful stay!

The Riviera comprises three main towns: Torquay is the most fashionable and popular with a luxury marina, good beaches, and family attractions including a famous Model Village and the Kent’s Cavern. Paignton is a more traditional English resort, boasting a superb zoo. Brixham is not only a picturesque fishing harbour but one of Britain's busiest fishing ports. The adjacent area, the South Hams, is known as one of the prettiest in England.
