Guildhall Tavern - Hotel - Denbigh

Quirky room very quirky - with bed, bath and loo all open plan .Biggest drawback was no desk to work from - essential when working away .Food good. Not much car parking - I was lucky. Would consider again - but would choose my romm carefully.

When i arrived at this hotel, I was pleasantly suprized, although it was a tad hard to spot and parking spaces were in short supply. Had a great stay at the Guildahall (previously The Bull). The staff were brilliant on arrival, took bags to room, very helpul with booking taxi's. We stayed in the The Myddleton room, which is a good sized & very comfortable room. If I have a criticism it is only that it faces the front of the hotel and does get all the noise of the square, cars screeching, […] people shouting etc until early hours because of the chinese takeaway next door. Perhaps the owners need to consider double glazing in that room. Breakfast was tasty and more than enough to set you up for the day. Staff very helpful & chatty. Other than breakfast we didn't eat at the hotel but the menu looked fabulous with not too much on it which means to me that everything is freshly prepared! Denbigh Castle is just a short walk up the side lane, you do need walking boots! A great stay and I would stay there again. Read more
