I was very impressed with my room. It was a single on the top floor, but extremely comfortable, extremely clean, and quite roomy actually. I had everything I could have wanted or needed, and my only wish was that I had planned for another night or two in Bath. The breakfast was just as good. I would recommend Oldfields to anyone visiting Bath. My only suggestion is that anyone coming from the train station with luggage, might want to take a cab, because the walk to Oldfields is uphill, though not too far.

Very clean and modern room. Everyone who worked there was super nice. Convenient to have pub next door. Breakfasts were great, continental and made to order main dishes. A pub with good food and board games a few minute car drive away. Only down side is it's right off the freeway so you can hear cars outside and is hard to find (although innkeepers were very helpful directing us to the hotel -- we called a few times for directions and had no gps)

Five minutes walk from the train station. Ten minutes walk to the best sites in town. Desk staff were amazing. Breakfast ambiance was fantastic. Breakfast selection was okay.

"Uncomfy bed, little sleep & noisy"
My husband and I stayed at the White Hart Inn for 3 nights over Christmas. Having slept on my mothers living room floor every Christmas for the last few years we thought we would treat ourselves to a hotel room for a bit of comfort & some sleep but after the stay we had I think we would have been better off on my mothers floor! The room was small but […] adequate but overlooked the main road. There was a lot of noise from people walking by and from the traffic. Traffic noise started at about 4.30am and with single glazed windows the noise made it very hard to sleep. The very thin curtain also let in a lot of light. The bed was very uncomfortable - the mattress was hard, the duvet was very thin and each pillowcase had 2 very thin pillows inside which meant that they weren't particularly comfortable. The shower in the ensuite was extremely small, triangular in shape. The water temperature & pressure was constantly changing and when it did you had nowhere to move to due to the small size of the shower. Anyone with a larger build would struggle to fit into it! The restaurant was closed on Christmas Day & Boxing Day so we didn't get breakfast for 2 days of our stay but on our final morning we had a full English breakfast which was tasty and cooked well. Sadly I cannot recommend The White Hart Inn due to the lack of comfort of the room & the lack of sleep we got but the breakfast was good & the staff were friendly & pleasant when we saw them. "Very old English Inn"

"Bed and breakfast without the breakfast"
A lovely old building, now a bit down at heel. I stayed two nights. I was told breakfast would be served from 7.30am. On the first morning, myself and several other guests were waiting for the restaurant to open at 7.30. It didn't. There were no staff anywhere to be seen. "The White Hart - Calne"
It is a lovely old coach house with a lot of character. Our first room was very big and the beds were comfortable, although we had requested double room and found it was a family room. The room was at the front and I was woken at 4.15 with the start of the traffic, big lorries etc. on the friday morning. Although my partner slept without a problem. […] The other problem was the radiator did not work and it was cold. The next morning they changed our room without a problem, which was far warmer as the radiator worked and quieter as further back. The food was very good and reasonably priced. The hotel has just been taken over by new owners, as the old owners appear to have ransacked the hotel and taken a lot of things with them and damaged other things, this is causing a few problems such as radiators not working properly, but they are doing their best to ensure that the people staying are comfortable. Once they have more staff and have rectified the faults caused by the previous owners this will be a very charming place to stay. We enjoyed our stay and the staff were very friendly. Etant donné le nombre d'hotel dans la région, il était difficile de faire un autre choix. Il faut aussi savoir que l'hotel fait Pub et boite de nuit, alors si vous voulez dormir de bonne heure il faut prévoir d'aller ailleurs. Hotellet var under al kritik. Da vi ankom var der ingen håndtag i døren så vi måtte klappe med brevsprækken for at få døren åbnet. Det syn der mødte os var en stank af øl, der stod stadigvæk øl glas med sjatter i på baren. Der var meget snavset i det de kaldte spisesalen, og værelserne var meget mørke, kun et vindue hvor der var hængt et stykke stof […] op foran. Tæppet var snavset. Det andet værelse lå omme i gården hvor folk stod og røg hvilket betød at værelset stank af røg. Vi nægtede at bo der, og da må jeg sige at den unge pige der stod for de fik 10 stjerner.
