Great view
Everything is perfect except for the small bathroom with some unpleasant odor in the washroom.

Perfect
Absolutely loved our experience here. We spent time in several different hotels, moving from Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka and Toba, and we all agreed that the Toba international was by far the best. Pricing was excellent, rooms for comfortable with gorgeous views, hotel staff were very kind to us. We want to come back next year!

A place in Japan all need to visit
the hotel was excellent and the staff goes out of their was to make a guest feel like they are royalty. The royal family of Japan has stayed here. The view of Toba bay at sunrise is breathtaking, The onsen is special were you soak in the essence from pearls. Mikimoto pearl company is just down the road. The grand shrine of Ise are close one can step into and be immersed in the essence of Japanese culture. I strongly endorse this hotel if you want service in the countryside.

The staff at the Toba Kokusai are wonderful, warm, and thoughtful. Our well-appointed bedroom had a lovely harbor view, and we happily took advantage of the attached Ryokan's ofuro bath. The bathroom was not so great, but there is a Japanese bath on the complex. Within the halls of this sprawling set of buildings perched on a hill are framed photos of Japanese and English royally visiting the hotel, seemingly in the 1960s or 1970s. I can imagine it was impossibly chic then, although the halls are a little tired now. There aren't many choices for hotels when visiting the Ise Shrine, and so this spot is recommended. It would be potentially difficult for a first-time visitor to Japan, as a working knowledge of Japanese helped us use the train, ask for other restaurant options, and change some of our plans. The restaurants onsite were fussy and overpriced, although the breakfast was beautiful and worth trying once. The staff recommended a great izakaya at the bottom of the hill, where we ate grilled aji fish among locals at this family restaurant. Traveling to see the shrines at Ise is already off the beaten path of typical itineraries, so staying at the Toba could be attractive to people who want to be where the Japanese stay.

Kick back & relax
I went there to solo getaway from the hustle & bustle.... The hotel was amazing to just kick back and enjoy the view of the ocean. The Japanese restaurant at the hotel was the best Japanese food I have ever tasted. Probably the best food I've eaten period and I've been all over the world, so that says a lot.
