Embassy Hotel Service Apartment Nathan Road - Kowloon

I had low expectations of this room, as it was a full quarter the price of any surrounding hotel room, but I was in NO WAY ready for the horror that awaited behind the door. If there is a such thing as a Kidney Harvest Waiting Room, this is certainly it. The room was possibly 6x8 foot with two beds that could only generously be called "single" beds. […] If you're under 5'6" then you might fit on the bed, should you choose to lie down on it. You'll be happy to discover that the shower (3x3) also contains a sink and a toilet... it's the cutest little "all-in-one" I've ever seen. The TV didn't work, there were no linens, no "complimentary water", and the "towels" provided were hand-towel sized. Did I mention that the room was smartly decorated with broken plaster, and giant pictures of babies' faces? I've been in nicer prison cells. Terrible. Doesn't even deserve one star. Blanket not big enough to keep warm. No soap. No toilet paper. No towel. Woman at the desk spoke not a word of English and became frustrated and hostile when I tried to communicate with her. In fairness the unit was clean and the flat TV screen worked. The location was OK too.

It was disappointing and the worst thing is customer service. The staff doesn't speak any English or even Mandarin Chinese. These people are so cheap to the point they won't replace a defective room key.

It is right next to Jordan station. However, the rooms are tiny, and only offer 2 small beds instead of one big one (they cant be pushed together). The "theme" is really just a wallpaper on the wall. The people spoke no English at all but were nice enough. It is good if you just want a clean, convenient place to sleep, nothing else.

You get what you pay for, which served my purpose. Was hardly gonna be in the room; just needed a place to sleep and shower. Bed was a queen-sized bed which touched both sides of the wall. That's how small the room was but it had a tv and it was air conditioned. Bathroom was clean. The hotel room was across the street from where the actual check in […] was. Noone was at the place of check until it was 2pm (check-in time). The lady spoke zero english but was very nice. She checked me in, took $100 HK for key deposit, walked me across the street where my room was then started to set up my room (putting the sheets on, sweeping the floor). I was suprised the room wasn't already ready for me. I had to ask for a towel. The 3 nights I stayed there I never saw another hotel worker and "checked out" by just leaving the key on my bed and leaving the $100 HKdeposit behind since there wasn't anyone there, plus I didn't want to have to walk across the street at 8am at the check-in office since I figured noone was going to be there until 2pm for check in time. I guess I just left her a big tip that I didn't want to leave. Location was very good; right in front of Jordan MTR stop and right on Nathan Road. When we arrived to the Embassy Service Apartment Hotel around10pm we could not believe our eyes . We started getting suspicious when we were looking for the Hotel on Nathan street and then being in the elevator. Our suspicion greatly increased when we were checking in. It was a dreadful looking establishment. Nothing shocked us more than seeing the […] "apartment". We thought it is a joke. The bedroom was horrible, the walls were filthy, the beds looked like prison benches, the bathroom were like you do not want to go in. The only positive I can mention are the price and the location. However, what is cheap does not have to be disgusting. The moment we saw our apartment, the "American Apartment", we realized we cant stay in this place even 1 more minute. We went to look for another hotel. What was not easy but luckily we found a great place the Sunflower Hotel on Nathan road a few hundred yards down. We were rather loose our money and flee. For the price, this room represented tremendous value for being in the center of Hong Kong. Unlike the ad, it does not offered wired internet. It does offer wireless, but I wasn't always able to access it. The room is minuscule, but I felt safe and slept well.

This hotel is tiny. The room is barely big enough for the 2 twin beds, and the bathroom barely bigger enough for the toilet and sink (with a shower wand too). That said, it was well worth it: A/C worked well, water was hot, and the location is excellent: 2 minutes from MTR, easy to airport express, 20 minute walk to Star Ferry.

ts really a guest-house and not a hotel unlike the name indicates. I will say this upfront. The rooms across the street from the embassy hotel's front desk are much cleaner than the ones contained in their little front-desk office. The bedding sucked, but the air-conditioner worked well. The bath room was clean enough, but the hot water goes fast if […] you like hot showers. Remember to flip the hot water switch first or you will just have cold water. I suggest you just take warm showers so it can last for two people. Nobody there can speak english, and its normally just one person working. Also they don't have towels, so bring your own. I don't think I will be staying there again. In that building there are many guest-house business's and I would like to inspect more of them. I think I can find a place that tries harder for the same price. I can say that if everyone else is booked up, especially during the trade fairs, you can just rent embassy and come prepared. The hotel room is very very small. The location is perfect. It is situated on top of MTR Jordan station and in front of Nathan Road. Man's night market is 5minite away. There are many local restaurants around the hotel.

OK, it's not for everyone since the room is small. But it has its own bathroom and it's clean. The location is only a minute away from MTR and lots of food at night at the near night market. They also provide you with fresh towel every couple of days and they give you free Wi-Fi. Would come here again.

A couple of the nights there was an old man, who was fine but didn't speak English also and wasn't as sweet as the old woman. Overall I think they have everything you need here, bare minimum, no frills, and its dead cheap, so if you want a bargain and easy access to all of HK then staying here is just fine. ps. Stayed 9 nights. Best location in Hong Kong. Bus stops, MTR station, food stores and markets are just steps away from the hotel. The hotel consists of several rooms and located on the 3rd floor of a big building. Clean and convenient if you don't mind the smallest hotel room ever seen. Everything was in good order. Shower is excellent! Wireless Internet […] was OK though we experienced a breakdown twice. But it was fixed soon. A cooler with hot & cold drinking water is available 24 hours. Adapters are also available at the front desk but we didn't use because we have our own adapter. They take a key deposit - 100 HK $ and return at check-out. 1 towel per person per 2 days. But they never change it until you come and ask. The bedding was never changed as well. Nobody cleaned the room. We removed trash by ourselves. Trash bins are near the elevator on the 3rd floor. Hotel location is great. It is just a few steps away from the corner of Nathan and Jordan roads. If you do not mind a small room, this is a good stay. The room was clean and comfortable. The water pressure was more than adequate for a good shower.

It is next to the subway station and the airport bus stop. It is on the 3rd floor of an apartment building and seems like the security is pretty good. The room is very tiny but clean. When I returned at 5pm 3 days later other guests had to let me into the hotel as nobody was on reception. The rooms are very very small. Me and my case cound hardly fit in the room. Stayed there for 3 nights. tho its very close to Jordan mtr , that was the ONLY good thing abt this apartment ( more like a hostel with aircon). Bathroom drainage has a problem, and always ended up flooded. No floor towel provided, so floor is always wet. Tv has no reception, and even when it has, it's always flickering. The auntie is always grumbling, […] doesn't help the small reception counter where she stations is right outside my room, and I can hear her grumbling loudly at night (on the phone). LCD TV could not work, there was NO daily housekeeping offered.
