This was great place to stay, no screaming sring breakers. This is an adult oriented all inclusive hotel. The food was excenllent, you have to try the rotisserie chicken on the beach!

Na Balam got some underserved poor scores. The location happened to be the best location on the island (as far as beaches go), and fairly convenient to excitement of down town. The grounds were spectacular, and for such a reasonable price. Front desk and beach bar staff were not amazing, but not bad either. They could do some training on customer service in order to make it a more magical experience, but all in all, it was acceptable service.

Also known as El Centro, Cancun Downtown is where locals live and shop. Plaza las Americas is an American-style shopping center with large department stores and small specialty shops. Mercado Veintiocho (Market 28), an open-air flea market, is an alternative to the chain shops. Tourists often venture into area supermarkets for souvenirs and liquor. Plaza de Toros features weekly bullfighting.
see all hotels in CancunVERY noisey on Saturday night, had a community party in courtyard. No blankets on bed, Wi-Fi did not work in room.
"Hotel Xbalamque-Cancun"
Great location and great, pleasant service . Nice pool and four restaurants and 3 bars to choose from. Quiet at night after midnight (local nightclub). Hard beds, not much closet space, older hotel. Elevator was out of service and it didn't look like there would be any service for a while ( The sign was tattered). Plenty of area restaurants up the street […] and within 4 blocks of the main bus station (ADO). Easy access to the buses for the Hotel Zone and beaches. (75 cents for the bus). Close to the Mercado 28 (local artisan market). On-site tour service with friendly staff and good discounts. On-site massage sevice near the pool. Read more
"Xblamque - unique decor"
I enjoyed the theme of being inside an ancient Mayan temple. The details everywhere, including the hallways imitating the tunnels of a temple, were interesting. Restaurants were within an easy walk, as well as internet/phone centers about three blocks away. Elevator wasn't working, and calls couldn't be made, no remote for the TV, but a/c worked great. "not bad for the money"
if you want to stay in centro Cancun, this is a good hotel. the Ave it's on is good, safe and lots of food, entertainment. I liked the pool but it's a little small, but clean. I didn't care for the screaming kids using it at the time but that's life. the staff were fine but they gave me the wrong password for the internet and finally I tried the password […] for a different floor and that worked. this is a good alternative to the hotel zone. and a much better price. "Hotel Xbalamque"
The room was not bad on itself. However, even thoug it was clean enough, it smelled like sewage! I had to keep the toilet's door closed at all times not to have that horrendous smell. People were very friendly and helpful though. The location is amazing, just in the city centre, very convenient if u need to go to the coach station.
"Right downtown, but beside a night club."
A nice hotel (lovely pool area). Rooms weren't fancy but were clean. Excellent location for downtown Cancun. But . . . beside a nightclub, whose music got REALLY loud at about 1 a.m.

Hotel bem fraco, limpeza ruim, com baratas no quarto e um cheiro terrível, não recomento.
"Buenisimo hotel en una zona buena"
Este hotel esta en una buena zona de Cancun con muchos restaurantes alrededor. Tenia un televisor flat panel y el cuarto era muy limpio. El unico inconveniente era un aire acondicionado ruidoso.
