I recently visited with a group of 4, 2 couples. We stayed in the upstairs loft, the "family suite". It was only for one night and it was very nice. The only problem was that it had 1 doube and 2 twin beds. So 1 couple had to sleep separately. On an extremely positive note, the next morning when we woke up for breakfast, our rental car had a flat tire and they did everything they could to assist us (On a Sunday to boot) to find a place to fix our flat. They allowed us to stay until almost lunch, use their phone, and they even chatted with us while we waited. They were extremely hospitable and I would recommend staying here to anyone. Make sure you google maps the exact location and get directions to the exact place, because Hotels.com has the address wrong and a GPS will send you to Beverley, and really its just outside of Shiptonthorpe. All in all, a 4.5 out of 5, a fantastic countryside farmette B&B.

I couldnt fault this hotel in any way, The room was warm and very comfortable and the internet service was very quick and free. The shower was strong... and warm and the bed very comfortable. The Food in the restaurant was superb as was the morning breakfast that served from 6.30am. Overall, a very nice place to stay. A+++ by Robbie from Notts on 03/29/13

Excelllent friendly staff - very helpful indeed. Lovely touch in bad weather - the reception desk advertised and supplied free of charge ice scrapers and windscreen de-icer. The room I stayed in was very comfortably furnished with a lovely four poster bed and in the bathroom, a jacuzzi bath. Two small downsides - my room was on the ground floor, and […] there was nosie from guests going up and down the adjacent stairs. The other small problem was very large roll type pillows on the bed, which I found difficult to get into a comfortable sleeping position - however they were very quickly exchanged for flatter ones by a most helpful manager when I mentioned it to him. After missing a flight home after an offshore job, I had to stay one night at this hotel to catch the flight next morning. Arriving in Immingham at the docks surrounded by factories, oil tanks and a dirty shipyard, I didnt exepct much, but I have to say that this hotel was a huge positive surprise. I would definitely recommend to friends as friendly and comfortable.If I had one comment I stayed in the main building and there was a slight smell on dampness in the corridor and rooms bathroom, could have been insufficient fans extracts as bathroom had no window. Having said this I would not hestitate to stay again soon.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful and the evening meal was better than expected. The room was OK, though rather small and with a strange light-switching arrangement. The breakfast was, however, one of the worst we've had - we weurryire first into the dining room but the scrambled eggs and bacon were almost inedible and not freshly cooked. Used for business trip and pleased with location, and value in a clean modern hotel. Arrived late, (planned), reception offering sandwiches if I was hungry. Nice touch. Good room and facilities, practical desk and wi-fi included what more do you want, followed by freshly cooked breakfast. Will certainly use again.
