"Lovely Hotel and Wonderful Staff."

We stayed here for one week, end of September - start of October 2013. It was wonderful. Everyone was so friendly and helpful, the rooms were cleaned daily and the breakfast was everything you could ask for. Location was great, the airport - not a problem. Taverna food was as good as anywhere in Pythagorion and easy access to a lovely beach. It was the end of the season and it would have been understandable if the staff were reaching the end of their patience but nothing was too much trouble. Stay here and you will not be disappointed.

What a find! After a few nights in Kokkari needed a few nights closer to the airport as our flight out was at 7:00am. We found Fito Bay on booking.com and because we took a chance and booked their "pay now, non refundable" rate, we got the room for $40USD per night (including breakfast). DEAL!!! the best thing about the hotel was the service. We were warmly greeted at check in as if we were old friends (thank you, Daniel!). The room was large, modern bathroom, and included extras like robes, fresh flowers, wifi, good tv reception. We were put into a room with twin beds ... Asked if they could be made up as a king... and within 5 minutes 3 cheerful women were there to help us. It's got the beach, a huge pool, your own private patio to sun or read, a nice restaurant with excellent food at good prices, and a snack bar on the beach (along with sun beds & umbrellas. Town was a 10 minute walk. It's a cute town with tons of waterfront cafes. I would stay here again at triple the price. Some people say the airport noise was an issue. I noticed a few flights during our 3 days there, but the noise lasts about 5 seconds. (I stopped noticing it on day two. It's really no big deal at all.). Oh, and breakfast was fabulous!!!

An excellent base, we stayed for 4 days before, and 3 days after a week in Patmos. You really couldn't be closer to the airport, though the 6 or 7 flights a day didn't disturb us but made interesting viewing. The Fito Bay reception staff were great to deal with to make our independent booking and were helpful and friendly throughout our stay. Don't expect too many English voices (a good thing?), most fellow guests are well behaved Scandinavians, Dutch and Belgians. Rooms in the main hotel were simple, modern and clean. Great continental / Greek buffet breakfast on the terrace. Beautiful pool surrounded by the gardens and bungalow apartments or another 25m and onto the beach. Spotless rooms and pool area, nice freshwater showers and great beach cafe called Sea Cafe. Friendly beach staff happy to fetch drinks for you but really it's nice to just walk up from the free sun beds and sit under he sun shade for a while. One of the best beaches, a bit of a dip on entry for small children but a 5m swim and a sandbar makes the water shallow again. Pleasant 15-20 minute walk into town of an evening for drinks and meals harbour side.
"friendly and nice"

We spent our honeymoon at Fitobay and it was a wonderful time. The staff is very nice and helpful, the rooms are clean and the poolarea had always enough room for everybody. We felt very welcome. The Airport is close indeed but since there are only a couple of airplanes leaving during the day it doesn't disturb a perfect Holiday at all. Thanks for having us! Yvonne and Daniel
"Home again at Fito Bay."

Yes, for the two Norwegian couples it was like coming home, from the moment we were met in the reception by the most friendly welcome back greetings. We could hardly wait to see our rooms, the same we have had since our first visit here in 2000. Outside our rooms we have a very quiet part of the hotel's big garden area. Sitting here among the young olive trees, our holidays have really started. We had particularly been looking forward to coming to Samos in May, after several visits in July. And we were not disappointed! Samos is an eldorado for hikers like ourselves at any time, but walking through these landscapes at springtime, is almost impossible to describe. All the shades of green, the scents, and all the beautiful colours, making almost every hillside a masterpiece. And the small local tavernas we passed on our way were open even at the beginning of May. Our rooms at Fito Bay are just as pleasant as we need. Good beds, free aircondition, a small fridge, even a small TV. The bathrooms are quite simple, but ok. What is very satisfactory, is the every day change of towels, clean sheets several times a week, and the very careful daily cleaning of the rooms. Every morning it is a pleasure to go to the very rich breakfast buffet. The restaurant staff is around all the time, to make sure we have everything we need, taking care that our cup of tea or coffee does not get empty as long as we want some more. Fito Bay has a perfect location. Situated in a nice garden, with a nice swimming pool area, and just across a road, the beach with crystal clear water. On the beach the hotel has sunbeds and a very nice beach bar. And even in May the sea was quite ok for swimming. Pythagorio with tavernas and shops is just a short walk away. During our 16 days stay we frequently visited the hotel's restaurant for lunch, as well as for dinner in the evening. We knew from earlier that they serve very nice meals here, but this time we really discovered what delicious food chef Dimitris makes. Honestly, we did not find better food in any of the restaurants we visited in Pythagorio or in Ireon. Some of them have more comprehensive menues, but whatever we ordered at Fito, it was delicious. And the waiters are all the time paying attention, ready to help in whatever way needed. And always ready for a nice chat with the guests, when they find a moment for that. Early May is probably a good time for that, too. It is always a pleasure to come back to a place where you can see that they all the time do their best to keep everything in good order. We came to a hotel that was freshly painted, and in the beautiful garden, the ground between the blooming bushes and trees was covered with small stones of different sizes, making various patterns. It looked very clean and tidy. In short, Fito Bay is a very likable place, with a very friendly and always helpful staff. We will certainly be back, preferably in the month of May again.

"Wonderful relaxing family resort"
07/24/13 Familyhols67 Bendigo, Australia
We recently enjoyed a wonderful stay at Fito Bay. The atmosphere and decor is very relaxing, The rooms are clean and fresh and reasonably spacious for a family of 4. Breakfast is delicious with a wide range of food provided to suit all family members especially lots of fresh fruit. However what stood out to us was the friendly and helpful staff who provided excellent service. I would highly recommend this hotel to other travellers. It provides good value. Having the airport next door was not an issue in terms of noise from planes as there are few flights , if anything it adds some interest as you watch the planes take off and land. The resort is in easy 10 minute walking distance from the town on a footpath, but can be a bit hot at times. The local beach was lovely and the pool very clean and big, although we found a beach just east of the town smaller and less windy.
"Next to doryssa, excellent location"
07/15/13 Darrya Finland
I didn't stay this hotel, but next Doryssa. But this has the same 5 star beach and good location. I didn't know that when I had to book hotel, might stay here if I had known. Good option! Other tips: Don't take Tui/ fridisresor Guide for your efesos or patmos tours, there is 46 persons and only one Guide without microphone. Go to smaller groups instead. The ephalinus tunnel is in walking distance, so is the monastery. Take shotcut though militou street.
