This was excellent value. A warm comfortable and convenient stay adjacent to Taunton with short motorway connections to the town and the surrounding tourist attractions. We would definitely choose this hotel again.

It's a cheap, but clean and well-kept hotel. The rooms are large and despite being next to a motorway and service station, it's very quiet.The staff were very friendly. It's not the type of hotel you would go to for a holiday, but as a place to sleep, it was very good. I would highly recommend it.

Spent 2 nights there on business trip. Hotel staff very friendly. I got the room pre-booked at a discount and was good value at that, even though hotel is past its best but acceptable and clean. Breakfast is next door at Roadchef and is only average. I don't think the position on the south carriageway is not a problem to north bound travellers

stayed 2 nights while visiting friends nearby. Hotel was clean, twin room accommodation comfortable. Much better than the last Travelodge I used. My 5 year old son and I stayed for 5 nights. Location was reasonable for our needs. The hotel was clean and tidy. Room service only visited the room only twice during our stay. The restaurant is actually the motorway services and therefore quite pricey. however the hotel offers vouchers worth £10 for £7.50. Great value for money. Very difficult to access for northbound traffic on the M5 as there is only a service bridge connecting the two sites and barriers and poor signage make it hard to reach.

The receptionist was very welcoming and informative when we asked her where we could eat off site. The room needed a revamp as peeling paintwork etc could be seen. The bathroom taps were difficult to turn off and on and once the pug was in the hole in the bath it took a muscle man to remove it! The bed had waterproof mattress cover which made the very […] uncomfortable bed even more uncomfortable. The duvet was too high in tog for the time of year also. Perfectly adequate in terms of the room and its facilities. No frills, but people don't stay long. TV channel choice disappointing, but possibly due to digital switchover taking place. Very limited choice of shops and eateries in the actual service station area, with very poor selection of food choices in the ones that exist.

We choose Days Inn at Taunton on our way through to the Dairy Event at Shepton Mallett. Very friendly reception staff on arrival. Large very clean and comfortable room on ground floor. As we were at the back of the hotel we heard no traffic whatsoever. Very comfortable bed in fact I slept better than I do at home. We had a very tasty evening meal at […] the restaurant 2 for £11, and again visited for breakfast again 2 full breakfasts for £11. Very reasonable and set us up for the rest of our journey. this was a modern basic hotel which offered everything needed for a couple of nights stay it was clean and comfortable. We originally were staying just for the one night and asked at reception if he room was available for another night and the price it was £10 more that the previous night as sunday night was cheaper than weekdays so we decided to leave […] as we had checked out a B & B for £45 a night but then w got a knock on the door ir was the receptionist she had used her initiative and checked with the manager and he was happy to offer it at the same price so we stayed even though it was more expensive than the B & B it was convenient and we appreciated the thoughtfullness and customer service of the receptionist unfortunately we did not get her name but the helpful attitiude made us convinced we will stay their again as our daughter is studying at the university there so we will be frequent users and we fell in love with the friendly locals.
