Asked to swap room (smell of 1st room unkind--don't know if it was room or someone else in the hall) & was accomodated w/o a problem. Desk service great, liked the locaiton (walk to grocery store next door) & parking (although extra surcharge for it). Nice looking, modern rooms & interior.

I was very disappointed with this hotel's location. It is in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. It is a long hike to the park, or a ride on the subway plus a long walk. The neighborhood is neither park-like, nor does it feel safe at night. It's the equivalent of a hotel in Times Square calling itself Central Park, only worse because at least Times Square is safe […] at night. This hotel was a refreshing change from Manhattan craziness. Very comfortable with extremely helpful staff. The breakfast gets a little crowded because of the small size of the breakfast room. Very convenient having the subway literally on the same block as the hotel. I would stay here again.

The hotel was clean, no bedbugs, which is a huge issue in Brooklyn. The rooms were tiny, barely able to pass between the bed and amoire. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would stay again, close to great restaurants and NYC. I thought it was a big pricey for what was offered, but it was clean and that was paramount to me.

Hotels.com credit card declined initially as I paid for my stay in advance and it took 45 minutes to fix the situation. The hotel staff do not seem to communicate with one another. The heater broke. The cable sucks and the wifi does not work on all devices.

I wanted someplace that was well priced, close to family in Brooklyn and Manhattan, and off a train line. This hotel fit the bill. It's right off the R line, and 20 minutes from the city. The problem with the hotel for me boils down to the exorbitant price. The room cost was almost double on Friday night compared to Thursday. And parking was an extra fee per night on top of that! Well, it is New York, you say. OK, but for those prices my expectations are very high. The room was attractive, nice view, but very cramped. The bathroom was […] big enough for only one at a time. Little available space for anything but lying in bed. That was all I needed, but moving around simultaneously with my partner was like being on a crowded dance floor, it felt as though we were always in each other's way. The complimentary breakfast was standard for a decent hotel. But that room was also very small and the many guests had difficulty maneuvering from station to station to get coffee and find their choice for breakfast. There was an overflow room with tables for eating down the hall, thankfully. The heat control, the thermostat, did not affect the room temperature. It was colder than I would like, although not freezing, and turning it up did nothing. When I asked in the morning they said they had been having trouble with the heat. I am not a demanding person, and if the rate was more reasonable I would have been happy. But for the high rate I paid, I feel I should not have felt cramped and cold. But it may be the best option for you. The staff was civil but not pleasant, reflecting an overall hotel experience of adequate but not special. Read more

And a complete breakfast for free with eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, yogurt, bagels, croissants, juices, coffee etc. I would definitely stay here again if visiting Brooklyn. […] Plus the R (Yellow) line subway is right out in front. We went to Brooklyn to visit my brother in law. We arrrived early due to our discount air fare. We were able to check in 2 hours early. The hotel was one building away from the subway station. this made visiting family a breeze. The beakfast was nice and service stated at 6:30AM on both weekend days. the room was small but well designed.
