Medosz Hotel - Budapest

After a 2 month visit to Budapest, staying in an apartment, we needed to spend our final night in a hotel. The Medosz was nearby. The wonderful ladies at the front desk allowed us to store 3 large suitcases a day in advance in a storage closet, and they allowed us to take a room at 8:30AM the day we were to check in. They did not have to do any of this, […] but they did, and with lovely smiles on their faces. The room was of reasonable size and immaculately clean. Everything we needed was provided. Our stay was quite comfortable. And since the hotel was one block from Oktogon, super restaurants were near by. Our stay here at the Medosz was a delightful final night in a fabulous city. Read more

the hotel has a great location - and is (compared to three years ago) partly renovated. In the colder times of the year the heating could give a lot of trouble. As in old socialistic times there is no possibility to regulate the heating which is going on full steam... Another minus of this - all in all- ok-hotel: If you are arriving by car you have […] to be prepared to pay quite proud parking prices in the surring parking-lots. My wife and I stayed in this hotel for three nights. There are many good things to tell about it. First of all, very convenient location. The hotel is not expensive. Our room was recently renovated. The breakfest was good. The staff was friendly nad responsive. But renovation in whole is not over. The construction work is in process which creates some […] inconvenience for the guests, leave alone the appearance. Among the suggestions - to equipe the room with a coffee machine and to have in a double room two chairs, not one. Me and my boyfriend stayed 3 nights in hotel Medosz. The location is the best part of this hotel, centrally in Budapest. The opera and a lot of restaurants are situated a few minutes away. The price was also quiet good, compared to other hotels nearby. The room was clean, quiet and just ok, nothing more. The breakfast was rather poor and the breakfast […] room is so small we had to wait to get a shared table. We ended up buying breakfast at some other restaurants two of the days (which is really cheap). The hotel had free parking just in front of the hotel reception. It did not cost 12 euros/day like the webpage says. This is a great hotel if you are looking for a clean place just to sleep, centrally in Budapest! Read more

Hotellilta on todella lyhyt matka Oktogonin metroasemalle ja raitiovaunuille. Vaikka sijainti on keskeinen, hotelli ei ole ihan ison tien varressa, eli autojen äänet eivät kuulu huoneeseen. Aamiainen oli runsas. Huoneessa oli tukalan kuuma eikä ilmastointi toiminut. Mutta kaikin puolin ihan ok hotelli.

Kanon nöjd med vårt rum på sjunde våningen med fönster som kunde öppnas. Wifi gratis men hoppade på och av hela tiden. Jätte bra frukostbuffe med allt vad vi ville ha. Das Hotel liegt zentral (Metrostation Oktogon) und ist nur durch die Andrassy Ut vom Liszt Ferenc-Platz mit vielen netten Lokalen getrennt. Wir hatten ein neu renoviertes Zimmer im 8.Stock mit tollem Blick über den Jokai-Park. Das kostenfreie Wlan hat in unserem Zimmer nur im Vorraum und im Bad funktioniert.

El Hotel no está mal pero nuestra experiencia nos indica todo lo contrario pues nos dieron la 902 y era una habitación completamente distinta al resto del hotel, era una habitación que no la encuentras ni en un hotel de una estrella. Muy mal a los dirigentes del hotel por mantener dicha habitación.

Das Hotel liegt ziemlich zentral, viele Sehenswürdigkeiten sind zu Fuß oder mit den öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel super zu erreichen. Die Hilfe, die wir an der Rezeption erfahren haben, nachdem unser Gepäck mit dem Flugzeug nicht mitgekommen ist, war sehr unterschiedlich. Wirklich geholfen hat nur die Kollegin am 2. Tag. Neben recht unesthetischen Flecken an Rohrleitungen u.ä. im Bad und großen Flecken auf dem Fußboden im Zimmer waren wir der Meinung, dass die Gardinen wahrscheinlich schon eine Ewigkeit keine Reinigung erlebt haben. Man mochte sie nicht anfassen. Andere Etagen sind renoviert und ansehnlich. Der von uns gezahlte Betrag ist unserer Meinung nach für die nicht renovierten Zimmer zu hoch. Read more

Quando fizer a reserva, tente garantir um quarto até o 7 andar, pois estão reformados. Fiquei no 9 andar e o estado de conservação não era muito bom. A cama era ruim, o carpete velho e sujo. O atendimento , no entanto, foi muito cordial e a localização muito boa.

Hotel si trova in eccellente posizione in una piazzetta del centro ben servita da metro e tram, la camera e' bellina e dispone di frigorifero e di un bel tv color lcd con vari canali, pero non ha l'aria condizionata e a Budapest e' necessaria in estate. La colazione non e' un granche' mi sono trovato meglio in altri Hotel di Budapest della stessa categoria […] , la qualita' delle marmellate e succhi di frutta non e' un granche' non ci sono dolci disponibili.... Die neuen Zimmer sind für ein 3 Stern Hotel sehr gut und die Lage ist sehr ruhig und zentral gelegen. Sehr gutes Preis-leistungsverhältnis. Die alten unrenovierten Zimmer sind jedoch nicht zu empfehlen.

Lage und Preis/Leistungsverhältnis einfach super. Leider befand sich das Hotel in der Komplettsanierung. Außendämmung mit entsprechenden Gerüsten und Lärm vor dem Fenster. Lage direkt an der Metro und die zahlreichen sehr guten Speiselokale in der unmittelbaren Nachbarschaft haben für die kleineren Unannehmlichkeiten entschädigt. In aanmerking nemend dat het een budgethotel is, ben ik erg tevreden. Er werd gigantisch verbouwd, kleden werden vernieuwd, het meubilair, de gordijnen. Prima badkamer,. Midden in de theaterbuurt gelegen met de mooiste winkelstraat om de hoek. Pal bij Oktagon, het plein waar heel veel O.V. is. Kortom: Een aanrader.

Mycket bra läge. Personalen är hjälpsam om man ber om hjälp annars säger de inte så mycket. Först hamnade vi i en suit som inte har blivit renoverad sedan 1974. Jag bad om ett annat rum och då hamnade vi i en suit med 3 rum, renoverat 2010. Frukosten är O.K., inget speciellt.
