The hotel is old and worn. However, the rooms were clean and the shower worked great. A breakfast buffet was included which had a good assortment of items with fresh baked bread and rolls.The rooftop pool was sparkling clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Beware of the elevator! It only holds 3 people!

Excellent location, situated a block from the pier and from the Plaza. If luxury is not a priority, it's perfect since everything is within walking distance. I have to admit breakfast is very good and it is not a continental breakfast...it's a full breakfast!

We had a great time. We are both in our 40s and we were married there. The people at the hotel decorated our bed with a heart made of rose pedals and made two swans out of our bath towels. There are three scooter rental shops within a block of the hotel to tour the island. We felt safe even at 2 a.m. when we were hungry and walking to Los Otates about 6 blocks away, they stay open till 5 a.m. We did not want the all inclusive trap, we wanted adventures and to enjoy the local flare and cuisine. The food was amazing and very inexpensive. We already have our return trip planned. We also enjoyed all the fresh fruit on the free breakfast in the morning. Staff is very helpful and friendly. They were very willing to work with us on some confusion on our reservation. Workers are always present cleaning etc. Morning breakfast is great. Roof top pool is the best. Right in the heart of downtown, walking distance to most things.

This is a fairly basic hotel. Our rate included breakfast, which was delicious and a good spread. There is a rooftop pool which is nice for a swim. The location is excellent - it is a few minutes walk from the ferry and the town square. It's excellent value for money.

We were there only here one night before leaving so it was a good location. Its only 1 and 1/2 blocks from Ferry and the a cab to the airport was cheap. We asked for a charge the night before which were told $20.00 but an hour before leaving, walked half a block to the taxi line and got a better price without negotiating and picked up at the hotel which […] we really needed as one of our luggage lost a wheel during flight. This was the second time we stayed at the Hotel Plaza Cozumel. This is your basic hotel, nothing fancy. So if you are looking for a Ritz Carlton experience you will not find it here. However, this hotel offers exceptional value for the price. The hotel is located 1 block from the main square in town and you are usually the first stop for the shuttle […] bus coming from the airport. The rooms were spacious, yet basic, and very clean. Every time we went to our room, we saw people maintaining the common areas of the hotel. There is a pool on the roof and they serve a free breakfast every morning. The breakfast is not just juice and muffins. The menu consisted of yogurt, cereal, beans, and a fajita chicken and onions, to name a few, on the first day. I'm sorry, but this place was just too great! Staff was never in your way, but very hard working. Crazy stuff, like folding our towels into swans. We loved the breakfasts, which varied from day to day, and were healthy, filling and delicious. An older building but they kept it spotless.

I went to Cozumel by myself for Scuba (wife hates "bubble watching") for two weeks. I didn't need "chocolates on the pillow" or other nonsense. Next time I'll being her here! And it was "Carnaval" week which souldn't be missed. Folks take it very seriously: elaborate parade floats, costumes, continuous happenings in the Plaza (a block away) for both […] adults and kids. Besides great everything; the location was perfect for me; a block to the ocean, and a block to Blue Magic dive shop, which has all, does all, and an aim-to-please-divers attitude with fast-boats (6 divers max), yet at a modest price. The hotel is older, and in a Mexican style. The A/C is the room is a bit outdated, thus noisy. Also because it's a large room the A/C can struggle a bit. There are free internet terminals in the lobby and a decent free breakfast. The price was good and the staff was friendly.

one thing that needs to be said, NO in-safe room, although there is a safety deposit box near the front desk, so this needs to be changed on the hotels.com website.... otherwise, a good location, and clean hotel. The hotel itself is clean and seemed to maintained nicely.

We went to Cozumel for the carnival. We were not expecting a luxurious room for that price and were very satisfied with the comfort, cleanliness and friendliness of the staff. The breakfast in the morning was great. Pool on rooftop was really nice but we didn't have a chance to use it. Would definitely recommend it as a place to stay.

There is no public transportation on the island so only way of getting around is taking an extreme expensive taxi or renting a scooter (which I would not recommend) / car. Ett gammalt och slitet hotell som verkligen skulle behöva renoveras. I och för sig så verkade det som att de redan hade börjat när vi var där, klockan åtta varje morgon väcktes vi att hammarslag och borrljud (effektiv väckarklocka). Men det var väldigt billigt och läget var bra, åtminstone om man åker till Cozumel för att dyka som vi gjorde.

Bästa läget nära färjestationen, mitt i downtown men ändå lugnt. Rummen var rena men gammla. Helt ok att bo i. På taket fanns solstolar och en pool, väldigt bra. Frukost ingick, helt ok, god musli yoghurt och frukt. Ej lika god juice och kaffe. Det enda vi saknade var kylskåp. Det var väldigt rent överallt, kändes som att någon städade korridorerna […] för jämnan. Trevlig och hjälpsam personal. Hyrde bil 3 dagar, ett måste om man vill se hela ön. Hyrde via cpcarrentals, fungerade bra trots att bilarna inte var i nyaste laget. Kommer bo här igen nästa gång vi åker till Cozumel. Read more
