The hotel could not have a better location. It is right in the historic walled city, just a few blocks from the wall. The staff is very friendly. They make you a nice breakfast. However, the hotel did not have any hot water. This might be every hotel in the walled city. I don't know. I just know it had none. Otherwise it was a great hotel. Direct TV comfortable bed, I felt totally safe. I left my bags, including my computer with the staff on my last day and I had no problems.

We stayed a few days and stayed at three different hotels. By far, this one was much better for your money. First off, this was the only one with someone... nice at the front desk. Ruby was very nice and provided a pleasant welcoming. We were very disappointed with service everywhere else we went. The hotel was very nicely kept and the room was very nice and clean. We were a little concerned about noise due to being on Calle Arsenal which is where there you can find may nightclubs. We did not experience any noise that was bothersome to us. The hotel was great but there is a disco on the street level that starts up around 9 PM every night and goes to 2 AM. Close to the Walled City it was easy to get in and move about Cartagena. Before staying at Arsenal we stayed in the "New City" near the beach, and found it nice being near the beach but everyday took a cab into the City. This was a nice change since we got to walk everywhere. The hotel itself is very sophisticated and modern. Every room is hidden away […] in its own three-room area. But do be aware that you can hear the bars' music at night. We had the suite (very large bed and sofabed) for three people. It fit us great, but the bathroom is a little tight. We were at the bottom floor and at night I also noticed that the lights flickered a lot a little hard when sleeping, and the curtains were kind of sheer so the other people may/may not see you in your room (but in our case nobody was around). Myself and two other amigos stayed in three separate rooms and all three rooms were nice. The "noise" from next door was not an issue. Water did fill up in my shower one night but it seemed to go down fast. A quick clean up of the water and it was no issue. Good breakfast, you pay a little extra for certain items. Our first couple hours, we were stuck […] at the hotel because of big rainstorm. Sat and drank cafe con leche with the manager...cool guy. Old city is great but we found the food places at the beach to be a better price. If we three had one solitary complaint about the whole trip it was that some of the food and drinks were more expensive than we anticipated. Taxis seemed fair priced. Overall, we were all extremely happy with the Arsenal Hotel. Thanks! Oh and I had an overnight guest one of the nights and that was no problem. O unico problema é que o meu quarto não tinha janela. Devido a arquitetura da construção, alguns quartos não tem. Rummen var rena och sangen var otroligt skon, vi sov som bebisar hela natten! Har man ett rum ut mot gatan, vilket vi hade, sa kan man dock storas av musik fran kringliggande barer. Detta storde […] dock inte oss da vi var alltfor trotta efter en lang resa. Personalen gjorde allt for oss! Frukosten var underbart sot och de fixade sa vi kunde ta oss fran hotellets dorr till varat hotell i Santa Marta till ett mycket rimligt pris. Smidigt att aka dorr till dorr da man kan bestamma nar och om man vill stanna till vid vagen for att ga pa toaletten. Over lag rekommenderar jag detta hotell starkt!
