"Basic but it works"
The staff were very friendly, the location was close to almost everything one could need, the room was clean but needed some work. For example, the bathroom had a new coat of paint but clearly a second coat was needed. The room across the hall was being worked on so perhaps they were not yet finished. The breakfast was lacking, just coffee and sliced […] bread. Juice or water or apples would have been nice. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"terrible downtown location"
no parking facilities. Had to use parking garage. Real rip off. Had to pay going in ($10.00) and going out ($15.00) for one overnight parking. Staff was disinterested, elevator operator ( yes, they had an old cage type elevator) let me off at the wrong floor, had to wait 'til he came back from his break (15 minutes) to be taken to the right floor ( […] I cannot climb stairs.) "Good location. Not much else."
Good spot downtown. Lots of noise around. Hotel website photos were not realistic. But for a quick stay, it was an easy walk/bus ride to where we wanted to go. Only recommend it to others with disclaimer that is not a top notch hotel to avoid disappointment. The lift was fun, when it was in service.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Want to save money"
If you want to save some money and stay downtown Miami this is an ok place to stay the neighborhood isn't the best but what do you expect when your trying to save money! It's about 3 blocks from bayside shopping area so you can walk. The continental breakfast was bread with a toaster and I think Coffee I didn't eat. The hotel is very very old a bellman […] has to run the elevator, the beds were full size, our bedroom door didn't close all the way and the closet was so small I wouldn't fit in it! The hotel was clean for the most part. What more can I say if you don't want to pay $350 for a hotel downtown stay here, it's clean,it's just old and could use a little updating. The staff was very nice! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Leamington Hotel, Miami Florida"
Wished we had another option, but had already booked through you!! This place was a person's worst nightmare! The stucco on the walls had been painted over with no repair done. The door would not lock!! There were NO disability accommodations, don't know how they get by with that. Don't know how YOU can even have them on your radar!!!! The elevator […] didn't match up to the floor when one landed. A person had to run the elevator for you with the old GRILL across the door, etc. No wash cloths, no bath mat. The tub was worn all the way down to the metal under the porcelain!! This really was a place out of a horror story. I don't plan on making ANY more hotel reservations through expedia. We were VERY disappointed. Oh, the continental breakfast was toast and coffee! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"I would recommend this but don't expect to much."
This was very much what we expected it to be. I went in having read all of the previous reviews thus was not expecting a 4 star stay. the service was great, the room was small and served it's purpose as a place to sleep. We did not use the shower or bathroom if possible. the price was right and we had fun walking around the immediate area which had […] a little dive bar and 24 hour corner eatery very close. the best part was right across the street and a very short walk to the Bayside Market place which was a must see and very fun. Awful. Toilet overflowed after one use. No wash cloths, no phone. Ancient elevator. Would not shower or eat there.Genuine Expedia guest review
It's nothing like the pictures, I wasn't expecting a 5 star hotel because I now what I am paying but even though almost $600 for these conditiones was not acceptable. There was no air conditioner inside the room. The amount of water available makes it almost impossible to brush your teeth and even worst taking a shower. Personal didn't clean the room […] or made the bed for 2 days! Elevator seems from prehistory... The only good thing was the location. Anything else. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Worst hotel I have ever! No towels or washcloths. No blankets. Staff kept lying saying the towels were out with the cleaning service. Had to sleep in clothes and coat to keep warm.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Inexpensive and convenient"
Yes, it's an old building. No, it's not chic. A great option if you need a frugal place to crash before a cruise -- it's a $7 cab ride to the Port of Miami. Of note, there is an elevator, but it's old school and you'll be better off using it just for dragging your luggage to your room and using the stairs. There are enough places to eat in the immediate […] nieghborhood and easy access to basic stores for last minute purchases. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Should have brought earplugs"
Rtd tracks outside of the window. Trash trucks (like 4 or 5) pull from the surrounding buildings at 4am. Normally not an issue, but with paper thin windows, you hear everything. "worst hotel to stay at"
The location was the only good thing about this hotel. It was the worst hotel i have ever stayed in. I will not stay at this hotel again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
There is no parking for you to park your vehicle. You must go 2 block up and pay $20.00. Oh if you get there after 9:30, there is no parking, because they close. They were little animals on the walls of the room. You think, a hotel in downtown Miami should be nice, not this oneGenuine Expedia guest review
"Old and noisy, slow service"
I originally picked this hotel because it had free wifi and breakfast and was right by the light rail station. It had all of those things, but the hotel was terrible. It took a half hour for me to check in with 2 people ahead of me, it appeared to be slow computer issues or just way too much paperwork. took me a little search to find the elevator and […] quite a while for it to come down. While I was waiting I noticed a note that the elevator doesn't run fro midnight to 6am, which I found odd until I realized the 100 year old elevator needed an operator to run. When I got to me room it appeared that the lock had been broken at some point in the past. I tested the lock and it appeared to hold though. The room inside looked worse than a college dorm - there was a table, chair, double bed, nightstand, phone, lamp, an old TV(didn't test it), but no alarm clock, and only 2 electrical outlets. The bathtub had a leak and was dripping constantly, and only a bath towel was provided (no hand towel, wash cloth, or mat for the floor). I thought the window was open because it was so loud and humid in the room, went to look and realized the window pane was being held in place by some very worn duct tape and my view was the light rail which goes by every 2 mins. I did not end up staying the night, since I was traveling on business, I felt this hotel did not meet my needs. Perhaps college kids trying to travel for cheap would appreciate it. The room is in very poor condition. A thorough updating would be in order. The elevator is a relic and has to have an attendant to operate it. The rate per night is overpriced based on the condition of the room. It was nice to have toast and coffee for breakfast that was included. Also, the shuttle to the Miami Pier was included. I would not stay there […] again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Absolutely the worst hotel I have ever entered! You didn't need your room key to enter your room because the door not only didn't shut properly, but the lower hinge wasn't attached to the wall. No air conditioning and all windows were sealed shut. We did not stay here, only spent enough time to locate another hotel. For the 15 minutes that I spent in […] this hotel I was afraid. I did not stay there. It was very very very very much below my standard of living .Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The pictures of the hotel room on their website have to be photo shopped. The rooms are 100 times worse than what they have pictured. The door going into the room was flimsy and there was only one lock on the door. I could see into the hallway when the door was shut. A child could have kicked the door in. We had to sleep with a chair under the door […] and a rickety desk pushed up against the chair. There was a train that went by every few minutes. The walls are so thin that we could hear everything outside and the train sounded like it was in our room. The beds were small and uncomfortable plus with the appearance of the room, I was afraid to touch the sheets. One flimsy sheet and blanket were provided. In the morning, I tried to shower and it took 5 minutes to get lukewarm water. No complimentary shampoo or soap was provided. The elevator is so old that they have to have somebody operate it. The room smelled and was in total disrepair. The carpet was stained and the paint was chipping off of the walls. It appears like a good deal on their website compared to the prices of other hotels, but it is so not worth saving the money. We got no sleep because of the uncomfortable beds, loud trains and feeling of not being safe. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Renovation hasnt been done in at least 50 years..."
Horrible motel condition. On the pictures it looks great, and we paid 180 per night, when we got there, Motel 6 for 20 per night is much cleaner and nicer. Hyatt Regency just a few blocks away was 220 per night, a super 5 star hotel...Genuine Expedia guest review

A good hotel for only a couple of nights. Nice service and reception. Room for luggage when arriving early. Close to a beautiful park, stores and Maicy's. "Terrible - could not last for 2 nights."
Clean sheets and towels. This is about only thing acceptable. Noisy noisy noisy. Even interrior rooms are exposed to the huge commercial air conditioning fans. Otherwise it is the metro tram running at 3rd floor level. Cheap but terrible beds, breakfest is a coffee or tea and a toast - yes there is a marmoladeGenuine Expedia guest review
Great location! Bayside Mall and the Port of Miami are right across the street. Area around hotel has great shops and really great prices! The layout of our rooms was odd but the space was nice for 10 people. We had a family of 5 in each family room - two bedrooms one bath in each unit. Bathroom doors didn't close and the carpets were absolutely filthy! […] Beds are very comfortable and clean. The hotel is more like a hostile; basic, in poor condition, no decoration and the continental breakfast is VERY limited with nothing for children to drink. Very convenient for our needs and cheap relative to other hotels in the area especially when considering the complimentary shuttle to the port, however not a place to stay for more than one night and not for kids! "A absurd and horrible hotel"
If you have a car or have a lot of luggages, or even you really wanna sleep at night, never come to this place. Plus, the "free wifi" was just a lie - there's no wifi signal in the room at all! Here's the thing: I arrived at the hotel (I don't think this place can be called "hotel") with my parents at night, and experienced a really slow check-in with […] my dad while my mom was finding a parking lot(there's no free parking, but there's a garage which cost us 22 bucks to stay overnight). I reserved a room with one single bed and one double bed for 3 guests, but the lady at the front desk gave us a room with 2 single beds. So I returned back to the front desk and told her she gave me the wrong room. However she asked me how many people do we have. So is that means if we have only 2 people she will just gave me a room with 2 single beds?! That's ridiculous. She then asked me if I used the toilet. I said no. But I can see in her eyes that she did not believe me at all! Then she just said "if you ripped off the red paper, I'm gonna charge you." Seriously?! She gave me the wrong room intendedly and wanna charge me for her mistake? That's unbelievable. Yes - and the airtrain. It was so noisy that my dad didn't sleep for the night at all. And it was cold, with no heat AC. Oh - the elevator. It works only from 6am-12am. So when we need the elevator at 5:30am in order to catch the 8:00am flight. The elevator man did not come up till 6am. But thank God we did not miss the flight. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

This hotel was old, dirty and smelled funny. The shower had mold in it and the elevator was from 1900 so I had to walk up and down the stairs constantly including when I checked out with my heavy baggage. The wifi was slow and the all the continental breakfast consisted of was bread and jelly. The complimentary shuttle to the port of miami was small […] so people had to wait for it to come back multiple times (I was fortunate to sneak on the first trip). The only good thing about the hotel was the location. It was located close to the basketball arena and minutes away from South Beach. I was lucky I only had to stay one night before checking out for my cruise. Next time I will spend the extra few bucks though to get a little more of a pleasant experience. "Good location, but terrible room"
One of the ugliest rooms I have ever stayed in (would it kill them to hang a painting or a poster on the wall) and not well laid out. The TV is positioned just a fraction of an inch to the right above the awkward step up into the bathroom, so when I went to the bathroom in the middle of the dark night of course I conked my forehead on it. One bed was […] squishy soft and the other was hard as a rock. Take your pick! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
