Location
Fortaleza has long attracted Brazilians and increasing numbers of foreign travelers, who seek out its renowned beaches beside the city's best nightlife and restaurants. Bars, dance clubs and comedy venues cluster around the Praia de Iracema neighborhood, a 15-minute walk from the hotel. From here the neighborhood opens up to Iracema Beach, one of the city's most popular sunbathing spots. The Ponte dos Ingleses pier is also located here, offering spectacular views of the city skyline at sunset.
Hotel Features
Situated in the Meireles neighborhood, the 2-story Cocal hotel is within walking distance of Fortaleza's nightlife district, a beach and plenty of shopping. This intimate, tropical themed hotel has 32 spacious rooms that feature cable TV and complimentary wireless Internet access. Guests arriving by air should take the 25-minute taxi ride to the hotel and let the multi-lingual staff arrange a subsequent car rental. Onsite parking is available (surcharge). Alternatively, the hotel offers shuttle services (surcharge) that will take guests to area beaches, city attractions and the airport. The front desk staff can also arrange city tours and outdoor excursions, like diving and off-roading. For breakfast, a traditional breakfast buffet is served in the restaurant. The hotel also has a copy/fax machine and wireless Internet access throughout the building. Cocal also has laundry facilities and disabled-accessible facilities and guestrooms. Pets are not allowed.
