"Perfect location to Bruges."
The location was fantastic for bruges it was literally a 10min drive away. The staff were good but when asked the best was to get to the town center his directions were bad but the hotel was lovely. A bit quirky but really nice and the breakfast catered for all. All in all a good experience.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Total disappointment. Reservation not honored."
10/20/14 Fiero9 Houston, Texas
This was a total disappointment and a terrible experience. When we arrived at the hotel, their reception personnel said that they received the fax from Travelocity, but that they did not have an agreement with Travelocity and therefore the reservation was not honored. The receptionist was not helpful under this situation to even try to help us find an alternate solution. After asking for help the receptionist suggested that we tried a certain B&B place, but he did not even made an effort to call this or any other places to try to support us in this situation. Being in a country where language is a barrier and not getting any sort of local help is not an experience I would recommend anyone to go through. We really had to struggle to find another hotel at the last-minute. Stay away from this place!
"Great little hotel"

We stayed here for 3 nights and thought we had best leave a review. Overall the hotel is nice, and the owners lovely. The car park can get quite full so perhaps bear this in mind. The hotel does have some fairly narrow stairs which were no problem at all but I can imagine somebody with mobility problems to struggle. The breakfast is nice, lots of choice, cornflakes, breads, meats, cheeses, fruits and yogurts. Free wifi is also included. We enjoyed our stay here but did not realise how far out from the centre of Brugges it really is. From the bus station to the hotel it cost us €30 in a taxi!! There is a bus stop outside the hotel which comes fairly regularly and is €3 each one way. Takes around 15/20 mins to arrive in the city centre. Overall a great stay.
"Not for people with worse mobility"

I spent one night there. Pros: perfect and comfortable bed, tasty breakfast. Cons: all the other - many negatives. The lady at the desk doesn´t speak English. The stairs to the first floor are extremely narrow and uncomfortable - not easy to bring the suit case upstairs and almost impossible to bring it downstairs again. If you meet and older neighbor, must count with the waiting - people cannot miss there. The corridors and rooms are rather smelly - maybe heavy carpets are the reason. The wallpapers are loose in the corners of the room and in the built-in toilets. The roof of the room is noisy - every step of the person 1 level above may wake you up.. The car parking is insufficient when the hotel is full. The glass-garbage collector is just next the hotel wall.. The price level doesn´t correspond to the service you get definitely .

"Nice hotel, but watch out for the flies"

A hotel in a nice location - just a few km east of Brugges. It's on a bus route if you're without a car. The rooms were fine - clean and nicely decorated, but some of the bath towels were rather frayed and worn. Our rooms were on the top floor overlooking the garden - away from any noise from the road. The whole place has a quaint charm that comes from the antique furniture in the rooms and the 19th Century building. The owners were friendly and welcoming. However the major annoyance was the flies in the breakfast room! On 2 out of 3 mornings there were a lot of flies in the breakfast room - flying around and walking over the breakfast buffet foods - not nice! Our rooms had a small bath in the en-suite, and it wasn't really possible to stand for a "proper shower" in the bath. Finally be warned that the stairs are narrow and there is no lift. Watch out for the dog poo in the car park!
"Not cheap and smelly"

We stayed for 2 nights. The room was spacious for a family of 4, in fact it was 2 separate rooms into 1 which was convenient. The owner was very kind as we reached after midnight. The owners wife offered us breakfast the next morning at 11.30 even though it is only served till 10. Now the bad bits Extremely smelly hotel. Very dirty carpets. It is probably due to the dog they have. Also it claims to be in Damme but is actually 7 km from it. So if you don't have transport your are in trouble. Wouldn't stay here again as at euro 140 a night I would expect a very good hotel which this is clearly not.

We stayed for three nights in September. Very friendly owners, english speaking. Rooms were good size with and ensuite. the hotel is small and has lots of character. Close to Bruges in a small town of Sijsele. Good breakfast, we did not have the evening meal as we were visiting friends but it has a good reputation. Small bar with reasonable prices and the owners stayed up for some long nights with us talking over all sorts of topics. There is a resident boxer dog who is friendly.

A fuir!

Vriendelijk onthaald.
