The lobby was beautiful, we walked in and I was pleasantly surprised. However, once we got into our room, it was pretty mediocre. The bed was hard and the bathroom was really musty, which I could deal with if there had been WI-FI! The bathroom was so damp that there's no way it's not growing mold. However, the room was equipped with a television and a small refrigerator, as well as robes for both my husband and myself and a hair dryer. We didn't use the public bath, but it was supposed to have great views. As for the location, it was super close to the subway station, which is awesome. It was a slight trek to the Nishiki Market, which was amazing. There is a nearby spanish restaurant which offers free wi-fi and the food is good as well, so we ate there a couple of times. The polite and helpful hotel staff provided walking maps of the area, which were useful. We were allowed to leave our bags after we checked out until we were ready to leave, which is always nice.
