Great hotel. Great location. Lorraine and Yusef are terrificGenuine Hotels.com guest review
High value hotel, the owner is a Canadian lady, very nice. and the location is also very good, on top of the hill. We can see the chimmy stone just from the back window. And there even are toothbrushes and paste in bathroom! The only short I would say is a little cold in the room, especially in bathroom, my boyfriend was not well the next day.
The hotel service is very good. I arrived in the hotel at 12 pm. But they welcome me very kindly. But location is a little bad. If you already request other pick up service, don`t worry about that.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Genuine Expedia guest review

"It could have been 5 start experience"

The room, breakfast, and service were all good and I would have given them 5 stars if the Canadian woman in charge (Laura?) would have had more common sense and a little more scruples. The introduction was a bit long and she kept talking and trying to sell us tours even though we tried to give her a hint that, yes, we got it but we would like to leave and go out. My husband can only have liquid diet after cancer treatment so in the first day morning I told her we only need 1 breakfast. She asked my husband why he didn't want to eat and my husband told her he couldn't eat. She kept asking why and my husband told her please don't ask. She still kept asking him with awkward laugh in front of everyone at dinning room, "So how do you live on?" and "Do you blend food?," etc. I tried to ignore this awkward situation and enjoy my breakfast but then later she started to complain about how her previous business had been loosing money, the negative change of tourist scene here, and the fact that she has been stuck here in Goreme... Honestly, I didn't care about her problem since obvious everyone has his own problem and we were not paying for listening for hers. We were just there to try to enjoy our trip. On the other hand, the Turkish boy working there was very nice and so welcome to help everyone. He carried our luggage which were about 100 lb to our room upstairs with smile. I woke him up at 5am to ask him to call our hot balloon shuttle bus that was running late and he still helped us with smile. In the end, we wanted to give 10 TL to tip the boy so we asked Laura for change. Instead of giving us change she snatched the money and said "Thank you." Like it was for her. There was some confusion and in the end my husband gave her 10 lira and told her it's for the boy. She just kind of ignored it and put the money into her pocket so I tried to remind her again but she didn't face me and just replied "uh-huh". i'm pretty sure the tip never went to the boy... In the end she ended up being shadier than your average Istanbul hustler.

A wonderful little hotel set high above the town. Lots of advice from both Lorraine and Orhan. Rooms are beautiful and even in winter we had no need for the heater. Breakfast were lovely and the views from the terrace especially early in the mornings were awesome. Orhan and Lorraine were amazing, great people to chat to especially if they share a bottle of wine I the terrace with you! The only con was that wifi wasn't available in the rooms, essential for me to keep I touch with family and to research for my trip.

We spent 3 nights here in May 2014 and loved it. When we first checked in Lorraine showed us two rooms that were available - the cave room we had booked and another. We actually chose the other as it had better views. Another reviewer mentioned that they did not think this was an authentic cave hotel and that they felt it was more of a normal hotel with a cave theme - please note you can indeed specifically book cave rooms, however yes, the others are normal rooms with a cave theme. The kitchen by the dining room is also built directly into one of the fairy chimneys and one of the rooms below it also is. I had specifically booked a cave room as I had wanted that cave experience before we arrived, however my husband and I liked the view better so were happy with the 'arch' bedroom. Breakfast was amazing. We stayed at 7 different hotels/pensions during our time in Turkey and Turquaz provided one of the best. The only thing it lacked was cereal which most other hotels do offer, but I feel this is probably an addition for western tastes, and the breakfast provided is so delicious and filling you don't need anything else! You are provided with a plate with olives, cucumber, tomato, an assortment of fresh fruit, cheese, dried fruit and a basket full of the most divine bread rolls I have ever tasted with butter and jam. You are also offered eggs cooked pretty much however you liked, tea, coffee and juice. There seemed to only be one option with the juice and it was one I was not familiar with, but it was ok. The bedrooms are lovely and the lack of TV mentioned by a previous poster is a total non-issue. It never even crossed my mind the whole time we were there. We had a great view of a quieter part of the valley with fairy chimneys, and in the mornings, hot air balloons! The rooftop terrace also had a lovely view but we ate in the dining room (big windows so still a good view) as the breeze was a little cool in the mornings. The bed was perhaps a *little* hard, but we still slept well. The bathroom was very narrow and the mirror was placed too low for my 6 foot 2 husband which made it very difficult for him to shave! Also the shower head seemed to be one of those water-saving ones with not enough holes in it, and it had calcified up a bit which made it worse, but there were no problems with the water temperature or pressure otherwise. Otherwise the bathroom was modern and clean. It's true that it is a bit of a walk up from the town centre, but this means it is quieter too - and it's still not very far! We also booked our hot air balloon ride through them and got a discount. I'd definitely recommend Turquaz Cave Hotel, it is great value.

You can't believe how friendly and helpful BOTH Orhan and Lorraine are until you meet them in person. If they give you advice on specific ours, or places to go, LISTEN TO THEM. They know their way around Cappadocia. Orhan arranged an airport pickup, a balloon ride and a tour weeks in advance for me. We happened to see him while in Avanos and had just bought a rug. But, we were on a scooter and not sure how to get it back. He took it for us. Above and beyond. The actual place is incredibly charming and clean. Make absolute sure you eat breakfast on the upper terrace. You'll eat an amazing breakfast every morning with epic views of the valley. The pictures of the place don't do it justice. The cave room was truly a great experience. Look no further than Turquaz Cave Hotel for your lodging. Great location too.

We just returned from our stay at the Turquaz in Goreme. It was a great hotel and a great value. The cave rooms were clean and well appointed. Lorraine, the hotel manager/concierge was so helpful and kind in offering her advice on visiting the local sites. She can customize any tour package you are looking for. She is also a native English speaker (and speaks fluent Turkish) so she can be very helpful in finding whatever you are looking for. Breakfast was great and the views from the breakfast area were amazing. We did miss having a TV (there are none in the rooms) but we were so busy everyday, that it wasn't the worst thing to miss.

Turquaz Cave is a great location to stay in a cold season. The interior of our room was very nice, the radiator was hot, no problems with hot water too. I can also mark the friendly staff and personally Lorraine for her kind assistance in planning of our activities and leisure at Goreme.

I stayed in the Turquaz Cave Hotel for three nights during my time in Cappadocia, and I was completely satisfied. The room is great for the price.... very comfortable. Lorraine (hotel management) was extremely helpful for me. I had a few small problems, but none of them were enough to negatively impact my overall impression. The location leaves a bit to be desired (it's quite a bit uphill, away from the restaurants and cafes of Goreme). The WiFi worked intermittently at best, so take note if this is important for you. Also, I'm not sure that it is the most authentic cave hotel in Goreme... it felt rather more like a normal boutique hotel with a cave "theme". This could be something to consider if you are really determined to have a true "cave hotel" experience. However, if you just want a really nice place to stay in Goreme, with extremely comfortable rooms, very helpful staff, and a good breakfast, then look no further!

We make the right choice to stay at Turquaz for 2 nights. The rooms are same as the picture shown on the website, clean and comfy. Also good view on the roof top. And we met the great host ever, Orhan was so kind to show us around on our first day and cooked us dinner on our last night in Goreme. We had great conversation and hopefully we can meet him again. Thanks Orhan! Ming & Paullie from Malaysia
"Fantastic little cave hotel with amazing views”"

We stayed at Turquaz for 3 nights in October. We arrived from Ankara, phoned Orhan the owner, he picked us up and took us to the Hotel, which is on top of the hill, the view from their is spectacular.Orhan told us about the Tours and we booked a tour through him. Next day Orhan dropped us at the open air museum and he introduced us to a Taxi, who took us around. The Cave room was warm and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent, every thing fresh. Orhan the owner and Lauraine were very friendly and helpful.
