"Times Square Nugget"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 6, 2012
We really enjoyed our stay. We stayed for a week and were glad to find a hotel right in the heart of Times Square. The service was definitely top notch! The front desk was courteous and the concierge was very helpful, recommending great shows and restaurants. Our room was nice. It could've been a little larger. But the bathroom was a good size and the size of the TV's and the fact that they played HD was a bonus. Also, the bed was quite comfortable. The cleaning staff did a fine job of keeping up the room. I'll definitely recommend this hotel to others.
"Consistency. You can depend on it."Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
Finding a "GOOD THING" these days can get harder and harder. For this reason when you come across a 'good thing" it is priceless. One of the most recent "good things " that I have come across is the PARAMOUNT hotel in Times Square. The first thing that I leave the hotel impressed by is the professionalism and commitment that is demonstrated by the staff. Starting with the front desk where I was checked in by Catherine and continuing until the driver which I received at the hotel hands me my luggage at the airport. Catherine followed the details of my visit until the moment I checked out. The only dislike that I had which eventually i got over was the view of the alley where the boiler or some loud machine was placed. I know that from now on I will request a room that faces anywhere but there. If you are going to New York and plan on taking in Broadway there could not be a more perfect location. I love this hotel so much I find myself wanting to travel to NYC more. I cannot wait until my next visit to the PARAMOUNT which I hope will be in the next few weeks.

Very nice hotel, within walking distance to subway for access to Manhattan (take the 7 or E and you can get to grand central, times square, penn station). Just a few blocks to local restaraunts. The room was very clean, excellent staff, free shuttle to subway. Overall an excellent place to stay if your touring new york city. One note, if you are considering a "view room" save your money, the view is obstructed by a number of taller buildings (the hotel is only 7 floors). Overall an excellent experience and I would definitely stay again, especially at the rate because of the new hotel discount. If you plan to take a cab from the hotel call one yourself because the service the hotel uses charges a flat rate to specific areas and you can get a cab on your own for cheaper generally.

The landmark Brooklyn Bridge links Manhattan with the city’s most populous borough. Waterfront Brooklyn Heights offers superb views of Lower Manhattan. Renowned for its brownstones and leafy neighborhoods, Brooklyn embodies America’s “melting pot.” Italian, Mexican, Chinese, and Jewish communities add to the cultural mix. Highlights include Coney Island, Prospect Park, and Brooklyn Museum of Art.

"Nice new hotel"
We stayed here on a Saturday night in February. The hotel is new and it shows. The lobby and exercise area were in good condition. The elevators and hallways were clean. The room was also clean and trendy looking. The room is a bit small, but that is par for the course in New York. The bathroom and shower was relatively big. Parking is a great option […] for an extra $25. The breakfast - although not overly fancy - has something for everyone. My biggest complaint was that it was a windy night, and the screen in the window kept rattling and waking me up. I didn't call maintenance because it was late and my wife somehow slept through it - but when I talked to the front desk about it the next day they comped my parking. Overall it was a nice stay in a nice location, and I would stay here again. Read more
The $25 dollars to park in the hotel lot was well just a bit much for my taste. i parked on the street
Comfortable room and very nice staff. Good buffet breakfast.
"Ok"
This hotel was ok not what I expected. There was no room service also they charge to much to park your car for one night.

"Fairfield Inn and Suites Brooklyn"
I fly to New York once a month to visit my kids and this past visit i stayed in the Fairfield Inn and Suites in Brooklyn. It is very close to my kids and the subway. The staff and Management is great too! I felt at home there and would love to stay there every time i visit my kids. Thank you for helping me with a great visit.
"Got the job done"
I needed a place in the neighborhood to stay as my apartment was undergoing repair/renovations. Fairfield Inn was the closest with decent rates. It turned out to be a good, clean, well-run hotel. A lot of European tourist were staying there during my visit. It would be great if the hotel offered a free shuttle to the subway or into town even.
"Fairfield Inn and Suites BKly- new but troubled"
During our stay, serious rain flooded the basement level where breakfast was supposed to be served. A fire alarm took out elevator service... We hardly knew what to expect when we returned at the end of the day. That said, the staff handled the difficulty with aplomb and good humor. Nevertheless, I can't recommend this hotel because of it's location- […] a dicey neighborhood not very close to the subway. Park Slope with it's shops is within decent walking distance, but the hotel is not in Park Slope. Literally a dump across the street as we looked out our window! Read more
"An adventure"
The hotel was new, clean, bright, comfortable, reasonably-priced and in a fairly convenient location. The immediate neighborhood is crummy but they have a fenced-in and monitored parking lot (for a fee). A block or two away things seemed better, so this neighborhood will probably improve. The adventure: Sunday morning the lower lobby was flooded; when […] we returned that night the fire alarm strobes were flashing in the lobby; Monday morning the elevators weren't working properly. Throughout all this the staff remained good-natured, helpful and friendly. They did the best they could and are to be commended. The place is new and there are obviously some kinks to work out. If I need to stay in that area again, I would not hesitate to go back. Read more
Hotel very clean, room small but adequate - staff friendly and helpful - short walk to a subway - Q line get you into Manhattan quickly (OVER the Brooklyn Bridge) - but neighbourhood not the best
