"Kiba"
The capsule was clean and surprisingly large and comfortable. Nice that it accommodated females so I could travel with my brother. Not a place to stay if you really need to sleep as there is a lot of noise until late with people moving in and out, conversing, and eating in the halls by the capsules. Much more comfortable than expected and a great Tokyo experience!

"A fun experience!"
Worth doing for one night for the experience! The capsule was clean with a TV, light and space to plug in chargers etc. Wifi was available on the second floor of the building but not in the capsule rooms. The big bathroom is far superior to the small bathroom with a jacuzzi and sauna but only available to women between 4am and 10am. Staff were really friendly, polite and helpful throughout our stay. The hotel is a subway journey away from the areas of Tokyo with more sights and bigger restaurants and bars but the Kiba subway station is only 3 minutes away. There are also plenty of places to eat and drink close by. It's worth bearing in mind that luggage needs to be left in the reception area as fire regulations mean you cant take it to the capsules. You do get a small locker for valuables but travelling lighter would have made this a bit easier! All in all a good experience, but probably for one night only!

"Fun capsule experience!"
I really enjoyed our stay! I thought the capsules were a comfy and a decent size for 2 people. It was a fun, Japanese experience that we wanted to try out a d it was great - and also a cheap nights stay! I found it quiet enough and had a pretty decent sleep. There is only wifi downstairs in the reception area and each capsule only had one locker so we had to share - having a locker each would have helped. Suitcases/rucksacks need to be left in a public area. The staff were friendly and one lady in particular was SO helpful and called a nail salon to make an appt for me! The bathrooms are japanese style - no one else seemed to use them so I had the room to myself! That was about 9.45am (check out is 10am). The hotel was right beside a metro station (if you come out the right exit - which often confused us with Metros in Japan!) But the sign is writing in Japanese characters. Also - it's at the opposite side of Tokyo from Shibuya/Shinjuku so keep that in mind if you are out in these areas in the evening. The metro stops about midnight and we had a crazy dash to try to catch the metro back. We got as far as Tokyo Station (about half way) before they were closed and then we had to catch a cab - which we were pleased only cost about £15!!

"Great Experience"
I really wanted to try a capsule hotel while in Japan and this one was ideal. Travelling as a couple it was difficult to find one that had a capsule for the both of us but this was perfect. It was way roomy than expected, had a cute little tv and plug sockets to charge everything. One issue, which was by no means the hotel's fault, was the neighbours! If you are unlucky to have bad capsule neighbours like we did then the experience is brought down greatly. The couple staying in the capsule beside us just wouldn't make up their minds. They kept coming and going and standing around outside and talking. Very frustrating! Even worse were the pair above us. The American pair checked in super late (middle of the night late) and were so noisy, waking us up. They were very inconsiderate of people sleeping and decided to take photos when they arrived, at their capsule, literally past midnight. Since we were below them this was a big problem! They didn't care though.

"Stay for the novelty"
We've always wanted to experience staying in a capsule hotel and Tokyo Kiba was the only one that allowed couples. It was quite a pleasant stay, for a capsule hotel, and the inside of the capsules were warm even though it was cold outside, and they change the beddings every morning unless your blinds are drawn. They provide pajamas and towels and there's a lounge area where you can hang out before going up to the capsule rooms. I would book a stay in here again just for the novelty of it.

"Great stay"
Stayed here for 5 nights and had a great time. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room was cleaned everyday and the common room was a good place to chill and use the Internet. I would definetely stay here again. Very nice and extremely close to the metro. It's only 16-18 minutes to Tokyo station by metro which is great. Location is convenient and everything is very accessible. There's a family mart 2 minutes away which is opened 24 hours. The capsule itself is larger than I thought and very comfortable. Baths are shared but didn't have a problem as there was never anyone there when I wanted to have a shower. It's usually very busy in the mornings but was jet lagged so often got up at 4 or 5 and had a shower then just relaxed in the common room.

"Great Experience!"
Such a great experience, one night was fine to say youve done it and tick the box, maybe 2 nights maximum, but capsule was more spacious than expected and we were sharing a double capsule and there was enough room for both of us to sleep comfortably, the bathrooms take some getting used to, the female shower room is very small and you sit on a stool to shower then hop into the communal bath, there are lots of products provided, shampoos / conditioners / body wash etc, they provide towels and pajamas and slippers and locker to store some valuables and the big suitcases are kept in a secure area.

"Awful in nearly every way, PLEASE READ ME"
Here is all you need to know. -Users of the JR Pass should NOT stay here , The only way to get around is to pay money each day to and from to use a different train station. -Capsules do not have doors , Simply curtains. Obviously 1 of the 100 people on the floor is going to snore and people are going to talk , don't expect to sleep. -Cannot keep luggage near you , I expected this but also through the locker I obtained 4 floors down could accommodate 1 small backpack , not true. -Shower room is closed from 9AM - 1PM , The worst time imaginable for the SHOWER room to be closed. Also the showers are not separated , everybody showers together. Didnt bother me but maybe it will you. -Bathrooms not on same floor as capsules. -No AC in the capsules , Only stay here if you can withstand extreme heat during sleep. -I stayed with 3 other people , We had 4 capsules total. The AC plug in didnt work in 3 of the 4 capsules. -No Wifi in rooms , only downstairs lobby. This place is awful , 1 / 10 , Please do NOT stay here and look somewhere else.

We wanted to stay here because of the whole capsule experience as well as save a but on accommodation since we were only at the hotel for sleeping. "convenient low-price option"
In terms of room comfort and noise from other guests, this place was about on par with a youth hostel dorm, but with slightly more privacy. It was very clean and the staff were extremely helpful. The jacuzzi was great, but note that the bathrooms/showers are communal and can get busy if there are a lot of other people staying. My partner's suitcase was temporarily lost on the way out, but the hotel provides free toothbrushes and toiletries and sells socks, underwear and shirts, among other things, which was very useful.

"A great stay and experience!"
Stayed here for 5 nights as a couple & overall had a great stay! We stayed in a semi-double, which provides just the right amount of room to comfortably sleep two. Bedding could be changed everyday if needed and we were supplied with new pajamas, towels and slippers everyday by the freindly staff. Wi-fi was in the lounge area only but worked really well. Bathroom area was excellent too, loads of body wash, shampoo, toothbrushes and anything else you could need supplied. The mens has the addition of a sauna which the ladies doesn't, and generally we had the facilities to ourselves as it wasn't particuarly busy. Weekends at the hotel seemed generally quieter as i suspect the local business people use it for some sleep during the week. Other positive things; it is located right on Kiba metro station which will get you atound & also withing walking / short taxi distance of the fish market if you plan on going there for the auction (before the metro gets running). Overall we enjoyed out stay, facilities & the staff. For those who are light sleepers you should be aware that there is noise generated by the general comings and goings of people & if your not into the whole communual showering thing you might like to know thats the set up here. We'd stay there again for sure, a great experience.

Being the first night in Japan I was very excited to sleep in the capsule rooms. Although not as spacious or comfortable, the capsule room's bed still provided a good nights sleep. Recommended to stay here early on in your trip when you aren't so dead from your travels as you may not get a good nights sleep. Thought we would try a capsule. Pretty dreadful experience. Capsule was noisy, both from other capsules that creak severely and from flyover outside the window. Other irritation was getting ready for bed. Bed on 5th floor. Toilet on 4th floor. Bathroom on 3rd floor. Luggage in reception on 2nd floor. Up and down in the world's slowest lift to get ready for bed. Was very cheap but next time we will pay more for a low cost hotel.

"Faffy capsule hotel"
It's a capsule hotel, with all that attends: you can't keep your luggage in your room, and the lockers provided on the ground floor are not large enough to store an airline rollaboard or well-organized enough to allow you to fit enough stuff in as a traveller comfortably. Location is very close to Tokyo's excellent metro system but the area itself holds few attractions. Toilets are shared and there isn't a gender-appropriate toilet on each floor, and there's yet a separate floor for the (extremely well-appointed) baths. There are no stairs to plan to spend a lot of time waiting for the lift if you stay here any length of time. Staff English level is about good enough to check in and answer very simple queries, otherwise polite and friendly enough. If you want to stay in a capsule hotel for the fun of it stay a night or maybe two. If you're on a budget it's a fair choice, and there are plenty of English-speaking backpackers staying so you'll not be short of company.

"Great hotel, great staff & great experience!"
Hotel is close to Kiba subway exit, and is on the edge of what looked like a business park with a cafe and 7 11 near by. It is right next to a flyover but wasn't too noisy for us. Facilities are good with a table area downstairs where you can get free wifi and good shared bathroom facilities, hair dryers etc and japanese bath. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. There are lockers for luggage but we paid to get our backpacks shipped from our previous hotel to our next one as we only stayed one night for the experience. Room was clean, some marks on the radio/TV console but bedding was fine and looked like each capsule was cleaned daily regardless of whether it was empty or not. Our double capsule was of a decent size and even the single ones felt quite spacious inside. There is a roller blind which acts as the door which means that you hear everything that goes on outside your room so I would recommend earplugs if you want a lie in! Would definitely recommend the experience and was the only one we could find that allowed couples to share

"You get what you pay for"
This is a dormitory of bunk beds with partitions. There is little privacy. You cannot keep your luggage with you. It has to be downstairs in reception or a locker. The single lift between floors is frustratingly slow and there are no stairs as an alternative. On the positive side the bed is quite comfortable and the large double capsule is big enough for a couple. The onsun is also a nice bonus. It is only a very short walk from the Kiba underground station. And of course it is a fraction of the price of a Tokyo hotel. So you get what you pay for.

The staff were really nice and the location is really close to Kiba metro station, maybe a 2 minute walk. The female washing facilities weren't great - 2 showers (one of which was broken and could only wash your feet) and a jacuzzi. I never had to wait to use the one shower that was there though so either not that many women stay or I was just lucky. Apparently the men's bathroom was a lot bigger as is often the case in capsule hotels. The pod was clean and everything worked but it was pretty cosy for 2 people and I didn't sleep as well as I have in other individual capsules. There is a shared area with wifi access which was fast and free filtered water which was great.

We stayed on 15th Feb night. It was our first stay in a capsule hotel. We had booked a double bed capsule. We both are a bit overweight, so i was just hoping that its not too small. But it turned out to be a good, wide sized capsule. Size is almost of a queen size bed. There is small 14" TV inside, other things inside capsule are, radio and alarm. The best things about this hotel are location and bath. It is very very near to Kiba Metro Station. If you dont have a map, ask for Gatharia shopping complex at Kiba Station.
