I had difficulty deciding where to stay in Panglao. People had lots of bad reviews for most of the obvious choices to consider along Alona Beach, so I was apprehensive about whether I was making the right choice. After staying there for 5 nights, I am pleased that I made a good choice. First, lets talk about the location. It is not along Alona Beach […] like most of the resorts. If you want to go to Alona Beach and think you may be able to just walk from Amarela to Alona Beach – you can't. This is pretty much impossible by road (very far, busy and dusty). If you are hoping to just walk along the shore until you get there, that is impossible - it took about an hour for us to walk to the end of the beach towards Alona, where we encountered a rocky piece of land that sticks out into the ocean and separates Alona Beach from this other beach; no way around that I could see. Getting to Alona Beach can be done by asking the front desk to fetch a taxi... it costs P400 which is a bit steep, and will be billed to the room automatically so you don't have to pay the driver or worry about tip. The taxi will drop you off at Alona Beach by a place called Aquatica. For the return trip, there were no taxis waiting there; you either need to agree on a time for the taxi to pick you up again, or contact Amarela by cell phone (I hope you have one) and say you need a taxi. Just be at Aquatica so they can find you. I was annoyed at first, but in the end this all proved easy to do. Now, all the excitement seems to be with Alona Beach, so you may think this is the superior beach. If your goal is to swim in the water, Alona Beach (all of it) is lousy for that. Just a few feet from the edge of the water, the sand turns into dark areas of vegetation and coral, filled with extremely sharp sea urchins. Even at high tide, you can't get very far or deep into the water before having to deal with the urchins. I have no regrets about choosing the "AMARELA resort." Because RM condition was very good and the resort's appearance was very beautiful.. And most guests were a family, so mood was very friendly..If I go to bohole again, I would like to choose here.

We were pleasantly surprised at how beautiful the resort is. It is well-designed-- a combination of modern and antique, has lush, landscaped gardens and a tasteful showcase for Bohol art and crafts. It even has a library and extensive collection of DVDs that can be borrowed for free. Food was above average and the hotel service excellent. Had so much fun at Amarela. The staff were very helpful with everything. Superb location - quiet, beautifully landscaped, great amenities and aesthetically pleasing and relaxing. Although the road on the way to the hotel is not well maintained, the hotel staff makes up for that weakness. Kudos and definitely recommendable! Thanks!

It was absolutely on its own - no other amenities around - There was a dearth of other travellers - however if you were looking for private moments a prying staff member was always around. The breakfast (English) was awful - You could have a choice of Bacon or sausage with your egg but not both. The same went for fruit - a fruit drink or a piece of […] fruit - a request for both met a swift decline. This is a jumped up 2 star resort at best - Alona beach is km's away and I am glad we transferred there - My recommendation would be to avoid The Amerello unless you are the type that would enjoy a holiday on the moon! The hotel is situated on a white shored beach. It is made of terrace architecture where the lobby is at the top and thw rest below. I found the room to be of decent size but didn't like the twin bed I was given. Internet is by wireless only in public areas. So if you want to work from your room our skype home, that's tough. Only the room are airconditioned. […] That can be an issue in very hour seasons. The food was decent and cheap. I had a lot of cocktails but later found that the mango cocktail I was drinking was made of bottled mango juice rather than fresh (considering the location, that was my expectation). The beach was lovely but I think that the hotel should make the effort of cutting and cleaning the sea weed as it was impossible to get into the deep end. The pool was just amazing. The hotel is located very far from from the other hotels and the city. It is impossible to walk outside, the nearest village is 3-4 km away. The hotel staff do not call a taxi forcing people to stay in the hotel. The hotel is quite nice to stay, but it seems crazy to stay only in it not visiting the city. It was just a short 1 night stay but my girlfriend and myself truly enjoyed ourselves. The place was clean, set in a quiet location and good for just chilling out and spending quality time together. We had the Amarela Suite which was very spacious and comfortable. Only 2 negative instances in my mind. 1. When the staff brought us to our room upon checking […] in, we could feel that the room was really really warm and hot air was gushing out when the door was pushed open. That didn't really help when the weather was already quite hot. So the resort could probably have the aircon on prior to our arrival (since standard check in is at 2pm). 2. We did not book out return tickets back to Cebu and saw that the resort does help to reserve tickets for the ferry. But upon checking with the front desk they do not offer such service, not able to help us do online booking for our ferry tickets. We had no choice but to check out early so that we can buy our return tickets in case it runs out. All in all, we enjoyed our stay at Amarela and will definitely make a return trip next year, spending more time there with my girlfriend. Read more

飯店處於安靜的海灘， 晚上隔壁有住戶還是其他飯店會有營火晚會， 但是不會吵到飯店住客， 飯店實際外觀也比網站上面的照片漂亮多， 每間房間都有陽台， 唯一不便就是太偏遠， 出門都要靠飯店接送， 可以跟飯店訂套裝行程，價格很合哩， 值得再住，但是價格就真的高了點， 因為房間數量少，可能也為了維持品質吧。

친절한 스탭과 편안하고 안락한 분위기. 조식이 뷔페식이 아니라 그점만 빼고는 100점주고 싶은 호텔. 객실수가 적어 객실대비 직원수가 많다. 주인장이 예술가인듯 곳곳에 조각과 페인팅, 작품들이 있어 멋짐. 책한권 가지고 비치에 가서 해먹에서 잠드는 호사도 누리고 밤에 바비큐며 풀장에서 받는 마사지. 아기자기한 정원. 또 가고싶네요

服务很好，免费机场接送，前台也很热情。房间不算大，空间比较紧张，不过基础设置倒是全面。酒店环境很好，有无边泳池、私人沙滩，沙滩边有吊床和躺椅。缺点，去alona沙滩比较远，酒店叫车居然要350比索，位置比较偏僻，自己也叫不到车。所以这家酒店适合不怎么出游，在酒店度假的家庭。另外价格，跟alona附近的小型酒店比，算是很高了

Hotel con encanto, las habitaciones son acogedoras, todo muy limpio y muy cuidado, excelentes vistas, acceso directo a la playa privada, hay wifi gratuito en todas las zonas comunes del hotel, se esta muy agusto en la zona de la piscina y simplemente bajando unas escalerillas accedes a la playa. Te ofrecen excursiones como visitar otras islas en barquito, […] hacer snorkel o visitar las chocolats hill entre otros (todo super recomendado), la calidad de este hotel supera con creces en muchas ocasiones a hoteles que se supone que son de mayor nivel. Si volviese a ir a Bohol en Filipinas claramente volveria a este hotel ya que además los precios no son excesivos para todo lo que ofrece. Read more

We had a wonderful stay at Amarela. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food is excellent and there are a lot of local specialities to choose from. The beach is clean and guarded so one can really enjoy the white sand and the turquise sea feeling safe.
