This hotel was the final stop on our one-month trek thru Australia and New Zealand. It was a fine hotel with friendly people (none of whom were New Zealanders) and clean comfortable rooms. The resturant in the hotel served the best meal we had in NZ. The only negative was the location. It was a 10-15 minute walk to the main shopping and entertainment areas and inconvenient to the various bus routes. Being situated atop one of Auckland's many hills, it was a tough walk up hill at the end of the day.

The Langham is a great place to stay. They offer a free shuttle to the city center. The breakfast and lunch buffets included a large variety of delicious food.

Location.
Located in East Tamaki (South Auckland), Academy at Botany Motor Inn is close to Manukau Institute of Technology. Additional area attractions include Howick Village Saturday Market and Hunters Plaza.

In addition to an outdoor pool, Academy at Botany Motor Inn features laundry facilities.

We were surprised how little traffic noise there was from the highway so close to the rooms. Very clean and very comfortable. The staff made sure the... smallest thing was seen to and gave very helpful directions for places to eat and how to get to town. There is no 'one good location' to stay in Auckland as the motorway is like a concrete octopus. However we will definitely use Academy at Botany in future for all work visits. by Gloglo from Auckland on 05/16/13
