"Heavenly Bed~!! but small room~"
It was the best sleep in Tokyo 6-day trip~!! The mattress was pillowtop and down comforter~!! You can't find this type of bedding for this price~!! Will definitely go back and stay again. The only problem is the smell in the bathroom so you need to have the bathroom fan on all the time~ but soon will be ok. The onsen/public bath was very small but it […] was bonus in the price!! 2 station away from Tokyo Main station but not every train stops here coz it's small station. Great location!! Lawson convenience @ 1st floor and family mart is one block away~!!! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Genuine Expedia guest review
Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Genuine Expedia guest review
Genuine Expedia guest review
Genuine Expedia guest review

Very nice hotel. We planned to stay in Tokyo for 3 nights for New Year's Eve and have a real good time! In the end, we didn't want to leave anymore. The rooms are small, but everything is clean and the onsen/public bath is really nice and allows you to try a Japanese-lifestyle experience. Location very convenient, close to the Keio Line (2 stations […] away from Tokyo) and combini downstairs. Isakaya and restaurant close to the station also. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Quite a good deal"
The room is small as expected, but not a problem for me. Hotel is right next to the metro station and that is convenient. Room is clean and well equipped. If you don't plan to spend a lot of time in the room except for sleeping, this hotel is recommended at this price level (at the time I stayed)Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"APA in quiet area of Tokyo"
The hotel was very nice for the price. Cute origami was neatly laid on the bed on arrival. There is no wardrobe to put your clothes in, but just enough clothes hangers to give your nicest clothes some air. Included with the room is the traditional Japanese spa, with complimentary hygienical products from Shiseido (for use in the spa). Coin slot washing-machines […] with Japanese instructions is a bit of a gamble for your more fragile cltohings. Shiomi is a quiet area, with few shops or dining places nearby. Nice relief from an otherwise hectical Tokyo. Short walk to the JR-line. Taxi from central Tokyo (Ginza) to the hotel was about 2500 yen in the evening. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Small room but nice view"

Stayed in this hotel for three nights. The room was small but considering the location i guess the price was fair enough. It's near the station..I could use fast internet access. It's quite in the hotel and our view was seaview so we could enjoy more.
"Only good for a Disney visit"
This was our "utility" hotel, which we swapped to during our Tokyo stay in order to make it easy for our 3 day visit to the Tokyo Disney resort. After coming from a much, much better hotel located in central Tokyo (the Akasaka Excel Tokyu Hotel), this hotel was quite a letdown. Double room was VERY small and cramped for two people, but was at least clean. None of the staff encountered spoke any English, but that did not make it difficult to check in. Being in a sort of industrial area, there is VERY little nearby. There is a tiny Lawson's convenience store at the hotel, and a grocery store near the train station, but don't expect to find any restaurants or shops here. Getting to the Disney resort itself was very easy, however. The Shiomi train station is only 3 stops away from the Maihama station at the resort, about a 10 minute ride. From there you can walk to Disneyland, or get on the Monorail to get there or DisneySea. The Maihama station is also next to the large Ikspiari shopping center full of stores and restaurants, sort of like a Downtown Disney. This hotel is ONLY recommended if you are planning on spending your days at the Disney resort. Don't use this hotel for an extended stay in Tokyo otherwise. Also, the inclusion of English-translated political propaganda in the room was...unusual.
"no aircon and small"
location: near Shiomi station ~7 mins walk if you are fast not a great location if you're not a disney fan. walk like hell when you transfer at tokyo station expensive to get to shinjuku or daiba for the gundam residential area room size - so small i struggled with my luggage and packing. i ended up forgetting things in the room you can hear people next door as they open or close their door temperature control: no aircon in room. i;m staying here during winter (7-14 degree celcius outside) friend and i stayed in single rooms and it was so hot we couldn';t catch a wink of sleep the hotel staff said nothing can be done and i have to open the windows after i opened the windows, it got worse as it is extremely noisy outside in the end, i opened the fridge, switched off all lights and appliances to get few minutes of sleep. private toilet: it was the smallest toilet i have seen in japan and worst of all, it stinks, and the temparature of water can never be controlled. it;s the old kind of control where u have to turn a left knob for hot water and right knob for cold water. it was so extreme it nearly froze or cooked me. i'm only in my 20s and i cannot imagine what would've happened to an old grandma/grandpa using this hotel. TV: 32 inches with a variety of channels, generate so much heat amenities: no bottled water. flash was DIRTY, so dirty i didn't want to use it coin operated laundry: the most expensive one i have seen in japan. JPY 300 to wash clothes public bath: good if you are not shy as it is a custom that everyone is naked in japanese public bath hotel staff terrible, does not ship your luggage to airport. does not understand english. had to drag my luggages to the nearest post office.
"small rooms for disneyland visitors"
12/05/13 fortysomethingmale Tokyo, Japan
upon arrival, i noticed that their parking facility is not complimentary and if you park even a minute before checking in time you will be charged extra. checking in was efficient but you need to get your key cards from a machine. why bother checking in with a human being if they are going to send you to a machine ? the room... for the price i paid i would normally expect something slightly larger even in tokyo. i've deduced that this hotel survives purely on tokyo disneyland visitors from outside tokyo. their japanese style big bath was worth a visit although some poor maintenance were spotted. they have in-house convenience store which is handy. checking out was smooth. the important question. will i return. i'm afraid not. i think i can find better rooms for their price rate near by.
"Good value for money"

One can get easily overwhelmed with the number of options available in the Tokyo area. I chose this property primarily because I thought it was accessible to Tokyo Big Sight. It is, somehow, in that it is about three train stops away (involves one transfer though). The Keiyo Line station for this hotel is Shiomi. It's the third stop from the Tokyo Station, but that takes about 8 minutes. Also, the transfer in the Tokyo Station to the Keiyo Line is about 700m perhaps (best estimate, I think). But there's a Keiyo Street inside the Tokyo Station and its lined up with stores selling unique items (there's also a more popular Uniqlo store). One key take away here is be prepared to walk. Anywhere in Tokyo for that matter, but particularly for this hotel. And be prepared to spend time on the train, or inside the station, or transferring trains. You can save money by staying in this hotel, but the trade off is the time because you use up time dealing with the walking, transferring, etc. etc. You have to ask yourself, is it worth it? In my case, I'm not entirely sure. At any rate, what I like about this property is that there's a convenience store just outside the entrance of the hotel, and there's a bigger grocery selling fresh fruits, meats, vegetables, etc. and other stuff such as frozen meals that can be heated up in the store's microwave oven.
"Ideal Tokyo Hotel"
09/03/13 Arran C Cardiff, United Kingdom
Just around the corner from Shiomi Station, this hotel is ideal for a visit to Tokyo. We stayed here for four nights in May 2013 and it was a great location for visiting Disneyland and sights in Tokyo. Tokyo is such a large city its impossible to stay somewhere central in order to be close to ALL the sights. The rooms were small but its to be expected in Tokyo and were nice, clean and had a fridge. As is common place in Japan, the toilets were awesome with all their buttons and what not. We got this hotel for a great price and even if it was pricier, it still would have been worth it. The staff were very helpful and despite my partner being allergic to feathers and them having no non-feather bedding available, it worked out fine. It was perhaps our own fault as we hadn't contacted them before hand to arrange alternatives. On the last night however, we had a phone call from the front desk at about 1am, telling us to turn off the TV or keep the noise down. At the time, we were fast asleep and we were quite annoyed by the fact they didn't come up to the floor where this alleged complaint came from to check if it was us who was making the noise before disturbing us at that time of night. I was really impressed with this hotel and the last night mishap wasn't enough to put a downer on our stay. Am going back to Japan in December and would consider this hotel again.

"Little touches of luxury for a bargain"
06/01/13 mexo London
The hotel cost £55 per night for 2. It's got a big, glossy foyer teaming with polite and helpful staff, spotless rooms with freshly laundered kimonos and slippers, bottles of water and piles of toothbrushes, toothpaste, brushes and razors that are all replenished daily and 2 little origami cranes placed on each of the 2 double beds. There isn't much room to move around once you've got a couple of cases in and the bathroom is tiny, but that's expected in Tokyo at this price. Best of all the hotel has an onsen. You first of all go into a communal (single sex) changing room. You leave all your stuff in a basket - not a locker, though it felt like there would be no question of anyone taking anything. Then you go into the bathing area, where you have to sit on on of many low stools in a cubicle with a hand held shower and a washing up bowl. You have to pour water over yourself with the bowl and use the shower and soap to wash thoroughly before going into the baths. the first one is the size of a small swimming pool with a bubbly jacuzzi bit in the middle. It's steaming hot - even for girls. The other 2 baths are through a glass door on a balcony with a tall wooden screen. So you are outside looking up at the sky. They are for one person and are made of earthenware. The water is filled to the brim and sloshes over the edge, refilled constantly from a trickling chute. Out of all the hotels we stayed in around Japan, this was the only one to have this facility free to guests, large and nicely designed. The hotel is nearer to central Tokyo than I expected and the train station is a 5 minute walk away. The line goes to Tokyo station itself, which is a hub for several other lines. It never felt like an arduous journey after a day out or dinner. There is a large supermarket at the station and a Lawson at the hotel. On our first night we were tired so just want a simple, local dinner. There isn't that much around there, but we found a cheap noodle place 2 minutes walk away. The location is the downside, but it's not a huge issue and the hotel makes up for it. In fact, they seem to try a bit harder because of that, with the little extras mentioned above.
"Good location, avoid a triple room"
05/22/13 blong526 Edmonton, Canada
We stayed a few nights and the location was great for exploring Tokyo and Disneyland. As others have said, the room is small but very clean and well appointed. Internet was free and fast. Staff was helpful but English was not a strong point. Laundry is in the change room of the spa. 300 for wash and 100 for a short dry. You need to add your own soap! There are no English instructions so that was a bit challenging. Many business men stay here and the mornings are full of men in yukata (bathrobes) riding the elevators back and forth from the bath. We turned on the fan thing in the room and thus did not hear any hallway noise. Beds were very comfortable. Pillows were Japanese style which is not a favorite of mine. We made the mistake of choosing a triple room. It turns out it is a twin room with a cot squeezed in between the 2 twin beds (and I mean squeezed tightly!). And you thought the room was small before!! Absolutely no room for 3 people to move about or put luggage. Worst part was, it cost nearly twice what the twin room did. We would have been far better off to get two twin rooms for only 1000 yen more a night!
"I would always consider this in Tokyo"
04/19/13 Roberto D Kent, England, United Kingdom
I have stayed here two years running, both times for periods of about 1 week. The rooms are a little small by Western standards, but spotlessly clean. The Ofuro on the 2nd floor is something that sets the hotel apart from the usual business class hotel, and is a great way to relax after a hard day in Tokyo. The Keiyo line is just outside and three stops later you are in Tokyo station. Good location by any means. I purchase my breakfast at As Leaf or similar in Tokyo station as the 1600 Yen a head for the hotel breakfast is too steep. Yes, I will return to this hotel. Friendly staff, perhaps in need of more English for travellers. Maihama is a few stops away therefore this place is great for Disneyland travellers.
