A&EM Corp - Royal Palace Hotel - Ho Chi Minh City

Hotel was great, breakfast buffet was great (mostly vietnamese), and location was great. Service was hit and miss. Some employees are great and some are not so great. Overall, we had a good stay and will come back.

It was our first time in Vietnam and from the photos we saw, we thought A&EM corp looked quite nice for its price so that's why we decided to stay there. The room was small which was expected, but the facilities needed upgrading. The mini safe that was provided in the room wasn't safe to use as it was not bolted down. The shower only ran cold water. […] Renovations were taking place down the corridor from our room and we were not notified and the smell of the paint or solvents they were using was unbearable so we had to request to change rooms. Power cut a couple of times. Buffet breakfast didn't have much to choose from. Staff spoke very little English. The worst of all, we had a foot massage at their massage room which was actually really nice and clean. The massage was great, but at the end, after we have paid for the massages, the staff asked us for a tip! My husband, usually very generous gave them each $5US (which i think was more than enough) but they were not happy with the amount, so he gave them each a couple of dollars more. By that time, I was pretty angry and felt ripped off. We won't be staying there again that's for sure! Read more

Welcomed by the stalf with friendly attitudes this hotelis close to most of all attractions I feel this hotel is beetter than a 3star hotel and better. Value than some 4/5 star hotels I will be back at this hotel again soon Breakfast is a good start each day I was very happy with that

I stayed here for 3 nights. My room was at the 11th floor. I will need to climb a flight a stair after the lift on the 10th floor. No complain, as I had requested to have good view. In the afternoon, there is some noise from the renovation on the 10th floor, so if you are taking a nap in the afternoon, it is difficult to get a good rest. Won't recommend this hotel. Very poor service and after having prepaid booking via Hotel.com they still insist on holding on to our passport until check out and insisted that only Expedia bookings are prepaid and not the rest and wanted payment for the stay. Staff was rude and unprofessional

The location was very central, some places of interest could be viewed by foot. Staff friendly and helpful and hotel room good. Unfortunately, due to the location, it was a bit noisy. However, I would highly recommend this hotel for someone who would stay a couple of days in Saigon for sight seeing.

The location is within a short walking distance to Ben Thanh Market. However, things eg. tour package and dining here are more expensive. A suggestion of place would be the backpackers street. The only good thing of this hotel is close to the Ben-thanh market, close by many sights... But nightmare is.... They re-use the amenities in the room... Shampoo, conditioners... And SHOWER CAP! Greats - Great location - Great value - Great staff assistance - Great local food Not so Great - Not too comfortable finishings. Hotel was located 5 mins walk away from ben tham market. Wifi was free and its a plus point that every room comes equip with a personal computer. however, front line service staff could be improved, rarely do you see them smile .

Very new hotel so it is clean and rooms are not smelly. Good location. You can get access to all restaurants and markets, day or night. Be aware that you have to hand in your passport (very bad habit) until you leave. So make a copy beforehand. Besides that enjoy your holidays. Cabs run on meters so just grab one to go anywhere.

観光地からとても近く便利な場所でした。 特にベンタイン市場とナイトマーケットが近いので、夜出歩いても、ホテルが近いので、すぐ帰って来れ、安全だと思いました。 チェックインの時、パスポートを預かられた時は、不安でしたが、チェックアウトの時に、ちゃんと返してくれたし、逆に預かってもらっていたから、観光地を歩く際に怖い思いもしなくてよかったなと思いました。 朝食もベトナム料理とパンなどの洋食もあり、1日おきぐらいにメニューを変えていて、満足でした。 部屋は、女の子にとっては、大満足だと思います。バスルームも部屋も白を貴重とした、ちょっとヨーロッパ風でかわいかったです。ミニボトルの水が2本毎日無料でもらえたのもよかった。 またここに泊まりたいです。

I had chosen this hotel taking hotels.com customer's rating into account. and such rating has never dissapointed me like this time, and never will. First of all, i made reservation for a twin room. However they only had a double room. Therefore, they said they will install an extrabed instead, but any staff with the extra bed never showed up. Second, […] i asked them to wake me up at 5 am next morning, but they failed to make any wakeup call. when i came down to the lobby floor, i could find out that they were way too asleep for any wakeup call for guests. Third, upon checkingout, they insisted that i have to pay for the room although i already did through hotels.com. they insisted that hotels.com is only about reservation, not about payment. My explanation to the contrary and voucher did not work at all for them. Only after a long while, they found some document from hotels.com and let me go. If it had not been my strong complaint, they wouldn't have bothered to look through such documents. If so, i would have had to pay it again since they kept my passport. Fourth, even from the very beginning, they asked me if i wanted any prostitute, which was very disturbing. I think this hotel has to be banned from hotels.com for good, considering such circumcetances above. Read more
