The bathroom was dirty and unfinished. A previous guest's wash cloth was drying on the shower curtain rod. There wasn't any other place to hang a towel other than the rod. (seems like someone was trying to break in, or something) So, I asked them to get me another room with locking door. When I got to my next room I found that the bathtub wasn't cleaned at all. There were people blasting music from their trucks in the parking lot and drinking. We arrive at 12:00 noon and couldn't check in until 3:00 p.m. Our room was located on the back near the fire escape, which was "our balcony" out side of the main door. This "balcony" was a long string of steps in between two walls in an alley.The carpet was dirty as […] we walked to our room. We saw signs directing us to our room showing us where the ice machine and soda machine was located. The ice machine was not working and the soda machine was not there. As we entered the room it was clean. There was the red heart shaped tub. The was no refrigerator or microwave. The t.v. was very old and no cable just 4 basic channels and they would blank out from time to time. The lighting in the room was horrible. The best lights were in the bathroom. The jetted tub was located in the section of the beds. There was a lamp in between two queen size beds with a 20 watts bulb. The hotel was in a good location and was not totally awful. When we got there we waited a long time to check in. First there were no rooms ready then the person in charge of checking rooms before we could go in went to lunch and the girl was not sure when she was going to return. I asked for a hair dryer, iron, and iron board and was told they would […] have to bring them to me..3 hours later i go back to ask again and she told me the items were coming. Another hour and I went back to be told that they were again on there way. So the items were brought to my room and as I explained that the remote did not work for the t.v. I was told that the t.v. was a replacement and the remote doesn't work. I told him the lamp did not work and he did nothing about that. Then I told him the bed was broke because when you sat on the edge it went to the floor. I was told that if I got bored that I could sit on one end and my daughter could sit on the other and we could play seesaw!! Even though the location was good I will never stay there again... They advertised an indoor pool. It was next door in another hotel and was closed at the time. The place really needed work. Loose plaster on the ceiling; no toilet tissue holder and one bed was loose on it's frame.

We arrived at 245pm and could not check in - we had to wait til 3pm exactly. Several people were there waiting to check in all at the same time while 1 person waited on everyone and the other one sat there. The room door had to be lifted to close it. The deadbolt was broken and the chain lock had one screw out of the wall. My 9 yr old could not even […] shut the door. The light over the sink did not work. There are 14 channels. The indoor pool is at the "sister" hotel next door and the ice machine was broke so we had to walk to hotel next door for that also. Toilet paper was stuffed in corner of a window as caulk. Shower did not drain - was more than ankle deep when done showering. Floor in bathroom had patch job. The ceiling had paint peeling and chipping away. There was no phone in the room. The hotel was centrally located and in walking distance of the falls. The staff was helpful and pleasant. The hotel itself is old and in need of a few updates. While there we had to walk over to the sister hotel to obtain ice, being that this locations machine was down.

location was on outskirts, our room was on first floor - no dead bolt - just son and I - propped door with chair for security concerns - bathrooms were dirty - paint peeling - staff was not mature or attentive - pool was nice but in other building - overall - would not go again - but like story says - you get what you pay for.

This was the worst dive I've ever seen. The ceiling paint was, literally, falling down constantly. The ceiling was in disrepair right over our heads in bed. The shower clogged. By the time I finished my shower, water was above my ankles. Flooring was missing in the bathroom and the sink had been painted, but not cleaned. I had to ask the cleaning lady […] to vacuum the paint chips and wash out the shower. We came back to paint chips. The ice machine was broken, and we were sent to the motel to retrieve some. I stayed there one night. People in my next room made a noise at 2 to 4 o'clock in the morning but hotel staff didn't care. The room didn't even have phone. It qas terrible night. I didn't notice parking fee 10$ is extra.

I read many of the previous reviews but thought for the price I'd take the chance. Wrong decison. Like many others said, stained sheets, dirty floors, etc. But the topper for us was when we found another suitcase in the room and clothes and toiletries already in the drawers. They actually checked us into another person's room! Love the security here. […] I could have had a nice HP notebook. The rooms smell like cigar, the showers are in need of being upgraded, the door knob was not fully attached, the carpet in the upstairs hallway was stained beyond words.Checked in at run down office, by people who did not care in the hotel (should be called a motel). Room was awful. Bed sheets felt like […] paper, and the comforter was about as this as paper. Exposed rafters, with paint peeling off walls. Room had no cups, just ice bucket, and towels were sitting on table next to sink because there was no towel rack or rod to hang it. Bathroom was gross. I went to office to get a refund, and the manager (the only person who could issue a refund) was unavailable. And he couldn't be contacted. And they didn't know when he was coming back. So I called Hotels.com, and they were very friendly and helpful. They tried calling the Fallsview Lodge office to get the refund approved, and no one picked up. And their voicemail was full. Two days later, Hotels.com tried to call them again, and they were unavailable again. They have sent my refund request to the Hotels.com financial office, who will continue to try to contact the hotel. Don't stay here. Stay across the street at the Travelodge. Same prices, much nicer rooms and staff! Read more
