Old, worn down and surely not what you expect after having seen the pictures online. - looks like a project that ran out of money or a "resort" on the brink of bankruptcy! (May well not be, but it looks so) - However, we stayed for a few nights the location and beach is obviously good and front desk personnel smiling and service minded!

Hotel is not maintained. Huge hotel but not maintained. Wifi poor and only works in dining area. Old hotel but not properly maintained . Coffee and other beverages if u wake up early is not available. Have to wait 630am when they open. Aircon is not enough for a huge room have to ask for fun. Towels are really old. But friendly staff. Just the hotel is not maintained

Don't waste your money! About the only thing good with this hotel is the location on white beach. I paid for a deluxe poolside room, but we were given a room that was adjacent to an alley. The room was filthy - the toilet seat has about 1/4 inch of dirt/dust on it when we arrived, the towels had holes and stains on them. The "extra" bed we paid for consisted of a mattress on the floor. We had to ask for more toilet paper and never had clean towels brought to us when they "cleaned" the room. We were happy that the air conditioning and tv worked, however the phone did not. We were also happy we had consistent hot water as I overheard other guests complaining that they were out of hot water for several days. Upon check in, I had to provide 3,000 pesos for incidentals which is quite common, however upon check out they advised that they had no record of receiving the money and were not only not going to give our money back, but also wanted us to pay for a few charges that we had charged to the room. Ultimately, after a bit of arguing we did get some of our money back. While the hotel restaurant had a beautiful view of the ocean and quite a number of choices on the menu, only two of the numerous items on the menu were actually available to order. We had a good trip because we didn't let the condition of the hotel put a damper on our vacation, Boracay is a beautiful place to visit...however... We will NEVER stay at this hotel again!

Beachfront and on the quiet side of Station 2 but this hotel had seen better days. There are many new hotels nearby with more pleasant atmosphere for much less then what we paid for.

During my check in i was not aware the hillside rooms, as we go to the rooms it was too far from the entrance and because of that we need ro upgrade our room near the poolside/entance and have additional of php 10,000. And our total for the hotel is php 35,000 and we can't used the pool because it's not that good. One thing theirs no cabanas infront, i' very dissapointed about that but the hotel staff are very accomodating.

We had our room at the beach front. Occupied one of the rooms on the 3rd level. We had a great view of the beach. The room was clean and beautiful The price was affordable. There was no algae on the beach front and did not see the beach get crowded compared to Station 2. If we want a quiet and relax time, we just stay at the resort. If we want to experience the party mode, we just walk towards station 2. We think this is the best time to go to Boracay before summer. We will surely go back again next year and stay longer.

Hotel is just north of Willy's Rock in Station 1 but close enough to the nightlife at Station 2. Beach is great outside hotel. Small adequate beach bar. Food can be limited during breakfast but their dinner bbq grills are delicious. Overall a pleasing stay at a good location on Station 1.

I booked this hotel as it is on the beach and looks fairly decent. Upon arrival I was told they overbooked and could not put us in the room we had paid for. Instead we were put in an apartment that was located off the hotel property - it was necessary to take a cart just to get there, then upon arrival we found we had to share the apartment with others! We only had a room to lock off but all amenities were in the living room which was shared. We asked for a different room or a refund and they would do neither so we stayed. There was no hot water, no television, their credit card machine would not work and the staff was very rude about the fact that we were unhappy. When we went to go to dinner that evening we walked out to where the 24hour security guard was stationed to call us the cart - he was no where to be found and there was no way to call the front desk. So we had to walk along an unlit path that is unpaved about a mile just to get to the main resort. When we returned we asked again for the cart to take us since it since it was too dark and muddy. The guard was drunk so they waved down a local motorcycle taxi. He could only take us part way as the road was too steep so we again had to walk through the dark.

Not booking here again. Staff were not friendly, doesn't know how to converse. Doesnt answer room service phone. Furniture are probably older than most of us. Food is terrible for health conscious people. Rude staff. The bathroom smelled like pee when I first entered. Sheets had a piece of hair. Booked a non-smoking room with double beds. We had no choice but to take the one that smelled like cigarettes with a king size bed. Horrible!!!!!

i suggest get the rooms near beach front because they maintain it better than those on the hillside. the location is perfect. a cheap 10 peso ride going to station 2. the perfect beach front. its not as bad as what most people say in their review. just choose the rooms near the front of the hotel. its under rated. this is way better than those hotels from station 2 and 3.

We were booked initially for a poolside garden room, but when I called to confirm, I was informed that we were upgraded to the residential suite. Upon asking, we were told that this was located far away from the beachfront, that we had to take a 1minute ride in a golf car. We told them that we paid for the poolside area (which was near the beach, just on the other side of the road) for convenience, and that although it was an upgrade, we don't want it. we were told that the rooms in which we were supposed to stay were already fully booked, so that's when we became irate. first of all, we booked almost 2 months in advance so that room was supposed to be saved/reserved for us no matter what. why do they have to bump us out of there? they said there was a problem with the manila office reservations, etc. So we demanded to be immediately transferred to an available poolside room once there is one. Unluckily, we still stayed in the residential suite for 1 night, and even if it was supposed to be more expensive, it just doesn't look like it. Everything was placed wrong, the mirror in the bathroom which was the one and only mirror in the room, the shower curtain, the toilet, the towel rack, the TV, everything! Plus it was so far away, you have to climb up a steep hill. So overall, what we paid for just wasn't worth it. We paid almost PHP8,000 each for nothing.

We stayed here for 5 days.. the first day check-in was 8pm, no welcome drinks or cold towel (it was stated in the service provided). However we enjoy the silent of the location compare to station 2 and station 3. Everything is old in the room, the furnitures, the tv and we had to ask for hot water boiler. One thing that we are not happy is the queen size bed actually is the combination of 2 single bed and the bed sheet was old and thorn.

That was one bad experience in one of the nicest places (Boracay) I have visited around the world. This, probably in its “golden age” (when was built, maybe 25 years ago) good hotel needs good reconstruction, replacing old drapes and painting rooms. And don’t to forget replacing balcony chairs which (one of two) at the first use was broken and I was lucky was not bad injured. Air condition unit was noisy from the first moment – like running tractor in the room until was complete broken and we (my wife and I) were moved to other room, which was much better and we were explained it is charged at the higher rate but we were not charged for the last 2 of 7 days we have spent in this hotel. Bright side was very kind staff at the reception desk, housekeeping and in the restaurant. Hotel is on the great location, close to the beautiful beach and the restaurant by the beach with good choice of food by affordable prices. Definitely place (Boracay) to come again one day but not in this hotel.

The pictures is 20 years old, the hotel i is in very bad condision. We got 2 hours massag at the spa. The spa area was so disgusting, that we got the massage at our room, the area looks like it have been hit by a storm, an then never clean ore been taking into use again afterwards. We had a meating whit the general manager, to asked him if the hotel were going to close. We got a compensation for all the things we not was satified with. The hotel is locatede at one ofe the absolut to places at the beach at Boracay, and thats saved our stay.

The pictures in the website were probably taken many many years ago. A few rooms have been renovated but the common areas need an urgent upgrade. It looks like there is no regular maintenance and anyone can see things getting old and runed. It is really a shame since the location of the hotel is perfect. In the right place in Boracay at Station 1. Even the beach at this area is clean and the water clear. Would really say this as a constructive feed-back to the owners of the hotel since I will likely go back to Boracay and wouldn't mind staying at the Pearl, provided it's renovated.

We booked this hotel as there web site looked amazing , great rooms and amenities. But on arrival it was a huge disappointment hotel was in bad need of maintaince , rooms very bad, bathroom so small, no hot water, Ac never worked our over all expirence was not worth the price

We stayed in a two bed suite. It is more like a 2 bedroom apartment. Beautifully designed and new. Showers are awful with no hot water. View is great with balcony although we got the room facing the hills and not the beach. This part of the hotel seems like a new extention and requires a golf buggy to take you from reception to your room. This service is available throughout the day and night and also takes you to the breakfast area which is just on the beach at Station one. Location is good except for having to take a golf buggy. Service isnt too good. Forgetting to do housekeeping and no phone in room to call reception for things. Reception promise to bring things but never comes. Bit disorganised

Albergo in buona posizione ma con servizio pessimo e con manutenzione del tutto inadeguata. Personale con atteggiamento assente. La sensazione è che manchi un direttore dell'hotel. Tutto lasciato a se stesso. La nostra stanza era grande e con una bella vista sulla spiaggia ma le note positive finiscono qui. La tazza del water era rotta, un condizionatore rotto, le finestre arrugginite non si chiudevano del tutto. Catering molto deludente. E tutto ciò a un prezzo molto elevato, nonostante l'alta stagione. Hotel assolutamente da evitare.

풀사이드 룸에서 3일을 지냈습니다. 개인적으로 복잡한곳보다는 조용하고 아늑한 곳을 선호하기 때문에 스테이션1 위쪽에 위치한 리조트 위치가 아주 마음에 들었습니다. 디몰까지는 걸어서 15분정도 걸렸습니다. 객실 시설과 가구는 조금 오래된 느낌이었지만 청결했고 화장실에 아무것도 없었다는 후기와 달리 샴푸, 바디워시, 바디로션이 비치되어 있었습니다. 조식은 종류가 다양하지는 않지만 먹을만 했습니다. 다만 힐사이드룸의 경우 2~3층정도의 계단을 걸어올라가야 하고 거리도 멀어서 별로 묵고싶어보이지 않았습니다.

de locatie is perfect gelegen aan het strand...vriendelijk en gastvrij personeel . Ze spreken goed engels...s'vonds is het gezellig in heel veel tentjes is live muziek. Een min puntje van het hotel qualiteit en variatie van de maaltijden is onvoeldoende.Maar gellukig zijn er goede restaurants in de buurt die een redelijke prijs handhaven.

我跟男朋友一起到BORACAY玩, 晚上8時半CHECK IN, 有WELCOME DRINK。有MAILBOY幫我地拎行李,我地亦自覺比左50PHP TIPS。我地住MAINROAD 後一PART近RECEPTION的房(不用上山), 位置很好。入到房間感覺不錯,清潔的。但要改善的地方是要裝修設備了, 因為都好殘舊, 例如花灑。沖浪水很冷,但試過下午三點幾沖過有過熱水, 因知道菲律賓供應熱水情況差不多,所以沒有追究。冷氣同電視是SAMSUNG的,不錯的!!早餐方面不要期待太高,但都不錯(專人炒蛋好吃)。

3泊4日で宿泊しましたが、申し込んだ写真の部屋が当日の部屋と違いました。 また、チェックインの際、予約していた部屋はありませんと告げられ、 パソコンのメールをもう一度確認してと言われました、 長旅で疲れ、ようやく到着したのにほんとに気分が悪かったです。 また部屋には歯ブラシがなく、買いに行く羽目になりました。 ドライヤーもなかったですね。 ホテル予約の際アメニティの確認はしていなかったのですが、当然あるものと考えていました。 なんせここのリゾートでは比較的金額が高く、老舗ですから! 従業員の態度は、フロントの方が対応が良くなかったと感じました、他の外国人も直接苦情を 大声で言ったいました。 しかし荷物も運ぶ方はとても良い印象でした。 部屋も適当に清掃されている感じがしました。 総合的にはもっと金額とサービスのつりあったホテルが他にあるのではと思いますので、 ここのホテルはおすすめしません。 他のレビューの方の意見も参考にされてください。 私は予約した後レビューを見たので残念でした。

Хорошо, что я проигнорировал плохие отзывы. Может быть нам, конечно, просто повезло, но у нас был замечательный (за 100$/ночь относительно других вариантов за эти деньги) большой чистый номер вдали от шума дороги. Комната №210. Убирались каждый день, персонал очень обходительный, все улыбаются и пытаются помочь, официантки двигали лежаки и стояли поблизости на пляже, чтобы в любой момент принять заказ на стаканчик кубалибре за 100рублей. Идеальнейшее расположение для Боракая. Пляж самый лучший относительно других отелей на побережье. Про 2ую и 3ью станцию я вообще не говорю - проходной двор и помойка. Но даже на 1ой станции в соседних отелях пляж более узкий и гораздо больше водорослей. У нас же всегда был белый песочек и прозрачная вода. Куча зонтиков, бар на пляже, вечером неплохой ресторан с кальянами на пляже в романтической обстановке (относительно забитых дорогущих грязных баров на 2ой станции). Народу никого, никто не ходит перед носом, как на других станциях. а вечером за 5 минут по пляжу можно дойти до тусовки на 2ой станции. В общем за эти деньги в принципе лучшее место. Но если даже рассматривать более дорогие отели с более хорошими номерами, я бы выбрал этот из-за расположения.

더블베드 2개를 요청했는데 싱글 베드 2개에 간이 베드 2개 그 중 간이 베드 하나는 상태가 메롱.ㅠ 샤워기 또한 부서진 상태여서 이것저것 체크를 해주길 원함. 그치만 화이트 비치에서 가까워 물에서 놀기도 좋고 이것저것 맘에 들었어여

fantastisk sted. egen strand i paradis. hele boracay er ikke finpudset vestlig stil men det here er meget native og orginalt. hotellet udnytter boracay perfekt. god mad og perfekt placering. rummene er store men det er ikke finpudset hotel som vi kender fra spanien. der var aircondition og wifi og super venligt personlae

Pearl of the Pacific used to be one of our favorite hotels in Boracay. We have stayed at this resort since the early 90's (back when the rooms are still made of bamboo). We even had our honeymoon there. We like their beachfront since it's less congested. This year, we decided to book at their hotel...big mistake! 1. We requested for an early check-in since we have an early flight to boracay. I also requested for 2 first floor rooms since we have senior citizens in our group. A week before leaving for boracay, we called their Manila office to remind them of my request and I was assured both were already taken cared of. Upon arrival (8 am), we were told to wait since check-in is at 2 pm. We were also told that we are assigned to 1 first floor room and 1 second floor room. I told the receptionist about the requests we made at their Manila office and she said that they weren't informed. I tried calling their Manila office but I could not reach them. I also sent text messages and email but I didn't get a single reply. 2. The rooms were big disappointments. 1 room had a bad smell, busted bulb, broken toilet fixture. The surroundings are not cleaned regularly. The water in the pool is very dirty as well. Looking at the hotel's surroundings, it's very obvious that the hotel is poorly maintained. It looked dilapilated. The bridge connecting the beachfront facility to the poolside rooms is in danger of collapsing (it shakes when you walk). It is with a heavy heart that I wrote this review since this hotel used to be my favorite in Boracay but I feel I owe it to the tripadvisor readers/comunity to give my honest opinion about this hotel. I really hope the owner renovates this hotel or sell it to someone who would maintain it properly and restore it to it's former glory. For now, I wouldn't recommend this to any of my friends and relatives. Just book at the newer hotels and go to the beachfront of Pearl of the Pacific for a swim.

Rooms have power key cards and yet it is used on multiple rooms. Staff leave cartons/dummy cards on the slots since some were lost and not replaced. One staff entered our room around midnight while we were sleeping w 3 CHILDREN inside and took the card. Of course, power went off! When we called the lobby, staff came back and said they took the key thinking no one was inside! Who could believe that?!

We booked 6 months before our travel date, 4 nights accomodation in beach view and transfer. The day before our travel date they call us to confirm the time of arrival. But when we arrive in kalibo no representative of hotel, no one to pick us up!!! I called the office in Manila and said that they will call boracay office after a few minutes I call back again but they turned off their phone!!! I then call the boracay hotel and told me to pay for the transfer first then they will refund it in the hotel. Aircon is very hot during daytime especially in the afternoon, we ask them to fix it for 3 times but nothing happens. IF YOU WANT TO RUIN YOUR VACATION STAY IN PEARL OF THE PACIFIC BORACAY. WORST HOTEL I'VE STAYED.

I had to book a hotel near a resort along Beach Station1 to attend a Summer wedding. I chose this hotel because of its proximity to the wedding venue. I have seen how deteriorated the facilities were before but I was surprised to see how it has gone from bad to worse! -A Glimmer of Hope?- I had the hotel pickup service fetch us from the Caticlan AIrport. The price was reasonable since I brought our 8 month old with us (P1,100 Roundtrip fares (each)to the island and back to Caticlan AIrport) The staff assigned to pick us up was Ray. He was very courteous and friendly and my family had a fun time discussing with Ray as he was knowledgeable with evrything Boracay had to offer. I thought to myself that maybe the hotel has improved? Lo and behold! After he dropped us off, I talked to the frontdesk, I was surprised that they weren't informed of my reservation 8 Months ago! I had to stay in another room which was situated at the back of the resort where the forest and insects meets the furniture and door of our room! The furniture and ambience really felt like we were staying in a 2 star hotel not a 4 or 5 star resort as they were years ago. What made me scream was when they said they were going to charge us P1,350 for the extra bed we need for our daughter's nanny. I asked for a discount since they already booked us at a room we specified. which I had to haggle the price with their HR officer... There was this one time that I asked for the Philippine Airlines office location and the guy at the frontdesk said that he doesn't know since he was just recently promoted from Housekeeping! Hahaha

Bad quality rooms, really disappointing breakfast and staff barely speaks English although they pretend they understand. There is no internet in the room and the bed was so old my back hurt after one night so I had to demand to change the matrace.

Upon requesting a 4 star hotel from the travel agent, Pearl of the Pacific was suggested to us. I researched and looked at available photos which were nice online... But only online. When me and my family arrived I was instantly shocked. Quoting in my head "this can't be the same hotel I saw online!" There was nothing 4star about it. The hotel looked RUN DOWN. We arrived at 1.30pm... 30mins before check In... Only one room out of the three was ready for occupancy. Front desk staff said if it was possible if we could wait until 2.30pm for the other rooms. We thought ok fine. During this time we could then look at how this hotel was in total need of a renovation. It wasn't being taken care of. The water fountains had no water... The walk bridge from one side of the road to the beachside I would have rather risked crossing the busy road below. None of the staff had uniforms and they all seemed to be doing all the jobs. The tables wobbled and the pool looked as though it had not been entered in a very long time. There was no way I would have gone into it. I'm sure the was another life form inside the pool. Finally the other rooms was available at 3.30pm!! Over an hour and a half after check in. The first room that was available was disappointing there was sand in the bed, and stains on the pillows. Management was called and was asked would they stay in a room in that state. All answered "No". The bed was then stripped and remade. The rooms that was originally booked was stated as "deluxe room with poolside view"... Not deluxe and yes it was a view of a pool but do not go into it. The restaurant was nice. Located right next to the amazing beach. Breakfast was included in our stay. This was limited but nice. Beach lounger were available free to people staying at the hotel. One of our days we ordered lunch but the timing couldn't be more off. We ordered chicken wings and fries and the fries arrived after all the food was finished. It's seems as though one person was cooking and prepping all the food. We chose to get an activity from one of the hotel activity guys (dune Buggy) advertised as activity lasting an hour. Do not be deceived! We paid 1500php for two people per buggy. We went to the main area where the activity where we was told that the actual drive was 30mins and the other 30 mins was climbing to a view point for an extra 120php!! Was not impressed as this was not told to us when we first decided to do this. After everything we made the most of the beautiful beach and sunset and some amazing restaurants along the beach. Would not be staying here again.

The whole place needs a major renovation. Especially their hilltop rooms..too bad the location is nice since they have beach front rooms. We even experienced a blackout on our 1st night and bugs came out of the ceiling. They do have accommodating staff but they were not able to provide us an electric kettle that we had to request for how many times.

Most beautiful beach front in Boracay. Nice rooms, reasonable rate, good food, great staff who were very accomodating and looks like work for improvement is on it's way. Overall stay was great. Will definitely come back in Pearl of the Pacific.

This place was a total dump. Everything is broken and old. You have to cross the street to get to beach. The pools are gross and dried up. For the same price you can stay at a nice hotel down the beach.

The hotel name "Pearl of the Orient" sounds like a paradise already but.... It will turn your vacation dreams to a NIGHTMARE. LeT me start it with our expectations based on the images on their website and travel sites, everything looks perfect but in reality everything is old and poorly maintained. There are spider webs everywhere, roofs are falling apart, buckets on the floor to catch the water leaks, decors are covered with dust and landscape is NOT manicured. Those are the things that will welcome you. We're trying to keep the positive vibe so we won't ruin our vacation but when they escorted us to our room you will need to take at least 200 steps with no elevator and it is the creepiest thing ever. We immediately told the front desk that we rather pay extra over than getting abducted so they offer the oceanfront room for $125 extra per night. They were a little generous or maybe embarrassed and gave us a tiny discount. After paying that upgrade we were expecting to received a 5 star service but then again were wrong :( I'm not sure if they check the room but it is FILTHY . Restroom tiles are broken, mirrors are cloudy, bed is like stone hard and walls are dusty. I'm trying to be nice and just enjoy the trip but when I used the restroom and unsurprisingly there's no toilet paper, soap and face towel. I used the room phone to call the front desk but theres no one answering. I have to ask my friend to go to the front office to grab all the things I need. Again, we don't want to spoil our vacation and we're still positive and excited to enjoy the beautiful island of Boracay so we jumped out the room right away. When we get in the room again there's a beeping sound coming from the safe and the safe is widely open. We were so nervous about our personal belongings and luckily everything is still there. We called the attention of the security guard and he immediately send someone in the room to check the safe. I was telling the gentleman that the safe was broken but he insisted that I entered the wrong pin which I did not. It was a long day and I ready for an ice cold water, they offer 2 free bottled water per day which is great but the fridge is EMPTY. At that point I called their Manila office to officially complain. I spoke with Nelsa but they didn't do anything about my concerns. Day 2: Woke up early and explore the island and around 3:30pm we went back to our room to change but our room was NEVER cleaned. I call the front desk to tell them and request for towels. After two hours we came back and the bed was fixed. Time to take shower again but there's no towels, soap and shampoo. 😡 Safe is beeping again and it says error. I just ignored it because I'm sure that they will not do anything. Day 3: Finally were checking out to the haunted hotel. And from outside you can see some rooms with fresh plant on the coffee table but not on ours. I went to the front desk to check out and they sent someone in our room to check everything. The room service staff told them that the beers were consumed in the fridge and I was like... What?! I was livid and told them that they were never refilled and now your charging me?! I spoke to their manager and all she said is "sorry". I realized that it is not worth the talk and I just want to give everyone a heads up to AVOID this hotel and don't let them ruin your much awaited vacation. I'm a frequent traveler and this is the WORST hotel ever!!! If you want to treasure great memories with your love ones then go somewhere else. I can tell you more about my horrific experienced but I'm boarding soon... Thanks for reading.
