The location is perfect, right across the street from the Valporetto (the water bus). Eugenio, the concierge is the best I have experienced in any hotel in any country. He went out of his way to make our stay wonderful. Coffee and tea any time of day, letting me use the hotel computer (several times), arranging a free motorboat ride to the glass works in Murano,marking a map with the number of the valporetto to take (including the times for when we had to leave early to get to the airport, and just being one of the nicest people I have ever met! The room was spacious and immaculate with three windows, one overlooking the Grand Canal. The bathroom was spotless and well lit, even had a towel warmer for the towels, the heating control was well appreciated since it snowed the day we arrived! With the Valporetto station just across the street it is easy to get anywhere in Venice. About 20 minutes from the bus station at Pont Roma on the 5.1 to the hotel. Or take the line 1 and cruise down the Grand Canal on the way to the hotel. I love Lido since one doesn't have to cross bridges or walk a long way to the hotel and there are many restaurant choices within a 2 block area.

"casa favaretto venice--very close to all sights"
very convenient central location. overlooks canal. very clean and friendly. good eating places nearby. not ensuite but known before hand and immaculately clean. need to pay in cash on first day--that was fine but must make sure you have it on you. we enjoyed our stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Хорошее отношение персонала, не было проблем с английским. понравилось, что отель расчитан на мало людей, соответственно то, что туалет и душ были не в номере совсем не напрягло. Есть отопление, которое мы сами себе включили, благодаря чему смогли высушить всю одежду ( попали под ливень). После выселения нам разрешили […] до 14-00 оставить багаж бесплатно. "Hotel in Venice, near Piazza San Marco"
Nice room. Friendly staff, though she didn't speak English. The place was just a few minutes walk along the Grand Canal from Piazza San Marco and the Doge palace. Clean, nice with a shared bathroom. There were not many rooms so it was not a problem. It was just across the hall and just as nice as a private bathroom. The beds were not very comfy though. […] Too soft, like camping beds. We ordered a double bed, but i was just two beds put together. They were so light that they slid apart. It's on the oposite side of town from the train station.
