Dartington is a special place, a restored medieval hall. Very beautiful and the rooms are up to 21st. century standards. The one mild problem was the WIFI was touchy; one had to stand by the window for it to work. Very reasonable priced.

The hosts here are so friendly, the area walking distance to the beach and eateries, the rooms very clean and beds comfortable. We had a little trouble with the new heat system, but I am sure it is sorted out now. Wonderful delicious breakfast. I highly recommend. We loved the restaurant they recommended to us also.

Beautiful location, however it is a number of single track lanes to get there. Very friendly and helpful inn keepers. Great breakfast. Enjoyable to walk the 240 acre farm. Convenient to other local sights in Devon.

We only had one night at the Burleigh House, but it was great. Very comfortable rooms, a good breakfast, and close to downtown. The car park was a little... difficult for a large vehicle (there were 6 of us on this trip), but we managed. At least it was available! The accommodation was acceptable: I booked a single room and the bathroom and toilet were shared outside the room (not ensuite). However since there were not many guests it was not an issue. The room was clean and the environment and staff very pleasant. There was enough parking behind the hotel and there was no noise from the road to disturb my sleep. We arrived mid afternoon to be welcomed by the owners, a cup of tea and biscuits. The location was very easy for our shopping trip to Trago Mills, and eating out in the evenings was made simple after a short walk into Torquay center, which has lots of choice in all price ranges. Breakfast consisted of a wide range of quality cereals and yogurts, full […] English breakfast, tea's, coffee etc.. The rooms are clean and tidy, we had an on-suite double room which was clean, large and spacious. Fitted with a flat screen TV. I have to say this is one of the nicest B&Bs I have ever stayed at. Martin and Marcia make you feel very welcome and nothing is too much trouble.We had a lovely weekend and the breakfasts are good too!

My wife and I loved it here. Only a short stay but a very pleasant one. The place is like a little palace, beautifully cared for; as were we. It is about 200yds from a Train Station; 50yds from a convenient Bus Stop and although about a mile from the Sea Front and main shops it does have off street parking and such easy access to the Town and Front […] this was never a problem. Martin and Marcia are excellent hosts and apart from seemingly being available whenever we needed them were very respectful of our privacy.
