My wife and I enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff was very friendly and accomodating, and the location was only a 10-minute walk from the Fish Fry. Although the hotels in Paradise Island are categories below, we appreciated being near the Fish Fry and downtown by selecting the Junkanoo Beach resort. We'd definitely choose this hotel again!

needed a hotel downtown overnight (a Friday) - this was clean enough, across from Junkanoo beach but not loud at night - seemed overpriced but comparable to other places I looked at in Nassau.

We were passing through - missed our flight to FLL for a cruise that stopped in Nassau - we flew to Nassau and picked up the last of the cruise. We spent one night at the Junkanoo and were looking for the best deal we could find. The location of the hotel is great - right on the beach, and within walking distance to the Cruise ships. The hotel staff […] was great, but the hotel itself is nothing to brag about. The floor was dirty - must wear flip flops or your feet will stick to the all tile floor. The remote in the room to the TV was missing, there were no towels in the room. The safe had no lock on it, the drawers in the room had no bottoms (you couldn't put anything in them) and even with the curtains closed the lights from outside are so bright you couldn't sleep. The air conditioning unit in the room was broken, so it was a muggy 80 or so degrees all night. Not to mention the police sirens and loud public noise, (boom boxes, yelling, fights, drunkards) that continued until after 4:00am. We laughed about it the next day - it is absolutely the worst night we've ever spent on the road. (And we travel a lot.) If you are looking for a savings, take your chances, but your money might be better spent down the street at the Hilton. LOL Read more

First appearances were deceiving. There was absolutely no sound barrier between the room and the outside...AND the lounge that seemed to have the music piped to a "subwoofer" in the bathroom's exhaust fan. The music was so loud you could literally feel the bed vibrating. The window was rusted open and the door at the bottom of the stairs was paddle […] locked shut. Very basic room with no frills. Bed decent... Clean sheets... Hot shower... Basic cable. That's all we really needed and that's just what we got. Close to ferry pick-up. $4.00 gets you over to Paradise Island. Pick up a bus right by the hotel to take you to East or West sides of island or even to the airport. If you are looking for a clean place to sleep with free wi-fi, free local calls, a good central location and friendly service, then this is a good hotel for you. If you are looking for a five star hotel with fancy amenities like those at Atlantis on Paradise Island, then this place is not for you. The floors in the room are ceramic tile, not carpet […] (which is probably easier to clean because sand gets into everything.) The cleaner of choice on the island seems to be bleach--fresh smelling sheets and a clean smelling room. The hotel is across the street from the beach at the corner of Bay Street and Nassau Street. There is a light to cross the road and pedestrians do have the right of way, but don't push your luck. Things we learned during our stay: If you want a seat during Junkanoo, you have to purchase them in advance. Buses are $1.25 and will take you most places you want to go. Natives are not allowed to gamble at the local casinos, and are not happy about it. Tips are expected for every service, including having your photo taken with your own camera--have lots of $1 bills on your person. . Read more

This so called Resort was one step above a Motel. The elevator was small and slow, the bathroom was also small and not comfortable. The room was actually spacious and had a great view. the outward appereance of the hotel is not that inviting. The rooms are equipped simply but they are clean. The staff of the hotel is, in contrast to most of the people in Nassau very friendly and helpful. The restaurant attached to the hotel is definitely not recommendable! The facilities need anHotel overall refurbishing. Our room was smelly, the water that came in through the open decks on the outer hallways was not cleaned quickly. There was not even a clock or a coffee pot in the room. The icebox in the lobby was so dirty it seems like mold is growing in it.

I believe I've read it here or tripadvisor but to sum it up, you get what you pay for. Our trip was primarily for getting our scuba certification dives completed. None of the 3 in our group were concerned about the low class status of this hotel compared to say...Atlantis so it worked for us. If you're just looking for a bed to sleep in then this is […] fine. There's free wi-fi which is a plus. The bed sheets irritated one person in the group (maybe sensitive skin?) but 2/3 were fine. I wasn't a fan of the tile floors throughout the entire room, but we only used the room to sleep and shower so this isn't a huge concern. This hotel is close to the beach Junkanoo, just 1/2 mile to fry fish restaurent and 2.5 miles to altantic, the price is reasonable you can economy money to have good dinner for some good restaurent. the room is simple but clean, the WIFI is free good for internet call or MSN.

Location of the hotel is very good. Staff is pleasant, especially employees at Restaurant which offers a decent menu for a very affordable price. Renovations need to be made in order to compete with other hotels in the region.

The location is great the staff is kind and warm and just very accommodating . The room was clean BUT very moldy for a person with asthma that was not very good . There was not screen at the door do that I could leave to the balcony door open for fresh air without getting bugs in the room.
