Absolutely the best hotel in Caracas right now. Best location and new facilities. There are not five stars hotels in Caracas but the Renaissance is the... closets it gets to a top rated hotel. Very good restaurants in the vicinity but try not to walk at night since is a dangerous city. Take a taxi from the hotel. Hotel restaurant is O.K. for breakfast but there are better options close by for lunch and dinner. Helpful staff but Venezuelans still need training in customer service when compared to other countries like Mexico. I travel often to Caracas and have tried all the hotels there but The Renaissance is definitely the best overall bet. by George from Miami, Florida on 01/22/12

Move from Pestana to this one and definetly is in better condition. Check in and check out was fast (pestana it took 45 min) Neighborhood is safe you can walk around without any problem.

Hotel neuwertig, Zimmer und sonst alles bestens. 4 freie Internet-Terminals. 26 Stockwerke, schöner Blick von der Dachterrasse. Lage in Businessdistrikt, ca. 5 - 7 Min. zur Metro. Damit ist Zentrum leicht zu erreichen. Hotel also so weit perfekt und das, was man von einem Renaissance erwartet. Zum Lärmproblem, das alle Hotels in Südamerika haben: Es […] gibt eine Straßenseite und eine Rückseite. Hatte ein Zimmer zur Rückseite im 22. Stock. Aufenthalt von Samstag bis Montag. Am Wochenende legt vermutlich immer ein DJ unten in der Bar auf. Es gibt auch einen Innenhof zur Rückseite. Selbst im 22. Stock hat man die Musik noch deutlich gehört. Die Musik endet aber so um Mitternacht. Dann war es so weit ruhig. Am Montag allerdings hat sich in der Nachbartiefgarage eine Lüftung eingeschaltet, die war selbst im 22. Stock deutlich zu hören. So ist das wohl unter der Woche. Insofern dürften unter der Woche die Zimmer zur Straßenseite wieder besser sein. Empfehlung: Zimmer möglichst weit oben. Es gibt auch noch ein JW Marriott ca. 3 Metrostation weiter Richtung Zentrum. Das liegt aber für meine Begriffe noch mehr im Verkehrslärm und nicht so günstig bei der Metro. Ich empfehle lieber das Renaissance. Wenn man dann noch einen guten Tarif erwischt, ist es die beste Wahl, verglichen zu den Alternativen in Caracas. Zum Airporttransfer: Taxi sehr teuer. Metro bis Gato Negro, dann Bus gleich am Eingang zum Airport, allerdings nur tagsüber. Der Concierge hilft. Read more
