"Out of the Ordinary"
We loved this hotel. It is very convenient for the Aerobus from the airport as it is only a few minutes from the terminus at cais do Sodre so no need for a taxi!.Just look out for the blue painted building! the staff were exceedingly helpful and friendly. We especially liked the welcome glass of wine and sushi (free of charge0 each evening and the […] welcome glass of port and pastries (also gratis!) in the foyer. We would certainly recommend this hotel without hesiitation.. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Nice hotel - central but busy location."
You can tell that Portugal is a place in the middle of financial crisis and Lisbon especially epitomises it. As a capital city, it is a little shabby and in need of regeneration . Thriver mouth is beuatiful and yet there are few bars/cafes along it which seems a waste of location. Good restaurants though and some decent shopping to be had. It could […] be more like Barcelona but at the moment, it lacks the charm and handsomeness. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Good value hotel in a top location in Lisbon"
An excellent boutique hotel in a very central location. To get from the airport either catch the metro or the airport bus which terminates opposite the hotel. To return to the airport the hotel can arrange a taxi cheaply. The hotel is a boutique hotel in an older building, which means that whilst having all mod cons it still manages to be a bit quirky. […] The hotel can get noisy at night with adjacent bars and clubs, so if you want a quiet nights sleep request a quiet room, which they will happily do subject to availability, (the downside is that you probably won't get a view). The rooms are very good and well maintained, although the lighting could be brighter. Breakfast is good, but at 15 euros, not cheap. Ther are many bars and cafes nearby as an alternative. In the late afternoon complimentary custard tarts, (a local delicacy), and wine are available in Reception, and at 7.30pm wine and Sushi, in the restaurant. (which we didn't try it). What makes this hotel really stand out though is the staff who were, without exception, incredibly helpful. In summary an excellent hotel in an interesting city; highly recommended. "Nice Hotel in party district"
Great Hotel, great looking staff, good location but can be a bit noisy at weekends due to nightlife around.Genuine Expedia guest review
Hotel decor and bedroom very stylish, clean and comfortable. Good location, only 5 minutes from shops and cafes. The bedroom had a safe but it was not big enough to put a lap top in but adequate for other valuables. Free wifi in room! Had a few English TV channels too which was nice to relax with. Didn't experience the restaurant or breakfast as so […] much choice near by so unable to comment. all in all a lovely, clean, stylish and relaxing room - only down side was no tea / coffee making facilities in room and couldn't get a coffee if restaurant was closed. strange arrangement of the shower/wc room, glass wall as the partition from bedroom. Night club out side of our room, noisy overnight. Hotel staff very pleasant.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Excellent, convenient, friendly hotel."
Easy to get to from the airport. Airport Bus No.1 Lisbon terminus is just by the hotel. Staff all friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet was superb as was the complimentary wine and sushi. Near the Cais do Sodre metro station and trams and buses. Just near the river so can walk along the flat to Commercial Square, Figueira Square and RossioGenuine Expedia guest review
"Ideal location with bars / restaurants close by."
Hotel very stylish & good location. the staff very friendly. The only downside was our bathroom was a wet room designed for the disabled, although well equipped & modern. The room was very comfortable but lacked Tea/coffee facilities. The bar / restaurant was Japanese which although very nice, not my favourite.Genuine Expedia guest review
"A jewel of a hotel"
Warmly greeted. Room was ready even though we arrived 2 hours early. Superb room with the most comfortable bed ever. Lovely down pillows. Room spotless, large & rather chic. Staff extremely helpful & polite, nothing too much trouble. I had my 60th birthday while staying in Lisbon but did not tell anyone, however returned from a day out to find a beautiful […] flower arrangement in the room with a card from the staff! "Contemporary hotel in an excellent location"
We received wonderful service from reception and waiting staff. The room was very swish and we chose a river view which was lovely but probably not worth paying so much extra for it . The locals party hard most nights and despite good double glazing and shutters it still keeps you awake around 3-4am! The Sushi restaurant is lovely and the boutique style […] of the hotel is something to admire. We'll located for river front and metro, trams and buses. Ferry port is nearby making it easy to cross to visit Christ's statue for a magnificent view back across to Lisbon. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great hotel close to the seafront and the centre."
The hotel is in an excellent position for the waterfront and the city centre, everything was walkable. The room we had was at the back of the hotel, it was immaculate and had a glass walled bathroom which was different. The window opened onto some very good cartoon like graffiti which was interesting. The noise from the local bars and discos was not […] as loud as the front of the hotel. The breakfast was excellent and the staff very good, they kept restocking the food even though the breakfast hours had finished which was a pleasant change from having to rush the meal. Happy hour was a free glass of wine and some excellent sushi. We did not go to the sushi restaurant for an evening meal but the food looked very good. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

the hotel was lovely; clean, nice decor and the staff were amazing! could not have been more helpful or accommodating with our needs including suggestions and directions. excellent location, 2 mins from metro station, close to loads of bars clubs restaurants & shops. can get noisy at night, didn't bother us as though...Genuine Hotels.com guest review
My boyfriend and I stayed here for vday weekend! It is a small cozy hotel with just the right amenities. The standard room was the perfect size, big bed and comfy! The bathroom was outstanding with a waterfall shower head! It was across the street from aerobus stop, metro, and tram to Belem! It was also down the hill from the shopping area. Bars and […] clubs are underneath (does get noisy at 4:30am) but not too bad. It's down the street from a major plaza! Mostly in walking distance of everything! There were complimentary port and pastries in the evening and the staff directed us to where we needed to go and made bookings for us! Would definitely stay again in this wonderful, intimate hotel!! "LX is indeed a Lisbon Experience."
Fourth floor expansive river views, room 416 was quiet, spotlessly clean with enjoyable toiletries and piping hot water. A nice hotel at the heart of the town near public transport. We have enjoyed staying there.Genuine Expedia guest review
Great Hotel in an excellent location. You can get the airport bus to a stop within 100m from the hotel. Both the hotel and attached restaurant and bar serving Suchi in the evenings is very stylish. Breakfast served in the same restaurant is also stylish, varied, plentiful and constantly refreshed. Staff were always helpful and very pleasant. A wonderful hotel. Staff were amazing. Great location.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
When we reached the hotel after a long flight from Amsterdam, the staff told us we dont have your room so under Portuguese law we need to provide you with similar room at any hotel, first we accepted it and went but that was in some remote corner so we came back and then we saw others checking-in so we asked the the front desk they said these people […] are on different category.... this is bizarre i have been in more than 100 hotels worldwide and whenever such an issue have happened we have always upgrade to the next room available but here due to new years the SOLD our room to someone else. "Great Hotel, Great Location"
I would really recommend this hotel to anyone that is visiting Lisbon. The hotel is situated in a great location near the port and a stone throw from the old town of Lisbon along with all the things you would want to visit. Within this area there are plenty of local bars, cafe's and restaurants to cater for all. The café / bar across the street is a […] great place to grab breakfast , lunch or a snack and with a choice of refreshments to accompany it from coffee's to beer. The hotel itself was excellent, knowledgeable staff that couldn't do enough for you, comfortable rooms with a very modern décor. We really enjoyed the complimentary glass of port and custard tarts served each day in the lobby area, nice to enjoy once you return from your sight seeing. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Pleasant hotel in Lisbon"
My husband and I spent 4 nights at this hotel late November. We stayed on the third floor (Fado), facing the front street (Rua do Alecrim). The hotel is very nicely decorated, the bed was larger than a king size one. The bathroom front wall including door are of translucent glass, which may be an issue if you are too concerned about privacy. They offer […] a buffet breakfast at 12 Euro per person, but we preferred to go for breakfast in the "Pasterarias". The parking the hotel provides is located at another building, about half a block from the hotel. Our spot was on the fourth floor, and it was quite a challenge to maneuver the car in that tight parking garage. The staff is very helpful and professional. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Great hotel, we booked probably the lowest grade room and, although it was compact, it was stylish and well equipped. Very convenient for the metro(airport) train and trams, sights and night life(noise may be a problem for some). Welcome wine and sushi was an added highlight.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Central location with great sushi bar."
The LX boutique hotel is very well situated and it is easy to walk or take a tram to all the sights. The hotel staff are exceptional, so very friendly , efficient and kind. A real plus is the attached sushi bar which has a pleasant atmosphere and an an excellent, knowledgeable staff who advise you on the various types of sushi. The food itself is delicious. "Great stay in great location."
We stayed one night before heading to Porto. Well located, and updated hotel. Modern items, like automatic window shades and bachelor style bathroom were neat. The noise from the street at 4am wasn't pleasant, though only a bid more soundproofing could fix that. Great colours decorating the room and a comfortable bed. Easy to walk around the neighbourhood, […] or catch a tram to visit attractions. Enjoyed the little lunch place up the street 'Quinoa', and also enjoyed the 28 tram which you can take from the start and then just get off up the street from the hotel. "Super comfy boutique hotel in good location"
Very nicely appointed boutique hotel right near the harbour area. it sits right on a big party street but seemingly has very effective double glazing as we didnt hear a thing. if you're a monocle/wallpaper reader, you'll like it.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Very well located, good service, great diverse breakfast (not included). The free port wine and pastel de nata are delicious. The only weak spot is that the rear view room I stayed in is very noisy as there are some night clubs in the narrow alley. Even on a weekday it was a ongoing party. Impossible to sleep with the window open! The double glass is […] sound proof though. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
A friend and I stayed in Lisbon for three nights and we could not have asked for a better place to stay. The hotel is beautiful. The beds and pillows so comfortable. Great location for transport links from cais de sodre and bars/restaurants in bairro alto. friendly staff, nice room. Our room was on the street and the bars are busy to 6am so the noise may bother some people (not me) so opt for the slightly more expensive rooms not on street side if you are bothered by noise.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Lovely little place in Lisbon"
Great boutique hotel with a really comfy bed, lovely scent and cool decor. Very close to transport and some amazing bars + clubs. Unfortunately it labels itself as being in the Bairro Alto but really it's right off the river and in a slightly seedy red-light district that has a great nightlife but not much else. We had a hard time finding cheap cafes […] for breakfast in the morning. Good for a few nights if this is your first time staying in Lisbon. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
near to the metro and areobus stop. the location is great, bars, restaurants near and a 2 min walk upto the centre of the shopping area (Chiado) and then over into the barrio alto for the nightlife.Genuine Expedia guest review
Fantastic design, and all those little things which make a cumulative difference, are thought of here.Genuine Expedia guest review
Room was comfy and clean with as much space as you'd expect for a central location hotel. The staff were fantastically helpful - before we'd even got out of the taxi they were there to take our bags and always did what they could to help whether with directions, advice or just keeping an eye on our bags, plus they all spoke very good English. The location […] was spot on, 5 mins walk from the main shops and restaurants (bairro alto), 5 mins walk from the Praca da comercao square (tourist info, sightseeing buses, trams etc), 2 mins walk from the final stops of most bus tours (great for tired legs at the end of a busy day sightseeing). Cost us just under 30 euros for taxi from lisbon airport - would recommend buying taxi voucher from tourist info at the airport as that would've saved us a few euros. Stayed at other central lisbon hotels and they were poor quality but great location - lx boutique was the perfect balance. One general observation - If you're new to lisbon but a frequent traveller, I've found that so far in lisbon the stars on the door tend to overcompensate by 1 star compared to elsewhere in the world ;) Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Very pleased with the hotel. It was well furnished and in a good location. It was at the bottom of the hill, but did meant the walk home was easier! "Great staff, pleasant hotel"
The rooms are small but everything was clean and worked. The disco mentioned in other reviews stopped about 1am so no problems but it was Saturday night there was considerable street noise till after 4am so perhaps ear plugs are in order if you are a light sleeper. The surrounding area is a bit shabby but so is most of Lisbon. The car park is close […] by the hotel. The staff were friendly and very helpful. I would stay here again. "Great location for all."
We were a party of 6 with 3 different room types. They were all fun, we had the smallest but still adequate. Don't be put off by the fact that you face the square and the trams, the windows kep out the sound. Staff could not be more helpful.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Fabulous hotel, great location"
Fabulous hotel. Great position for getting around Lisbon and close to the sodre train station for going west. We were booked in to the Xecutive River front room but got upgraded for free to the Xplendid suit - stunning room, very light and airy with great views over the river. Very comfortable. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Afternoon tea was […] at reception - usually natas and port. Only negative would be the lack of food on general offer. They have a sushi restaurant but not a lot else. But there's tonnes of fabulous places in the area - highly recommend 100 Marieres for tasting menus and Guilty for some fantastic comfort food and sangria. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
