This place was absolutely perfect. The rooms are big and comfortable. Most if not all hotels will give you about 350 sq ft. This place is over 700 sq ft. I can practically live here. What a great hotel! The room was fabulous, and full of character. No drab decor here. And the space! It was very comfortable, with a seating area, a kitchenette and a very comfy bed. The hotel was great and the front desk staff was extremely helpful. Only the noise from Vine Street was somewhat loud. We would stay again, but would request a room near the court yard. Overall we would highly recommend the Redbury to all.

The hotel used to be condos, so the rooms have kitchens and washer/dryers, which is OK for a long stay but not necessary for a short stay. The one huge problem with this hotel is the noise. The nite club is on the second floor and plays VERY LOUD until 5AM! They also have an open outdoor center court attached to the nite club so if you are unfortunate […] to have a room that overlooks the center court (1/2 of all rooms) and/or you are on the second floor, FORGET SLEEPING! Everything about this hotel is awesome. From the vinyl record players in the rooms, to the delicious restaurant downstairs. The hotel theme and maintenance makes Hollywood seem so much less trashy then it is. We really didn't want to leave the hotel. Best spot in Hollywood no doubt.

I was impressed at first the position of the hotel and the rooms are superb - however 2 hours after a normal check in showing passport and credit card details - just out of the shower and not completely dressed, a male hotel worker barged into my room (if there was a knock I didnt hear it and he didnt mention that he knocked first) he demanded to see […] my passport and credit card details - I explained that I'd already given them and if they needed to be seen again it would have to wait until morning - then a female rang demanding to see the details - they backed off and in the morning when naturally I was angry they explained there had been some "glitch" with my details - clearly not my fault - definitely not good service. The decoration of the hotel is modern and really beautiful. Rooms are enormous (kitchen, dining place, living room, terrace, etc.). For me is one of the very few times that the real thing is better than the internet pictures.

This is a really beautiful hotel. Great style all around. Rooms are large and have all the necessities plus a kitchen & laundry. Not to mention an old record player with selection of records for added ambiance. We stayed in a highland room & the balcony faced an alley between buildings. The loud music coming from the club next door woke us up @ 11pm […] and kept us up until 3am. When I called the front desk @ 1am they offered earplugs & stated they could not do anything. The clean up crew started dumping bottles in the alley trash at 9am. When we checked out, the front desk said we were not the only people complaining & they were going to sound proof that side of the hotel within the next three months. I had really hoped that this could be a regular overnight stop for us when we were in Los Angeles but I will not stay at this hotel again. Read more

The Redbury was truly an exceptional hotel. The room was VERY spacious and we were pleasantly surprised. The kitchen and bathroom area were large and the entire room was beautifully decorated. The bed was extremely comfortable. Everything was also very clean and neat. We loved the hotel and will definitely stay here again.

So after reading all of the reviews online I decided to stay at the redbury over the Roosevelt to stay someplace new and different in Hollywood. The hotel is very nice and the rooms are very spacious. I have no complaints with hotel other than the fact that it would be way better if they had a pool. My complaint is with the level of service the hotel […] claims to provide which is very exaggerated. First off I paid extra to stay in the vine flat, which according to the hotels own description on their website has "amazing views of the Hollywood sign, Capitol Records, the Griffith Observatory, and downtown Hollywood" my room had views of none of them!!! All I had a view was the courtyard, which is the same view I would have got for cheaper. When I mentioned it to management they said it was considered a vine flat because it had a partial side view of the corner of Hollywood and vine from the balcony. What a joke! Then there was all this hype about the personal hosts they have and how they go above and beyond... Well they all must have had the night off during my stay because the only person I spoke to was the person who checked me in and out of my room, which was the same hospitality you receive at a motel 6. Overall the hotel is very nice and clean and in a great area, but I doubt I would pay to stay there again. I'll stick to the Roosevelt and W. Read more

The Redbury is very unique. It has some very strong pluses and just a few minuses. The size, layout, and décor of the rooms is outstanding! Mine had a little balcony with a view of the iconic Capitol Records building. The garage is very well integrated into the hotel and the valet staff are incredibly fast and nice! Due to being a refurbed condo bldg, there is no real lobby, so the tiny check in desk is on the second floor, and this one of the slight minuses. The other minus is that there is a trendy and active (after 10PM) club on the second floor where my room was. This is a problem for light sleepers, but I was OK with the noise, since I am slightly hard of hearing!
