"Times Square Nugget"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 6, 2012
We really enjoyed our stay. We stayed for a week and were glad to find a hotel right in the heart of Times Square. The service was definitely top notch! The front desk was courteous and the concierge was very helpful, recommending great shows and restaurants. Our room was nice. It could've been a little larger. But the bathroom was a good size and the size of the TV's and the fact that they played HD was a bonus. Also, the bed was quite comfortable. The cleaning staff did a fine job of keeping up the room. I'll definitely recommend this hotel to others.
"Consistency. You can depend on it."Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 6, 2012
Finding a "GOOD THING" these days can get harder and harder. For this reason when you come across a 'good thing" it is priceless. One of the most recent "good things " that I have come across is the PARAMOUNT hotel in Times Square. The first thing that I leave the hotel impressed by is the professionalism and commitment that is demonstrated by the staff. Starting with the front desk where I was checked in by Catherine and continuing until the driver which I received at the hotel hands me my luggage at the airport. Catherine followed the details of my visit until the moment I checked out. The only dislike that I had which eventually i got over was the view of the alley where the boiler or some loud machine was placed. I know that from now on I will request a room that faces anywhere but there. If you are going to New York and plan on taking in Broadway there could not be a more perfect location. I love this hotel so much I find myself wanting to travel to NYC more. I cannot wait until my next visit to the PARAMOUNT which I hope will be in the next few weeks.

In Queens’ western edge, Long Island City hosts a vibrant art scene, on display at PS1. Immigrants make up nearly half of the population of this New York borough. Jackson Heights is home to Little India. Jamaica has long welcomed African Americans and West Indians. Corona is the resting place of trumpeter Louis Armstrong, and Astoria has one of the largest Greek populations outside of Greece.

The view is beautiful, the people are friendly and my room was very comfortable and clean..my only qualm was the bathroom sink was not draining properly so it filled up evry time we used it.
"easy access"
Hotel was excellent, the restaurant was very good and service excellent. The area needs some more venues for food and entertainment.
Pleasant surprise for LIC. The restaurant and bar were clean, food was excellent and Johnathan was very attentive, tending bar and serving food.
"Not a single complaint"
This hotel was clean and comfortable. My girlfriend and I stayed there over Easter weekend and were able to walk to the subway only a couple blocks away. Whenever we do another long weekend in New York, I wouldn't hesitate to book this hotel again.
"Excellent value, will definetly stay here again!"
The hotel is new and impeccably clean. The staff was very friendly and the room was a great value. The bed was super soft, like sleeping on a cloud! The location was great, just a short walk to the subway station. I saved so much by staying here instead of in Manhattan.
"Sheraton ,Queens, NY"
Check in was great. Front desk reception did a wonderful job. Room was quiet and clean. One day cleaning staff did wake me, other than that they were quiet. Bed was a little soft but comfortable with clean new bedding. The requested wake up calls were on time. The only real negative was that I asked for a late check out and a large bald man ( assuming […] manager) banged real loud of my door one hour before my request to remind me of my check out. Really? Clean , quiet and convenient but didn't like that manager Read more
"Don`t Go To This Hotel"
I Was Going to Stay In The Hotel For 4 Nights With My Girl And I didn't, the Room Was Too Small, In the Hotel info said they got this and that but they don't there's no parking well only if you pay $25 for each night and the parking its Super Small only 3 cars fits. Surrounding neighborhood super ghetto don't tray this hotel and also I pay For The Best […] Room in the hotel and i was The Worst room Read more
"Good for the price"
I can't recommend this based on the neighborhood, but the hotel itself was great! Very clean, nice views, comfy. The parking wasn't so great, had to find street parking. The restraunt was decent, mostly bar food, but good. Waiter service could have been better.

"clean, good location, good price, awful bed"
i've stayed here a couple of different times. our first stay was okay except our room on the 5th floor was right next to the ice machine and it was incredibly loud, especially at night. our most recent stay (feb 18-20) was on the 6th floor which did not have an ice machine so the noise factor was much better. however, the bed in our room was awful. […] it made so much noise, it caved in the middle, and was generally very uncomfortable to sleep in. might have been the worst hotel bed i've ever slept on. those were the only negatives of each time we have stayed here. overall the location is great, easy access to subway and it's only about 10 min drive into the city. the price is great. the hotel is generally clean. we had partial city view both stays and that was nice. parking is also extremely easy. there is plenty of street parking available at all times. both times we were able to park right in front of the main entrance to the hotel. bonus - free bottled water every night. it's a small gesture but i love that feature. cable is also provided along with free wifi. PLEASE KEEP THESE AMENITIES. it's an excellent feature of staying here. helps keep costs low for the customer. the staff is also very friendly and both times i've stayed here, i've been upgraded to a partial city view room which was real nice. i'll definitely continue to stay at this hotel whenever i'm visiting long island city. "Four Points Long Island City"
The hotel was pretty decent. The bed was extremely comfortable and we were happy with the condition of the room, although it was smaller than we had expected. The first room they sent us to was near a terrace where people smoked and the fumes travelled into our room, so we called down and they were kind enough to move us to another room. We had booked […] the "manhattan view" room but honestly it wasn't worth it. The view was there if you looked out strained your head to the left. No biggie though. It is located in a residential neighborhood... I wasn't too happy with that. Next door there are literally houses and I'm more of a "hotel experience" kind of perso- I like feeling away from home. I might go the expensive route and book some place in the city next time, but if funds are scarce, this place wasn't too bad. Read more
"Four Points by Sheraton Long Island City Queensbor"
Nice brand new building located in Queens in a semi residential/business/warehouse district yet only 15 minutes to Manhattan by bus or train or cab. Not sufficent parking here. The hotel charge for parking in their lot. We were fortunate to get the view looking at the 59th Street / Ed Koch Bridge. The room was nice. However the kingsize bed in room […] 508 had a dip on one side where my girlfriend slept. She woke up with a little discomfort on her back. We did not realize it until the morning. How could that happen in a new building? Was the bed used? I hope they get a new bed so that the next person would not suffer. Because, no matter how new the building, how clean the room, how well trained the staff and the good location can only be upstaged by a poor nights rest on a bad bed. Read more
"Exceptional. Pleasantly Surprised."
My boyfriend and I have stayed at a couple of Sheridans, usually in Manhattan, but the Queensboro branch is by far the nicest we've stayed at. The rooms are not huge, but they are clean, neat, and comfortable. You control the heat, there's a flat screen, and free wifi . The lobby has a printing center and computers which was also super helpful. The […] staff was friendly and wildly accommodating. The hotel was impeccably clean, and even the coffee in the house restaurant was killer. The neighborhood may throw some off because the area is under construction, but despite looks, I never felt unsafe! I recommend this hotel to any and everyone. fab. Read more
Be sure to ask if there is a function scheduled on the 11th floor during your stay, if the answer is "yes" don't stay on the 10th it was noisey. Otherwise the hotel is fine, clean and convenient. Front desk personnel very nice. Beware there are only 7-8 parking spaces in the garage otherwise you are on the street .

"Not My First Choice"
The hotel was out of the way and there were no restaurants in the area. The hotel restaurant was bare bones at best. The overall condition of the hotel was good but it is for sleeping only.

"Great hotel with very good service and location"
The hotel is near subway, about 5 mins walk. And take the subway, less than half an hour to Manhattan or other sight seeing places. The front desk persons are so nice and can help you with lots of things. They provided several maps which gave you a preview where you are and where are the famous places and explain restaurants locations for you carefully […] and patiently. I love this hotel. Read more

"The Four Points Long Island City New York"
Hotel was very nice. Bed was very comfortable with plenty of pillows. Would stay there again without a doubt.
"Small but good"
This is a small hotel. Small lobby, small rooms, small bath rooms. It is clean but not luxurious. The rooms are small but the bed is comfortable. If you just want to find a hotel right outside of NYC that is cheaper than NYC hotels, then this is a good choice.
"Marathon stay"
Hotel was good. Ate diner in the Hotal restaurant service & food was good. Only negative was we has rteserved a KING but were checked into a double.
"four point queenboro"
greta hotel for the price and convience
"Four Points Queensboro - great location/comfort"
Good location if you are coming to visit NYC, the subway is just 2 blocks up the street and from there you can go anywhere! Hotel was very clean, friendly staff and plenty of space. There is a restaurant in the hotel that serves pretty good food. I would def. Recommend to others. Only issues were with loud kids in the next room and a leaky shower but […] other than that, the hotel was good. Read more
"US Open Tennis Weekend"
My wife and I were visitng NYC for the US Open Tennis Tournament in Flushing NY. I chose the 4 points because the Hotel was only 7 months old and the reviews were good. When we arrived we were even more pleased than I expected. The Staff was friendly and attentive, the room was large, well decorated and very comfortable. The bathroom was clean and modern […] wiith a huge shower. The subway was a short walk from the hotel and the Tennis Center was about a 15-20 minute ride with one change. Times Square was about 15-20 minutes into the city. Except for the neighborhood being a little rundown the hotel was a real bargain, and we are looking forward to next years US Open and another stay there. Oh and by the way because of the tournament being extended one day the hotel gave us another night at a discount rate! Well done! Read more
"Wouldn't Recommend"
The front desk staff was very unprofessional and I had to wait for awhile before they even attended the front desk. When I went down later to get another wash cloth, I had to wait 5 minutes before the girl came out from the back (she was on her cell phone). The neighborhood is SHADY. I thought this hotel had a covered-parking area, but when I asked […] about it...all she said was "it's full". I had to park on the street. The air-conditioner in the room kept turning on and off the whole night. Not like...every hour, but every minute it would shut on and off as if it didn't know what it was doing. Read more

"AWESOME service at Four Points by Sheraton LIC"
The staff at the Four Points by Sheraton LIC Queensboro Bridge was REALLY accommodating and friendly. I stayed for one night and had to catch a flight the next evening. Check-out time was at 12pm so they were going to allow me to have a late check-out time of 1:30pm. I asked management if I could check out any later and they allowed me to extend my […] stay till 3:45pm (at no extra charge) which was PERFECT! By the way you won't be disappointed with the bedding if you're the picky type :) it was immaculate and very comfortable. Read more
"I'd Stay Again"
If I couldn't get a hotel at a decent price on Manhattan, I'd certainly stay here again. Very convenient to the subway (only four blocks), and very quiet area. Just off the Queensboro Bridge.
"four points sheraton li city"
Close to Manhattan with great price range - good service though location was made difficult by detours and construction. Ultimately a good deal if you want to save from the sky rocketing Manhattan prices
Hotel is beautiful and top notch eveything is very clean and comfortable. Staff is very friendly and room was very spacious. Parking was a problem they didnt have enough parking spaces available in their underground garage so I had to park on the street which after 45 minutes I finally found parking. The other thing the rooms AC was not cool enough […] it was definetly very hot in my room. Read more

"New and convenient"
Hotel is only a 2 block walk from the subway that takes you into manhatton. 20 minute ride to many sights!
"A+++++++++"
This hotel was amazing. the accommodations were awesome and the view from my room was GOURGEOUS!! the price wasn't bad and although not located directly in manhattan, its only about a twenty dollar cab ride back home after a hard night of partying anywhere in manhattan!!!! i am very familiar with the area and although not the greatest NYC has to offer, […] for the price and closeness to manhattan, it can't be beat!!!!!! I Highly Recommend this hotel for any one visiting the NYC City Area, its beautiful very clean very new and it even has a lounge/bar and GYM! take the subway during the early hours then a cab back during the late hours. GREAT HOTEL!!!!!! Read more
"Would stay again"
Hotel felt brand new. Bed was most comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept in. I was right by elevator and fitness room, but couldn't hear anything. The walk to the hotel (about three/four blocks) through the neighborhood was done at night for first time. It was a little scary with all the dark corners of what I thought were closed for the night businesses. […] But, they were still closed in the morning. So, the area is run down. But, definitely worth the value. Easy and fast to get to from Manhattan. I would stay here again. And I'd even bring my mom to this hotel ;-) Read more
"Four Points by Sheraton Long Island"
I paid for "City View" and got a room facing the city of Queensboro, not NYC. The room was comfortable and clean, but the parking was inconvenient! The switch to enter the garage didn't work, and I almost scratched my brand new truck trying to get into a spot! Tiny parking garage...if I had planned better I would have stayed in Jersey City like I did […] last time I went to NYC. Queensboro area, for those of you unaware, is not a particularly clean or safe-feeling area. We braved the 3-block walk to the nearest Mtero station for the sake of checking out the city, but I wouldn't have stayed there if I had just driven through the neighborhood. The elevator took us to roof level, but there was no roof access. That alone would have made it all worthwhile! Read more
"Great experience"
I absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone. It's a brand new hotel as it just opened in April of 2011, so that may have a lot to do with it; but the service and staff were excellent. The location is great as it is only a few minutes away from Manhattan, although the neighborhood it's in is a little iffy. I suggest taking cabs to and from the hotel […] instead of walking around. The hotel itself is very safe and a cab ride to time square was $25. The room was amazing, great view of Manhattan and the bridge (Picture worthy), the shower was one of the best hotel showers I have ever used and the bed was very comfortable. I really don't have anything negative to say, everything was great and I will definitely come back. Read more
"Good business hotel - nothing around"
Excellent business hotel, quiet, clean, good beds and a nice room. they have a good restaurant too. But, besides the restaurant in the hotel there is nothing around worth seeing or using. Good connection to Manhattan via subway, about 500 yards to walk to the station. 10 minutes to downtown Manhattan. Taxi costs 15-20 USDollar from somewhere in Manhattan […] to the hotel. Very good even if you want to do some work in the hotel room. Breakfast as usual in the US - black coffee, that's it. Read more

"Four Points Sheraton - Long Island City -thumbs up"
The Four Points Sheraton is a brand new hotel which opened 4/2011. The location is up & coming, and access to Manhattan was easy and quick on the subway. We enjoyed our stay there. While there we took the subway two stops up to Astoria and enjoyed the restaurants and bustling shops there. Travel to or from JFK Airport is convenient & inexpensive via […] subway line E and the Airtrain . With the escalators & elevators you don't have to haul suitcases up the stairs. It took about 30 minutes. We'll definitely stay there again on future trips to the Big Apple. Read more
"Best choice"
We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights a week after it first open. The experience was wonderful. The lobby was well decorated. The room was spacious and very modern looking. Several small things made our stay rather comfortable. You get a free bottle water everyday and a complementary local beer tasting for each room. The staff at the front desk and at […] the bar were friendly. There are couple subway stations nearby. The yellow line Q and N (39 st stop) will take you to Times Square and other transfer stations pretty fast. The neighborhood was alright. At least, we felt safe walking out late at night. The only thing I didn't really like was the sound proof of the room. It was a bit noisy sometimes because you can hear people walking outside, the elevator door open/close etc. Try to get a room that is in the corner if you can. Read more
