This hotel was gorgeous. The only problem was we stayed there in November and nothing was open in the town. I believe if you go during the summer, this would be a great getaway but probably more of a romantic getaway and not a family vacation. The staff at the hotel were wonderful! We actually left after one day and got a hotel in Palermo.

There is not hotel staff 24 hours a day. We arrived late and had to be let in by hotel guests. Finally, at 2:30am we were in our room. Our water heater broke down, but was replaced the next day. The shower head broke off, that was fixed a few days later. Bruno runs the place, and he does a fairly good job. He was a day late getting our rental car, thankfully we were not on set schedule. As fare as Castellammare, just stay a few days.

Very convenient to the cent of the old district of Trapini. The room was very comfortable and clean. It had a nice kitchen and sofa . Sorry we were only staying one night.

The staff was very kind and helpful, The rooms clean and bright and comfortable, the location (steps away from the ruins and with views of the sea) could not have been better.

The hotel was convenient to the old center of Salemi and we could easily tour the city and the old houses. If you come for this reason be prepared for... the narrow streets in the old city, lots of hills, and to walk. The hotel breakfast was good but typically Italian (no toaster, eggs). The staff was friendly and explained that on the day we went to Agrigento we could call in the afternoon and reserve dinner, which was convenient after many hours on the road. The hotel was convenient to the old center of Salemi and we could easily tour the city and the old houses. We stayed at this hotel for three nights. The staff was wonderful, the facility is five years old and still renovating. It is a wonderful place to stay, not much to visit in Salemi, but a clean, good priced hotel.

Wij vonden het Hotel Mokarta in Salemi een prettig hotel, prima service en schoon. Uitstekende kaart .De eigenaar is uitermate hartelijk. Het hotel ligt op een half uur van de luchthavens van Palermo en Trapani. Het oude centrum van Salemi is aardig om door heen te slenteren, maar is geen top attractie, behalve het museum over de Maffia.
