The room was very nice. Clean, and easy to get to from the Colosseum. Walking throughout the city was not a problem at all. I rated this hotel a 3 only because my check in was slightly less than smooth. I was emailed after booking the room, asking when my arrival time would be. After expressing […] that my sister and I were planning on arriving around 12, but it would depend on our travel time, we got to the location around 2:30. We rang the bell, but no one ever came to the door, even after someone responded to us via the intercom. After about 45 minutes, we walked to a pay phone to call Emily. She was very nice, and was there in about 30 minutes, but it was not exactly how we wanted to spend 2 hours of our day in Rome. This is more like a room to rent than a hotel. Emily was very nice when we saw her but she was rarely available. Our room was outside the 'lobby' with a locked door between the two and no key. The location was great but I would not stay here again.

In January, we spent several hours on line, researching where we wanted to be for our limited two night stay in Rome following a transatlantic cruise from Fort Lauderdale. We chose a "quaint B&B" as opposed to a " traditional hotel" so we could be near the historic areas adjacent to the Colosseo. We booked at the beginning of February (two months in […] advance) and promptly received a confirmation from Hotels.com. While on our cruise, we received another email (on 25 April) from Hotels.com stating "...your booking is confirmed! You don't need to call to reconfirm." On the 29th of April, our shuttle van from the ship, dropped us at the rather shabby looking Emily House, where we found a poorly labeled, locked door with no response to our rings of the bell. A very gracious gentleman next door made a phone call for us to Emily House, and we were told that WE had cancelled our reservation. I can assure you this was most definitely NOT the case, and you can only imagine our confusion, exasperation, and concern that we now did not have a place to stay while toting four pieces of luggage! Once again the same VERY gracious gentleman in the musical instrument repair shop next door, made yet another phone call on our behalf, and in less than 10 minutes we were booked into a much nicer B&B less than a block away! WOW! I would urge anyone and everyone to avoid Emily House and consider the better located, similarly priced, and much nicer Rosetta House. Read more

The location is fabulous - only 5 (walking) minutes from the Colosseum, Forum. Sidewalk cafes and shops just down the street. The room was a good size compared to most European style rooms. Emily herself greeted us. The room was very clean. Sat TV (though no English stations that I could find). Free Wi-Fi (always a plus). The only down side was we were […] sorely in need of more light....several lightbulbs needed to be replaced. The bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was small, but typical - so no complaints there. The location could not have been better if you are interested in seeing the major attractions of Rome. And if you like to walk a bit farther, like we do, you can also get to the Vatican without using a taxi (a nice 3.5km walk). Don't expect 5 star hotel quality, but then again you are not paying for it (only a fraction of the cost). Breakfast was typical […] European style, with coffee, toast, pastry, meat, cheese, yogurt, and juice. Again not amazing, but good value for the money. The bed was a bit disappointing, especially since the double mattress was just two twin beds put together. But we got used to it and managed to get good sleep after walking all day long. We did not go there to spend a lot of time in the hotel room, so the overall accommodations worked out fine. The wireless Internet access was fast and worked pretty well, although the signal strength was not great. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to save money but still stay in a clean, relatively comfortable place. The location was incredible. I would advise you to arrange transportation with the hotel to/from the airport well ahead of time. We had a small issue with our shuttle the morning we left, but it was easy enough to improvise and get a taxi (even early in the morning), and it was only a few Euros more than the shuttle would have been. Had good communication from Emily re arrival time we exchanged mobile numbers in case of delays but we arrived when expected and where let into the room immediately.The room was clean with small ensuite which has a shower toilet and sink,towels where changed daily and room cleaned. The room is very basic and the colour scheme was a bit dated we removed […] the top cover off the bed as it looked rather old and worn,this was replaced with a newer one the next day , by Rome standards the price was excellent. Right under neath the room was a scooter repair shop so if you want an afternoon nap then it can be very noisy. Arrived location and no one on site. The other hotel guest opened the door to let us in. After 15 minutes, Emily came in to greet us in person. Location is good but the room has only the basic. Even though it says bed and breakfast but breakfast is not available.

Det trakk noe ned å ha rom og vindu mot bakgården som hadde en lukt av frityrstekt mat fra Kinarestauranten i 1. etasje. Ellers var vi i grunnen fornøyd med alt tatt prisen i betrakting, som nevnt bortsett fra nærheten til restaurantens kjøkken.

Excellent séjour et accueil! Situation idéale à deux pas du Colisée, forum et Capitole, on peux tout faire à pied, et on est également à deux pas de la station de métro cavour pour les autres sites plus éloignés. Si je devais retourner à Rome se serait dans le même hôtel!!!

Eenvoudig hotel, maar een paar kamers, maar netjes en letterlijk om de hoek bij het Colosseum en het Forum. Er is geen personeel aanwezig dus je ontbijt moet je zelf even pakken, maar eigenlijk is dat ook wel relaxt: je kunt je eigen gang gaan. De straat is soms een beetje onrustig, met name in het weekend (glasbak), maar heel erg is dat ook niet.

Emily er vennligheten selv og veldig hjelpsom. Sentralt beliggenhet og gå avstand til de mest populære serverdighetene. Enkel frokost som var en grei start på dagen. Pluss for vannkoker på rommet samt super effektiv hårføner. Reiser definitivt tilbake hit neste gang i Roma :)

Det er ikke et hotel, men bed & breakfast! Vi fik det dårligste værelse uden dagslys og meget lidt plads! Sengen var ok, men morgenmaden til nul stjerner! Det eneste positive er den fantastiske beliggenhed, nær alle de antikke seværdigheder.

Un ambiente muy familiar, tranquilo y una buena relación calidad/precio. Cerca de las grandes atracciones turísticas, del metro, de bancos, del Colosseo. Muy bueno. Yo volvería. Además, la dueña muy simpática y atenciosa. La única cosa que tendría me mejorar es la ducha que sale poca agua.

Vores ferie startede med at der ikke var nogen til at lukke os ind på hotellet, selvom vi havde ringet og skrevet hvad tid vi kom. Vi måtte vente udenfor en time. Da vi skulle betale kunne vi ikke betale med kort, da maskinen ikke virkede. Vi måtte hæve tre gange for at få kontanter nok. Emily ville godt betale høvegebyr. Det trådløse Internet virkede […] kun på vores toilet, da signalet ikke var ret kraftigt. To af dagene var der kun download, ingen upload. Beliggenhed er perfekt, da man kan gå til alle de store atraktioner i Rom. Emily var meget sød og opmærksom. Alt i alt, hvis man kan leve med de småting nævnt var det en rigtig god ferie. Read more

Dejligt B&B i et skønt nabolag, centralt placeret i gåafstand til alle væsentlige seværdigheder. Værelserne havde en god størrelse og havde alle nødvendige bekvemligheder. Værtinden klargører hver morgen et morgenmåltid til stedets gæster. Hun er meget hjælpsom og imødekommende. Vi vil klar vende tilbage hertil næste gang vi besøger byen.
