Best location in Chaweng Beach. Hotel staff were great, always satisfying our daily needs. Beach was clean and very relaxing. First I must say that the staff at Beachcomber are all very friendly. The hotel itself is very old. The wood floors are badly scratched, peeling and worn. The furniture is the same. The TV didn't work well and it is the old tube-style. The Internet did not work at first, but once fixed was a good connection. Breakfast was not the greatest. Cereal is […] the best option. Instant coffee available. The restaurant looks like it's ready to be torn down. There was a lot of garbage and debris just outside the restaurant. The beach is nice starting at Beachcomber and going south, where there are some nicer resorts. However, there was a large pile of debris and garbage built up on the beach RIGHT in front of the beachcomber. There is a lot of smelly garbage in Thailand and no one seems to care about cleaning it up. If you are on a tight budget this place will do. Note that there is nothing charming about Chaweng - it is a dirty, smelly place where people go to party. Bophut is a much nicer fishing village and quieter. The food quality is also higher there. The hotel is undergoing renovations (not mentioned at the time of booking), with the swimming pool closed, no restaurant or food service, no laundry service and generally in a very run-down condition, although the location is ideal. I was left waiting at the airport, even though I had pre-booked and confirmed directly with the hotel for a pickup. Even […] the airport staff couldn't contact the hotel by phone to find out if they were en route for the pickup, leaving me wondering if they were still open for business! When I finally arrived by local taxi, I was "upgraded" as an apology. In the "upgraded" room the electrical sockets were coming away from the wall, the door lock didn't work (looked like it have previously been ripped off its hinges) and generally the whole property was very run-down and disappointing. I also couldn't manage to get a cake of soap from housekeeping or reception, so ended up buying my own from a local shop. The only "renovation work" I could see being undertaken during my stay was some plastering of walls in one of the many empty rooms. I must say the staff were always friendly and courteous, but then again they didn't have much to do! Read more

Das Hotel hat ist eine sehr schöne Anlage mit schönem Garten und Pool. Direkt am schönen Strand von Chaweng. Ich war eig. sehr zufrieden bis auf die Zimmer. Diese waren nicht so hygienisch und auch nicht schön.
