Great beachfront property, wonderful service, lovely pools, but we couldn't sleep a wink because of the noise from the neighbors. Plus the bed was very hard. Overall, the location made it worth it, but I would NOT stay there again due to the thin hotel room walls.

Stayed here before several years ago. Very unhappy then, and unforetunately nothings changed. Master bedroom was missing a TV, had cable hookup available, just no TV! Matress was hard as a brick, and the condensing unit was so loud it woke me up everytime it came on. The MB bathroom had no shower, just a delapidated jetted tub that looked like someone […] found it at a dump. This isn't a hotel; it's a time share. In the description, it advertised a kitchen. The "kitchen" was a sink, a toaster, and a microwave. There was a hole where the fridge should have been. When I called to inquire about the situation, I was informed that I was going to have to move half way through my stay because someone else wanted my place. No one […] had mentioned it to me, and it was a bit annoying to have to pack up and move to another unit. I found it odd that they hadn't thought to tell me in advance. Presumably, had I not called, they would have just knocked on the door the next morning and told me to get out! The new unit was larger and had a fridge, but the toilet leaked, and the tub was broken. (The maintenance man was super nice, though, and did his best to be help.) The walls are thin, and I could hear eveything going on in the next unit, and I mean EVERYthing! There are many nice placces to stay in the area; I'm not sure I'd stay here again. Read more

Our family decided to leave after only the first night, forfeiting our payment for the second night. There was no indicationn when we rented this place that it was not really a hotel, but a resort that required you to wash your pown dishes, strip your bed and make sure laundry was in a neat pile. There were no services, and we had to wait more than fifteen minutes to get in throught eh gate because we were not given a code and had to wait for someone […] to let us in when they returned to gate offcie. This was a wonderful stay. Our ccondo was spacious with a wonderful kitchen that really saved on eating out. The beach is absolutely beautiful. The rooms were slightly dated but this did not in any way detract from our relaxing stay.

Sadly disappointed. Rooms were not well appointed. LIke a very old Holiday Inn. Creaky floors, poorly lit and dingy. Room was clean, but not hotel-clean. For us, it was great... peace and quiet and the chance to be away from it all close to the beach with LOTS of space (we were only two) and at a great price for Spring Break. The location was very good, and it was great for us to be so close to the beach. The view was amazing from our top-floor unit. This was a time share unit in desparate need of upgrading. The carpet was badly worn and the decor was dismal. The kitchen counters were stained and cracked. The cooking utensils really needed to be replaced - the frying pan […] was so warped that it wouldn't sit on the burner without wobbling. The dishes were clean but so stained that it was not pleasant to even eat off of them. The unit itself was roomy downstairs but there was only a tiny window in the whole upstairs which included a second bedroom and full bath. The heating system would blow both hot and cold air randomly so it was hard to keep the unit comfortable - much less at an even temperature. A good remodeling would make this a nice place to stay. This is not a hotel, but a condo of sorts. And it is not oceanfront. Our stay, however, was pleasant. We did not anticipate the number of steps we had to climb to reach our room either. It's actually a timeshare community that rents over hotels.com when units are not in use. The front desk personnel were underwhelming (if not outright hostile) and the office hours are short - I would not recommend landing there for check-in after 5pm. Since I was curtly informed that they are a TIMESHARE, and not a HOTEL, when we arrived, I wondered […] how they were putting up rooms for sale on a hotel web site. We were also moved to another unit for BIS convenience 1/2 way thru the stay. (Pack up everything in your beach room and move across the property- not terrifically accomodating.) Those were the lowlights, but there's a lot to be said about other features - great beach access, in-room jacuzzi, indoor and outdoor pool (which, sorry to say, was not 'pristine' by any stretch of the imagination) tennis courts, arcade, steam room, snack bar and such. Be prepared for some extra cleaning duties upon checkout. Sheets and towels are provided by the timeshare. Rooms are spacious and work well for small families (one or 2 kids at most with parents in a one bedroom). The very best feature is the location. Overall, we liked it enough to return, because it's location-location-location and the place is passable. Read more

The rooms are actually one, two or three bedroom condos located in a private gated village on the beach in Duck. There is more than ample room for family with fully equipped kitchens, comfortable living room areas, many have jacuzzi tubs. There is an indoor and an outdoor pool, tennis courts, beach snack bar too. We only had a weekend, but would have […] loved to stay longer. Note: if you only have a weekend you may be asked to change condos during your stay. However, the courteous staff helped us to be comfortable during the two weekends we stayed.
