"Peaceful, with great views."
This is a nice place if you want to relax. The hotel is located in peaceful surroundings with lovely views. The beach below is clean and small and has a beach bar. The hotel is situated about a 15 - 20 minute walk from Pythagorion. There is a local bus but it doesn't go frequently. Taxis to the Pythagorion cost 5-7 euros (June 2015). The room was comfortable, the staff were very pleasant and the room and bathroom were cleaned well. Our only problem was with the internet, the LAN cable in the room worked but was very slow. The wifi only seemed to work late at night. We would stay at the hotel again.

"Big dissappointment"
06/20/15 Adam D
To start the review of this hotel i would like to point out that the four star rating on trip advisor and on air tours site is a big joke. Parts of the staff really needs to be educated about serviceminding. The breakfast was a big dissappointment, as a couple you kind of looking forward to a cosy breakfast in the morning but this hotel had very little variation and served several times food from the day before or even worse. Watch out especially for the red juice! ;) Even worse was that no food was helt warm or cold enough, this can't be ok from a hygiene point of view. Though all this negative experiences we really liked the location of the hotel and the ocean view from the room. Also the cleaning was real good! You will have to rent a motorbike or car to get around on the island in a comfortable way. There is no supermarket near the hotel so accept from the pool bar there is no way of buying water or a snack. The pool is ok and the view is real good. The pool bar has a bad and boring (and overpriced) menu. Warning! Do not use the pool toilet, it will give you nightmares...

"What a nice place"

We had a superior room in the new building. Every thing was perfect. The view was fantastic. Buffet breakfast was very good. The pebble beach below was great, cosy and clean. We had to take a taxi to go to town, but it was only 7€ and 5€ to come back. There is a public bus, but the time table is not practical.

"Against our expectations"

We booked our hotel from booking com and paid 140 Euro per night for three of us and comparing with other hotels around ,this hotel does not deserve the money we paid.Room was big enough for three of us,bathroom was ok but there was no curtain or any other preventer at the bath tube and all the water was on the floor, maybe there is a good reason not to put something to water come out and all the bathroom was so slipy and be careful with yourself.Airco was coming directly to the bed and sometime you had to turn of other wise you woke up with a flu for sure.Breakfast wasnt enough so limited.mr ancelo was so symphatic and he sent us a bottle of vine for an excuse.Hotel is not on the beach it is on a hill .Anyway next time for sure I will not be choosing this hotel.

"The most incredible views"

We spent 2 nights at this family run hotel and really enjoyed our stay. We spent hours on the balcony looking at the panoramic view of the sea and Turkey. Same amazing view at breakfast. They served a big buffet with many items including hot eggs. fresh fruits, olives from their trees, etc. It was obvious they wanted to please their guests. It was very conducive for relaxing.

"lovely view"

Note first that you'd like to hire a car if living here. Taxi to town is 5-7 EUR one way. You do not want to walk! And you do not want to have your meals at the hotel. The pool bar is below par. And there is an overpriced restaurant by the beach. Having said this the hotel is very nice, best view I've ever seen. We lived in the main building in a deluxe room, superb view of the sea and Turkey. Nice and clean. Lovely staff, very helpful. Breakfast not very good, do not expect much. If you get a special deal this is a good hotel. Pool very deep though, ca 2-2.8 m!, not good for small children. But good hotel for romance. The beds are really hard but you can ask for additional mattress in the reception.

"our heaven in Samos"
01/04/14 Londonaise L London, United Kingdom
We've visited Samos 7 times since 2001. Our journeys always started from Kusadasi and this beautiful island is our escape point from chaotic cities. We stayed in different hotels in the island; the absolute best is Hotel Princessa with no doubt! It is a family owned and run hotel, very professionally, I must say. Sparkle clean rooms, delicious breakfasts and a view to die on top of very helpful and always friendly staff attracted us each summer to this lovely hotel. Owners invested a lot to refurbish the hotel and the result is brilliant. Rooms are brand new; mattresses are very comfortable and the plexiglass balcony railings helps you enjoyed the spectacular view while you are laying in your bed. it is a heaven! Rooms have plenty of storage, flat screen tv, silent fridge and laptops with internet. We love to stay in the new building. Our daughter and us, we enjoyed the jacuzzi in the balcony every afternoon, it is a bliss to relax in the open air jacuzzi looking at the tremendously beautiful Aegean sea. Although the hotel pool is good, we prefer to spend our days at Glikorisa Beach which is a 5 minutes walk from hotel. In our opinion, it is a best beach in Samos. The hotel use to run a bus service to Pythogoria in the past but stopped unfortunately. If they will improve the menu on the pool bar and restart the bus services, it would be more than perfect. Seeing every year the Mavros family welcoming us to their hotel make us feel like coming back to home. They been so kind and very helpful to us in every aspect over the years. Already looking forward to the next trip.

"We're back!"

This was our third stay at one of our all time favorite places to visit in the world! The Princessa is a hidden gem with all the amenities and much more! The proprietor, Vais, and his family do a wonderful job of welcoming you and making you feel at home. The location is just out of the town of Pythogoria, which is where the airport is located on Samos, so it's convenient to both. This year we traveled with my husband's 2 daughters and their spouses for their first visit to his "family island". They both agreed the Princessa was spectacular and with very reasonable rates. See you next year!

"Below average hotel"

Booked room in main building. Instead were given a room behind the main building, with very limited view of the sea. Refused to supply us (we were couple) with a second key, with the excuse that some clients used the card and kept the ac on even when not in the room. This was very irritating. No internet. I had complained to the reception and was told that I was the only one to have problem. During breakfast, asked some people if they were able to connect and nobody was able. The girl from reception started shouting at me for asking and the manager/owner was just next to her saying nothing. During our 3 days stay no connection was possible. Breakfast very poor. Much better hotels very nearby.

"Good hotel with a nice view"
09/03/13 Elene T Birmingham, England, United Kingdom
The hotel is located on the hill. The view is amazing as probably form any high spot on a Greek island. Therefore to get to the beach one needs to have a little walk. Going downhill nice, but walking back up in hot summer day a bit exhausting. And the beach itslef not the greatest on the island, it is pretty small and overcrowded (Two hotels use it). We drove to other beaches and they were much nicer. The hotel itself is nice, rooms clean, breakfast nice. Food in the restaurant also very nice. The hotel has got nice pool area, where you can relax and have cold beverages. Overall we were satisfied with the stay in hotel.

Nice hotel close to the sea with great view.It is easy to go Pythogorion city center between 5-7 Euro. NIce clean fresh rooms, well cleaned and with balcony and high standard bathroom. It is difficult to find anything negative to say about hotel.
