From the train platform to the hotel is less than a 10 minute walk. Our room (5th floor) overlooked the train station but we couldn't hear a thing even with the window open! It's an old hotel but well maintained and very quiet. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They included a free local transportation pass for the duration of our stay - 4 nights. We didn't use the breakfast service but others told us it was very good and worth the price. All-in-all, if we were to visit Wuppertal again we'd stay at Hotel Astor .

Good value, clean room, although a bit small for 2 adults and 2 kids. The only real downside: Our room had no air condition and it was really hot when we stayed at this hotel. We ended up opening the window at night, but the traffic was very noisy.

It's the most convenient location in town, especially if you need to take the U-bahn or regular trains. Workout room is a treadmill, the Sauna is great,... staff speaks English well, if that's needed. It was for me. The only downside is that you can't put drinks from the bar on your room charges. We were pleasantly surprised with the NH Dortmund Hotel. The room was large and comfortable with 1 bedroom plus living/business room and separate bathroom. Even though the hotel is located in the City centre and next to train station the room was very quiet. The staff were friendly helpful. The hotel has on-site parking. We would stay again.
