"Lovely lovely relaxing stay!"
This was our second stay here. Everything was as lovely as we remembered. Room was prefectly clean with large fluffy towels, robes and slippers. Large balcony overlooking the water and town. Huge breakfast buffet had lots of cheeses, grilled vegetables, fresh eggs made to order, and also delicious sweets. Amazing views. This hotel is getting an elevator […] this summer! The staff is really friendly and kind. We asked for a tour of the other rooms, and wow, all the rooms we saw had the amazing water views, balconies, unique tiles, pretty color schemes. My fiancee went for a swim (April!) in the infinity pool while I lounged. Certainly a first class property. This town is a break from the touristy noise of the other Amalfi towns. "Beautiful property with many thoughtful details"
We had the most amazing stay here. The room was superbly clean, linen sheets, large fluffy towels, Frette robes, flat screen TV with Sky satelite, WIFI and a large balcony with water views. The service was very polite, the outdoor patio with views was amazing at breakfast and in the evenings for cocktails. The infinity pool overlooked the water and […] had large towels, lovely white chairs and cocktail service. Finally, we ordered massages on our balcony, what a treat. You really should take advantage of this on your first morning and relax your way into vacation, you will not regret it. The therapist brought in the table and did a great job. The only downside to this property was the inital walk up from the main street, but they had guys to carry our luggage and after the first time, it seemed shorter and like a nice way to close out the day. In addition, we had our small dog with us and they were very kind to him, which goes a long way in our book. 100% we would recommend this hotel and plan to return. "Excellent Hotel for luxury break"
We had a fabuluous holiday in this hotel. The staff are really helpful - especially the breakfast team who helped make our stay a really wonderful experience. The surroumdings are beautiful, infinity pool the most relaxing experience and the location is ideal for exploring the whole Amalfi coast. We would thoroughly recommend it.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Excellent hotel & location"
Perfect location to relax and enjoy the best Maiori / Amalfi coast has to offer. The staff were super friendly and always approachable. Also as everyone have already mentioned the breakfast was great. One of the few places/hotels that I would gladly return to.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Lovely hotel but with some reservations"
This is a very pleasant, quiet, beautifully decorated, spotless hotel in a lovely location (up 210 steps) but I am not sure it warrants the 5 stars it professes to be. We did not eat dinner in the hotel as it is expensive and the food for breakfast was varied but the same uneaten cakes seemed to reappear for several days. Also a cooked breakfast is […] available but there is no menu and what you are offered depends on who serves you. Drinks are offered at the swimming pool but on a rather adhoc basis. Most of the staff try their utmost to please but there seems to be an overall lack of management supervision and direction particularly with regard to some of the restaurant staff who are young and inexperienced. However when we complained about the restaurant service and issues with the tap in our room which the hotel failed to repair after several requests the manager was most upset and upgraded our room and could not have done more for us. The owner owns a restaurant and hotel in the town and spends most of his time there - I think the hotel would benefit from him being around more. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Amazing Wedding Day!"

We visited the hotel briefly in 2011 for a quick tour and fell in love, from those 20 minutes knew it would be the perfect place to hold our wedding reception. We were right! We dealt with Nadia for a year and a half planning every detail, she was absolutely fantastic and always emailed us back the same day with answers to all our questions. The planning process was so easy, she helped with everything from flowers, nails, photographer, the list goes on. The day its self was wonderful, Nadia sent complimentary Prosecco while we were getting ready, we used the hotel APE to get to the town hall and for the photographer to take us to Minori. Nadia also organised for a vintage Lambretta to meet us outside the town hall to have photographs with. The terrace looked beautiful, Nadia had gone the extra mile in providing fans and pashmina’s for the guests. The food was fantastic we had 5 courses of amazing food followed by a dessert buffet and wedding cake. All the staff were brilliant and there until the early hours looking after our guests. Our room was gorgeous, it had a huge wrap around balcony with access to some beautiful gardens, private outdoor shower, Jacuzzi bath and a gym. We spent a few hours the day after by the gorgeous pool, which was the perfect temperature with the best views. We had a lovely family breakfast the morning after, with another bottle of Prosecco. We couldn't have wished for anything better! Thank you HBSL x

Nothing really to add. The whole family loved it from start to finish. The food is excellent (especially the pizza). The views are breathtaking especially early evening. The rooms are a little small but expertly decorated and it didn't matter as we out all day. Try the boat trip to Capri from the sea front. The waiters (Vitoria and Vincenzo) are great fun.

What an absolute gem! We love a fabulous hotel, and this hotel is up there with the best, the service is incredible, the staff truly are outstanding, especially the maître'd at breakfast!!! but the hotel itself really does take your breath away. We arrived at night, up a few steps into a funicular that took us into heaven, a fabulous boutique room, and the hotel itself just truly beautiful. But the real treat was waking up in the morning, what a VIEW! Honestly magical! And then the infinity pool, and the privacy...you can travel everywhere from the town, we did Capri and Positano and also my highlight a bus trip to Ravello! Ravello is my fav place, stunning gardens and views. We have come back head over heels in love with this place, and will be recommending to everyone! Love love love

"Truly Beautiful - I have fallen in love!"
During a recent trip to Maori I didn't stay at Hotel Botanico but did visit the Botanical Gardens following a recommendation by our Thompson Holiday rep. 5 euros allows admission to the impressive 4-level gardens, built hight up in the cliffs with the most spectacular views right across the coast and even a free cocktail (Lemon of course!) enjoyed on the beautiful terrace overlooking the town below. I instantly fell in love with this place, the views are out of this world and everything about the hotel really is luxurious 5* quality. The staff are super friendly and efficient and even as visitors (not guests) we were treat exceptionally well and I promptly booked a massage at the hotel for the following day & planned to pay to spend the whole day there (for 50 euros you can use the facilities such as infinity pool & outdoor gym) The list of beautiful things about this hotel is endless but worth a mention is the full body massage which took place on a private outdoor terrace complete with jacuzzi & shower, again with breathtaking views and the food which is surprisingly reasonably priced bearing in mind the luxurious surroundings. I have completely fallen in love with Hotel Botanico and am already planning my next trip to stay here - and I haven't even left Maiori yet! If you are looking for a tranquil, luxurious retreat with the most spectacular costal views, friendly service & overall feel-good factor Hotel Botanico is for you! Although be warned - you will not want to leave!
"Best hotel experience ever"

This place was like Paradise. We went before busy season started, and Maiori is a quieter place. Felt like we had the whole hotel and town to ourselves. Neat little mini-funicular takes you most of the way up to this charming hotel clinging to the cliff face. Really beautiful rooms with gorgeous tile in the bathrooms. Beautiful patio looking out over the coast, with great lounge chairs. The restaurant was really top notch too. Can't say enough good things about this place, would go back in a heart beat. Really lovely accomodating staff- especially Chiara and Vittorio in the restaurant!

Spend 4 nights at this beautifully locaties boutique hotel. Aside the challenge of finding the entrance, the experience was super. Very friendly staff, beautifully decorated room with private garden and full breakfast. Well managed garden and pool. Recommendation for a romantic trip
"Fantastic, cannot be faulted"

I stayed in this hotel alone for 8 nights following a close bereavement at home, it was a spur of the moment decision to go away and I have to say that it was the most fantastic and beautiful hotel, with staff that are really helpful, kind and courteous. I will certainly be returning on a regular basis, and cannot find anything negative to say.

Everyone at the HBSL was very efficient, friendly and helpful. Views were fantastic and we liked Maiori as it was less crowded than Positano. Maori has a large beach and a prom which was nice to stroll along although we were told it gets very busy in the summer. Only problem we had was finding the hotel entrance as Satnav was convinced it was up a steep pedestrian path from a side street. In fact the entrance is from the seafront behind another large hotel and a block of flats (not a problem as the HBSL is high up) and there is a small carpark. A wonderful hotel, we look forward to returning!
"Before you go!"

My wife and I are going to Italy (our 1st trip to Europe) for our 40th anniversary. We are in the planning stage and I must say the Team at the Hotel Botanico is FANTASTIC! They have answered emails and each reply is warm and inviting. They have graciously made reservations for us and arranged transportation from Naples Airport and for our day trips. Each email I send is responded to within minutes. Melania, Nadia, and the entire Team should be commended for their EXCELLENT customer service and we truly look forward to the experience.
